Best xperia play game yet! Heck on any phone, just bc of the controls.
Awsome thanks for the heads up i bought it straight away lol

Bought! Works great with the control pad. One of the best games I've played so far in my play. And only $2.50 that's cheap!

Just downloaded and played for about 5 mins. Amazing. Graphics are awesome and the control is sweet. Best game on PLAY so far.
Reminds me a little bit of the Dreamcast game "Guts of Rage" I think it was called. So gory.

Looks great, plays great and is silky smooth.
Puts to shame other developers who charge a relative fortune for stuff that isn't half as good as this.
bought it,pretty sweet game but is there any use of the right touch pad or triggers?
Already played it loads on the iphone 4 months back, runs good on the play too and runs at 60fps! one of the best looking mobile games to date.
Yeah, this game is pretty good. Fairly inexpensive, optimized to take advantage of the Play's buttons. I enjoy it quite a bit. I couldn't imagine doing this with the touch screen. It would be so unintuitive and I would constantly get in my field of view due to large fingers.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this game and would recommend it to any person that likes action games, provided they can withstand a little cartoony gore. (Beheadings, Sliced in half laterally, sliced in half vertically, lots of blood from kills which does fade away).
Great game, looks really nice with those cartoony graphics and the controls work really well.

MC3 had an update yesterday.
The good:
The PLAY controls seem to work better, especially aiming, is WAY better.
The bad:
It crashed and rebooted my phone twice while loading a mission.
I updated and it told me to install an additional 761 MB ?!
The game already takes 1 GB !

Yes I had to download that as well. It doesn't necessarily mean its additional, more than likely the download is to update the 1gb of files you already downloaded, so the updated ones are overwritten.
Is this through the market or the gameloft store? Says my version 1.0.0 from the wapshop is up to date :-\
Any chance that it make the game suck up less phone storage?

I find aiming quite easy using the touch pads, although they took a bit of getting used to. The only thing hard is spinning around.
Maybe they should add a button to do a 90/180 degree turn

I agree, Asphalt using the D-Pad is great. Touchpads on that game are a little weird to use though, but who would on a Racing game?
With regards to the MC3 update, this has made my game lag more, when the games not lagging the right thumb pad is a bit more responsive. I had previously got away with using the screen to move and the right thumb pad to aim (less control lag when only one digit on the touchpad, that way...) however the update removes the on-screen controls when you have the PS controls open, so this is no longer a possibility.
Gameloft, sort this out! Not that you would in the slightest be looking at an Xda forum for feedback

Yeah, asphalt tickles just that right spot that burnout revenge does maybe not as greatly but quite alot.
And i even got asphalt 6 for free.
But if update does remove on-screen controls... Im not gonna update, i would have wanted to try MP just out of curiosity but doubtfully i will ever get a chance.
So the good news is that Heroes Call is no longer a Tegra exclusive. It's out for free on the Google Play store, with a revamped IAP system that doesn't brake the game, on the contrary, critics say that it's great and not intrusive.

The big question is: Is this game Play optimized, will we be able to play it on our gamepad?
I'm not at home so I don't have a good internet connection, if someone finds out please report here. Cheers!
Nope. It's just like Runescape lol.

Thank you very much for telling! The e downloaded free from Play Store and works fine on Xperia Play!
I can confirm there's no gamepad support. That's a bummer, the game runs soooo smooth, and looks so great it would be a pity if we never get support.
So now let's pester the dev for that shall we Let them see how many XPlay users are out there, and that we need to be heard!
One guy left a review saying that if the dev got more support for the play he would include it.

Who would include what?
More people should download and rate with comments to bring attention to the problem. Ever since I first played a game that was Play optimized I can't even imagine gaming on a touchscreen, it seems wrong.

This game is perfectly playable with touch screen, you basically do everything with 1 (ONE!) finger. No need for XP controls.
IMHO not everything needs physical buttons, let me list some of my games I can play on touch screen perfectly fine: Mini Motor Racing, Mass Effect Infiltrator, Jetpack Joyride, Temple Run...
I send them an email yesterday asking for controls, they said I was the second person that asked for them.
so start sending those emails!

True, the controls are fine, but I still have to cover the screen with a finger, and that's bad. Using the control scheme from Dungeon Hunter would make this game perfect for our phones.
We could try to ask the devs, and if they are willing to optimize it will be a huge new addition to the Play library. And if not, well, we might learn to live with the touchscreen controls.
I join the request. I sent an email to developers. The more the merrier.
Greetings
So 4 people so far. That's what the reply from the dev said

Just found this. As the creator if this game said he "I love joysticks, but I hate virtual joysticks"
Heres to hoping its supporting Xperia PLAY.

Looks like a great game and with the simple one action type control scheme, no reason why they can't add xperia play support.
WTF,why doesn't this game published by Gameloft but ubi? Is that a sarcasm? Ubi totally had enough of GL's sucking games maybe.

Ubisoft twitter message =
Ubisoft @Ubisoft
#RaymanJungleRun will be out on Google Play Sept 27 @10am CET. Sorry for the unexpected delay, we needed more time for optimization!
I knew that - Ubisoft is like their mobile section - Gameloft. Nearly always iOS before Android. It's everytime the same thing....Hope waiting will bring Xperia Play full support. For now, let's download The Bard's Tale, 74% .

I've got a feeling they are optimizing it for the PLAY. Guess we'll find out next week
This just got leaked (search Google) it has no what so ever xperia play support at all. No launcher icon and no buttons work in game. Not to bad looking and gameplay is nice but not really liking games which only need 1 tap (where is the challenge). Really surprised has no play support as co produced by Dotemu (metalslug, r-type) but guess they sore no point in mapping 1 button. Oh well it's a shame but always have proper rayman on the good old emulators

So not worth it, if they can't optimize/map on button like X for jump...Maybe updated version will have it. If not - I can always play it on my X10 without pain, but on Play I wanted something more....
Guys, I still the chances are strong that there will be an optimized version released formally next week. I can see the hardware working for a variety of functions in the game. My fingers are crossed :fingers-crossed:
No there is no chance. No way any dev will want to map one screen touch (because that's what it is the whole game)
Xplay support is not necessary in a game like this, and your just being petty if you won't touch it because of that
But, actually guys....If you really want have it "Xperia Play optimized unofficial" - please do like me - map one button (which you like best for jump, I like X like in PlayStation), and fell free to call it optimized (except icon i Play's launcher, but I don't care much about it always). There is no unusefull touchscreen buttons, so no way to say that "there is too much things on screen when playing" - this minimalistic form of that game is sure advantage. But it's quite short, but still worth playing ^^.
Err guys is it leaked? My friend showed me download links for the apk and SD data from a warez site.
Yeah so... I might be the only person here who's looking forward to this game. There's no official release date available yet, but Gameloft has announced that it will be available 'later this year' and will be on both iOS and Android.
From what I can tell it looks to be a city builder type game. Playing mini games to earn points, then using those points to buy houses, ponies, items...so on and so forth.
So my questions to you all is: Are you excited for this game? Do you think It'll satisfy My Little Pony fans? Will you be buying this? & If so how much are you willing to pay?
I personally think I will be a good game if they do 2 simple things. Listen to what the fans have to say, and have it reflect future episodes, meaning if new ponies make their appearance in season 3, I think Gameloft should add them into the game and to do as much as possible to have the game reflect the TV show. If they keep the updates coming this game should have some lasting appeal & replay value.
Check out the iPad game play demo and let me know what you think.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlBInHiJ-74
As a fellow brony, this excites me. /)
Like you said, as long as Gameloft listens to what the fans have to say. And of course new ponies and cannon names and the whatnot. And I hope that they include some of the maybe not so well known background ponies. Such as Lyra, Bon Bon, and Dr. Whooves, etc.. I'd probably pay anywhere between 5 and 10 dollars. Depending on how much content is actually in the game.
Possibly....even if I stopped watching it after season 2 episode 1....I still read the fanfics though lol.

Thanks for the heads up, my wife loves games like this and the more cutesy the better
Edit: just watched the video, no way will this run on her ****ty wildfire s
They could make great use of the Xperia Plays touch pads on this game, instead of touch swiping the screen to navigate you could just use the touch pads. And the mini games could make great use of the D-pad. The game has huge potential hopefully they put effort into this instead of just selling the name and making a quick buck.

The only 'major' issue I've come across is the inability to connect to Gameloft & stay connected.
It's a flaw in the game, I expect this to be fixed pretty soon considering most challenges have to do with connecting to gameloft and interacting with other ponies.
All in all a pretty good game tho, I've played it more than Halo 4 so far...

Not really, after you hit level 20 everything you need is pretty much there. I currently have 35,000+ bits right now and that number increases every 3 minutes or so. I've also done all the available 'challenges' for the time being (besides the GL ones obviously)
So yeah hopefully we'll see an update soon...
