Hi,
i've found at my house an old Magellan GPS Companion for Palm Vx and i would like to connect it to my MDA II is it posible? I've got few connectors for my MDA II, could anybody tell me how to connect it? I can destroy case of this gps and move internal components to another box. Please?
Tnanks in advance,
Przemek.
Ps. Sorry for my terrible english
any advices?
You need the pin assignment for the gps, once you have this you just need to match up the tx/rx/gnd on the xda2/mda.

Hi
I have a ipaq 3950 and a GPS Haicom HI203e wired. I just received my knew qtek 2020 or XDAII ans I'd like to use the same wired GPS mouse. The connectors looks too be the same but is the PIN layout the same too? Is there any risk of electric problem for the Qtek? My I use the same cable or buy a knew one?

i think you will have to do some soldering...
You will possibly kill your xda if you use the combined charger/data lead from an ipaq, you can obtain a new lead for it to fit your ipaq for about 20 pounds in uk.
Hi,
I would like to equip my MDA II with GPS. Is there something I should know about it? Any problems? What are the best accessories for MDA II (regarding GPS).
Thanks a lot for any feedback
I would suggest a wired gps if you want to use it only in the car. This will come with charging cable for phone and also power the gps. There are many types of mount available so pick one that suits your purpose. I found that a lot of the powered mounts with built in speaker suffered from rf audio breakthrough which caused very bad noise and interference.

Hi
I have a 3 yearlod XDA1 in perfect working order, and have been thinking about using it again.
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to add sat-nav to it, and if so what I need to do it
Thanks
Steve
Yes you can add sat nav - a friend of mine has and it works perfectly.
You need a gps reciever, in car charger and a memory card large enough to hold the map data.
Can't remember if the xda1 has bluetooth, if it does you could get a bluetooth gps unit but i prefer a wired unit because you don't have to remember to recharge it.
Also obviously you need the satnav software.
Thanks very much for your help
Ill sort it
Steve
xda1 doesn't have bluetooth so you'll have to get a cable to connect the gps receiver to the ppc. oh, you'll probably have to find a cable to connect both the receiving and the power source...having gps drains the hell out of you battery.
cheers
I have Mapking on both my TYTN II and PC and I want to use the one on my PC for navigation as the screen is bigger.
How can I set up my TYTN II as a GPS receiver to be used together with the PC version of Mapking? There is absolutely no help file on this at all. I don't want to spend extra money buying bluetooth GPS receivers.
Any experts here? Please help.

Hi all
anybody knows a shop link for GPS Coaxial cable for MDA Compact IV ??
my gps cable is fauly after LCD Screen replacement ! it recieves no GPS Signal.
Thanks in Advance
Hi
I bought gps / wifi coaxial cable on ebayz! about 7-8 euro!
sorry for my bad english!
Bye
Can you send me the link, where have you ordered? thanks
Hi,
Coaxial cable is utilised to provide a connection between the GPS antenna and receiver. The cable distance can be critical. The antenna must amplify the GPS signal sufficiently to overcome any cable losses associated with the cable run utilised. For finding a shop link for GPS Coaxial cable it is beter for you to search over internet. Also you should try to contact the shop dealer from where you had bought the cable.
Thanks

Hi. Im also looking for new coaxial cables. Anyone know where to find em? I couldnt find any on ebay or by googling.
Edit: Found it from ebay co. uk "OEM AERIAL ANTENNA WIRE RECEPTION FOR HTC TOUCH DIAMOND".
Can anyone measure lenght of GPS and WIFI antenna cables? I mean anyone who have their phones opened or plan open it.
Asking it because i cant find coaxial cables to HTC HD2. But i belive that HD2 and Touch Diamond use same lenght cables. Differnce can be only on GPS cable color if lenghts are same. On HD2 they are white.

Bluetooth/Wifi cable is 9,5cm and GPS is 6cm. I changed my coaxial cables sometime ago and now everything is working fine.
Very big thanks. You helped lot and not only me. I think you helped many HTC HD2 users who need replace these or one cable.
