I give a free BETA of the stand-alone application which works as the fullscreen message for my Phone Profiles 5.0.
It's HAL9000 interface.

Features (see the below pictures):
- display HAL's interface and control monitors
- play HAL's messages (tap the HAL)
- play alert about upcoming phone call and Caller's photo
- play alert about SMS arrived and display the preview of message
- display Earth view with current day/night zones
- display photos from the movie (incl. a few unused scenes) in the random sequence and time
- display battery, memory, card, GSM signal
- fullscreen is splited to 3 main areas:
-- HAL interface: tap to hear the welcome message
-- CM1 (control monitr 1) animated various information
-- CM2 (control monitr 2) animated various information
- tapping outside the above areas will minimize to the tray icon
- tapping the tray icon will maximize
- when phone or sms arrive it will maximize itself
- when you turn the power on it will maximize itself
This program works in connection to my Phone Profiles since 5.0.
It recognize the folder of Caller's photo and ring, you have to set on Phone Profiles program correctly. If you will change this folder you have to close and open this program.
You have to set and use the profile in Phone Profiles with:
- phone message: none
- sms message: none
(in other way, this interface will be overwritten by Phone Profile, in the final version this program will recognize these settings).
CM1:
- tapping when red alert about phone will hide alert
- tapping when red alert about SMS will show message text on CM2
- tapping when Earh View will change the size of the Earth (6 steps)
CM2:
- tapping when text message will hide the text
- tapping when photo will hide or change the photo in random time
About BETA:
- download HAL10.exe
- you have to run this program manually
- no way to close (use any task manager to close)
- no all the movie photos included
- no all the movie sound included
- you have to manually set Phone Profiles options as descr. above
- if you want Earth Europe view side: download earth_europe.zip and unzip to this program's folder on your device (the Earth view is taken ca. 1.2MB of space because is change every hour displays the current day and night view, this is because the program install only the one side of Earth view, I will provide: America, Europe, Asia views, if somebody will request another, please let me know)
- Beta will expire on the end of Febr. 2004

SMS READERSMS Reader is my first android application, it uses the TTS engine on your phone to read incoming SMS as well as messages from the inbox.
I find it very useful when I am driving, running, or even while in the shower, so I don't have to reach for the phone everytime I get a message. People with low sight or even blind may also find it useful, even better with a headset.
Unlike other similar application, it has a clean and simple UI, it supports mono BT devices well and it is designed to be activated or desactivated from other applications, such as Llama, using broadcast intents.
Since v1.1.0 it comes with a widget so you can toggle the service from the homescreen and even lockscreen if using Android 5+.
Main functionnalities:
- Reads incoming messages when activated
- Reads received messages
- Widget available to toggle the service
- Integrated help
- Public intents to activate or deactivate the service from another application
Settings:
- Can be activated on boot
- Can displays the content of the message in a popup, even over lockscreen, leaving the user to choose between reading or dismissing
- Can announce the sender name / number
- Can be muted while a phonecall is active
- Can change the speech rate and language of the TTS engine
- Can change the theme between dark and light (still working on integrating Material Design)
- Can adjust the font size of the message list

PS: While it can be installed on tablets and work without telephony, it won't do much unless the tablet can receive SMS. It was enabled in order to test the application compatibility with large screen and multi-panes.
PPS: For now it is only in english and french, I plan on adding more languages as soon as I find friends who are fluent in english and a language I miss
