xda keyboard on xda 2 - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 Accessories

I have just upgraded to the xda 2 (Qtek 2020 actually) and have found that my foldable keyboard no longer works. Is there anything I can do to rectify this (updated drivers etc). The keyboard is designed by Darfon Electronics Corp and the keyboard name is G7B0.

It happens exactly the same to me! Darfon GB70, worked great with XDA, no way to have it working on Qtek 2020.
XDA Developers Team, please help. Thanks.

XDA 2 keybaord
I bought an IR one in EOL bin at dixons, was 99p. it works with XDA2, palm515, Ipaq, and a Koosa.
It does sorta work.

It should work if you uncheck "Receive all incoming beams".
If not, you may require an updated Darfon keyboard driver.
Search the forums for a similar thread where I have identified at least one version which works.

I have unchecked "Receive all incoming beaming".
I have tried also Compaq keyboard driver 3.03.
Could you identify which thread you refer to?
Thanks, byez

Here is the link for the G7B0 keyboard driver update, by the way I think this is the best engineered folding/sliding keyboard I have ever used.

I fully agree what the keyboard is concerned. Unfortunately the "update" file 7B0Setup_US_V200.exe does not solve my problem. My Darfon G7Bo worked fine wit XDA but does not with XDA IIi (I have incoming beams disabled).
Has anyone this keyboard actually working on a XDA IIi?
Thanks

G7B0 Keyboard Driver
Hi all, i have this keyboard and i have the UK driver that works fine on my XDA2 and on WM5. See attatchment or if anyone want a copy just send me a email.

Uk driver
Thanks a lot for uploading the UK driver.
unfortunately I get the same message after install as I did witht he US driver and subsequently the keyboard still does not work:
"The program you have installed may not display properly because it was designed for a previous version of Windows Mobile software."
Any ideas?
Cheers

Darfon G7B0
Does anybody know if there is also a German Driver availaible for the Darfon Keyboard G7B0?
Therer is listed one on the Darfon list, but the Darfon Website seems to be dead ...
Thank you!

You have to disable the infrared. when you do that it will function properly, dispite the note you received. Try it.

Windows Mobile 6.1 and other keyboards ie. htc touch, touchpal

Hi since installing the cooked rom for windows mobile 6.1 other input devices other than keyboard, block, (default ones) have stopped working.
I think its because touchpal isnt compiled for windows mobile 6.1 sip - does this sound right? Same with HTC and resco keyboard pro no others seem to work.
Can anybody confirm this for me, or have found a keyboard that works. Any pointers would be greatly appriated. Ive tried sktools and changing default sip in there doesnt work.
Sipchange was reported to work, though I didn't flash any WM6.1 yet,
so don't blame me if this is false information

I had the same problems (I use Cyrillic), but on Bepe's ROM V0.54 I've managed to install Microinvest's Micron kbd and it works fine. The only problem was, that I had to set it as default input method twice and now everything is OK.
I'm using bepe 0.54 now and work fine. I've just tested Word using touchpal to make sure and it's OK. No problems.

I need a keyboard that also supports Cyrillic.
Touchpal works like a charm on my WM 6.1 ROM.....
can someone give me the cab file for the touch keyboard labled 'keyboard'? On my GF's touch, her keys don't line up to what is actually typed. Meaning there are about 6 keys that when you think you are hitting them, the key below is actually pressed. It's not an alignment problem. So I'm thinking that if I reinstall the cab? Of course, the problem only got worse after the 6.1 update, so I don't know.
NEVERMIND, it was an alignment issue.
windows 6.1 keyboard on t5388i
hello, i was wandering if someone could help me ,if there is a cab file with windows 6.1 default keyboard to install on t5388i or any device .?

HW Keyboard not working in citrix RDP

hi guys,
I am using a citrix ica client as a remote desktop.ANd unfortunately its not accepting the Hardware keyboard strokes at all. Its only accepting virtual keyboard. Can any kind soul tell me how to completely disable the virtual keyboard and use only the hardware keyboard please ?
I tried changing the few roms availabe, but nothing helps.
Suggestions are welcome , as whats the point of not able to use a keyboard in Remote desktop clients ?

I've just been reading about RDP. It should work if it is install on the phone, not the card, but you can try the opposite, if its not working.

I have tried the citrix client with installed on device.
I will try and then will post the feedback.

I'd forgotten about Citrix until reading this thread. I've just installed it and have the same problem - no working hardware keyboard...
I found another program in witch the hardware keyboard doesn't work; iGO8. I Haven't been able to figure out why, thinking it was an iGO8 problem. Now reading Citrix also doesn't work maybe it isn't an iGO prblem after all.
Still searching for a solution; iGO *must* be use in 320*240 mode, and it seems silly not being able to use the hardware keyboard.
I have a good news. The hardware keyboard works in the ica client. I believe the "Enable Palette Device" in the settings did the trick for me.

Sure.
ica client version: 10.0.57037
ROM: 1.90.401.1 WWE
I played with settings again and unfortunately the previous option indeed doesn't enable the keyboard.
You have to modify the IME settings. Either in global settings or for each server (from the main screen select the remote server, press edit, edit options, set IME settings). Set it to "Disable Client IME" (default is Disable Server IME). Tested it this time
Sorry for the confusion, I enabled more options at the same time.
Just in case anyone else has been having the same problem as me, use Pocket IE to get to the /localaccess page instead of Opera.

It seems the xT9 software breaks keyboard handling somehow. After cooking a ROM without it iGO8 works fine. I'm sure there must be another way (like with Citrix) but I'm happy now.

Bluetooth Keyboard BK600 problem

Hi, I need some help. I have bought a bluetooth keyboard /the price was irresistible/, but the drivers on the CD are for WM5. I have tried to install them, but with no success. I did the Internet search - nothing again - no drivers for WM6. I would appreciate any help or ideas. Thanks in advance.
I would be willing to donate one of these to some one if they can get it working with a x50v
Hi, I have the Omiz rebranded one and used the drivers that came from here:
http://cid-377c591e460f76c2.skydrive.live.com/browse.aspx/.res/377C591E460F76C2!266
I'm currently using the keyboard on my ETEN DX900 with WM6.5 ROM.
search the keyboard using the WM bluetooth app first. use passcode: 0000
open the BTKeybd and check "reconnection". After "reconnection" is checked, proceed to tap on "Active keyboard". The keyboard should be working now.

HTC HD2 and BK600 COM ONE/OMIZ/FREEDOM bt keyboard issue
hi,
i've read this thread with attention, and tried all your solutions. I've still issues.
Installing the first driver (omiz one) it proposes me several choices (my model is not in it), but i've used to have this installer (older version) work for my old acer n50 and my pharos. I guess i've to choose a model with arm and widcomm bt.
No success, it seems that the software installed, but the applicaiton claims it's not a valid ppc one.
Well, i've tested the freedom universal keyboard (second choice) and , the driver installs perfectly; on the htc hd2 side i've paired the devica and grant connexions (the wizard report that the device is connected and the keyboard double green blink -- thats mean it's ok ) , but when i go to program files freedom utility and start it and click on connect, it claim that the device is not paired.
Well ... i think i'll push the "help me" button or buy another keyboard, but ... it seems that i'm really really close.
Any help would be apreciated.
Regards.

bluetooth printing?

searched high an low and found a bunch of nothing except jetset print5 which i wouldnt mind but mighty rom doesnt have it.
does anyone know where i might be able to dl it or if anyone knows of a better app that would be great.....thanks.
ok, so no one knows, how bout this....does anyone know how i can take the jetcet print 5 off my old touch pro and then install it onto my tp2?
Hi Tregrad,
You could try CAB'ing one of the version found in the TouchPRO/Fuze OEM Repository.
I do suggest contacting Weksttek before going through the effort however so as to confirm that JETCET Print is compatible with the new Bluetooth implementation found on the TouchPRO2/Tilt2 and WinMO 6.5.x.
Cheers,

Here you go. Jetset Print 5 all in a nice little cab. I installed it on my TP2 (which it did install to the main memory) to check it out but I have no way to test it. Give it a spin and see if it works out for you. Hope this helps.

that's what I call service. I was going to suggest looking in the windows marketplace, that's where I got my install of it.
awesome PRB thanks a lot i really appreciate it!! I believe there is a 5.1 version out there but this will do just fine, again...... THANKS!
I looked all over the place for it but it costs money and it comes with teh phone so i didnt think i should have to buy it when i have phones that already have it on it.
wow having a real hard time setting it up. will try again later
As pointed out my earlier reply, certain versions of JETCET Print are not compatible with the new Bluetooth implementation (stack) that is present in WinMO 6.5.x and WinMO 6.1.21000+. The best approach to use would be to download the trial version and test it before hand - since it's the latest version.
Here's a link on the subject from about a year ago:

Yea i thought he would follow your advise because you posted as i was typing my reply & uploading the cab i found. I was unaware of the different versions for the new bluetooth implemintation. I did not create the cab I just found it. I was also unable to test the cab as i do not have bluetooth capability on my printer. You advice was probably the best course of action.
I browsed through their Online Support knowledgebase and discovered that there is a 5.4.1198 version floating around. I also noticed these KB articles which confirm my suspicion that earlier version will likely be problematic on new versions of devices:
4516: What Bluetooth stacks does JETCET PRINT support?
7813: What printers does JETCET PRINT v5.2.1059 support?
7839: The HTC HD2 and HTC Touch 2 with JETCET PRINT 5.4.1187 in ROM are unable to locate the PlanOn printer via Bluetooth. What is the problem?
