Hi All,
Please help me on my query.
I purchased the galaxy s6 gold from ebay whose model number is SM-920V with
Android version of 5.1.1
Basedband version - G920VVRU4BOK7
Kernal - 3.10.61-6309174
[email protected] #1
FRI NOV 20 15:21:24 KST 2015
Build number - LMY47.G920VVRU3BOG5
Its an unlocked phone and i am using it in Australia with Vodafone. Repeatedly I keep on getting "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped." message whenever i try to open any apps.
I tried factory reset, deleting cache partition and starting the phone in safeMode but the problem persists. I read somewhere I need to update the firmware but I wont get any software updates from carrier I came to know. Another option is to Flash stock ROM for the same model but different baseband version.
I wonder by doing so will it relock the phone to verizon?
The ebay vendor asked not to flash ROM the device as it might possibly relock it to verizon
What are my other options to do an software update?
Having the same problem PLZ HELP!
Device: SM-G920I
Build Number: NRD90M.G920IDVU3FQD4
OS: Stock Android 7.0
Trying to install TWRP/Magisk onto my international version S6. Developer options doesn't show the option for "Allow OEM Unlock". The phone was purchased unlocked/never tied to a carrier from a US store.
international models are unlocked. just reboot into download mode and install your recovery
Hello, am Steven. I own a Samsung j7 nxt (sm-j701f/DS). I recently enabled "developer options" and accidentally activated the OEM lock. Having switched it off in order to replace a Sim card, I did boot the device normally but only to get the logo plus a feedback message, "custom binary blocked by oem lock." Afterwards the phone switched off. So basically that's all it does now when I try to boot it. Am lost about what to do because I can't check for software information in order to install specific firmware. I can only access the model number as stated above in brackets.
If there's a way to remove the OEM lock without a firmware update, I would really appreciate that help, otherwise I don't know how to choose the right firmware for this phone, since I don't want to brick it am hesitant to make a firmware update.
What should I do?

Got the same Issue with a G955f after running factory reset (device bought used from store with IMEI nr on receipt) no access t recovery, no adb possible. Any solutions?
Hi all
I am looking to flash a non us variant stock rom with hopes of unlock oem option to show up because appearntly in north american versions it's missing in developer options permanently. I was able to flash another region once via odin, the origin rom was A515W (canadian variant) to A515U1 but could make the jump to A515F after it. I'm wondering it could be due to reason that the second time bootloader version wasn't higher like the first time (or it could be that A515F only works on dual sims ?)
My end goal is to instal custom roms so if there is a shortcut to without going through these hoops I would appreciate it.

Have you found any solution? I am opposite. I have a US variant wanting to unlock oem bootloader option on my us variant A51 but it is not available after setting up developer settings?? Please share any ideas
The US variants have locked bootloaders for a few years now. You can't unlock even by flashing firmware from other countries. The only way is a paid service. You can find it here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...unlock-for-samsung-us-canada-devices.4215101/ or here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/sampwnd-usa-model-bl-unlock-info-u-u1-w.4201689/
Hello everyone, I've been looking for some information about this Galaxy a51 (which I think it's a US version and I'm outside US) with the following features:
Model number: SM-S515DL
Android Version: 11
One UI version: 3.1
Baseband version: S515DLUDU8CUK1
Kernel version: 4.14.113-22754548
Service provider software version: SAOMC_SM-S515DL_TFN_TFV_RR_0015 TFV/TFV/TFN
Software update info version: S515DLUDU8CUK1 / S515DLTFN8CUK1 / S515DLUDU8CUK1
Security patch level: October 1, 2021
I got it from Amazon and it says it's a CDMA device, of course it is network locked and it's showing the invalid SIM card message. So I got a couple of questions hoping you can share your comments:
1. Is it possible to do a stock firmware flash and get rid of carrier content and locked SIM?
2. Can I use galaxy firmware.com files to do so? I see there is a S515DLUDU8CUK1 version with different region, if so which region to pick?
3. or maybe is it possible to do it by installing a custom ROM?
4. Could the z3x or octoplus unlock network? (I can't get the unlocking PIN or region screen)
There are still a lot of things to learn, unfortunately I saw there is not much info for this model on forum sections. I found mostly information for A515F and other variants of a51, could I just use them? is there any risk? Beyond the unlocking network I'd really like to try a custom rom and get rid of all the stuff it comes with.
Greetings!
Yeah, eveything should be possible, but you must change you language manually after setup, when you flash a different Firmware from another country or another region. If you flash a new Firmware you also should be able to unlock your bootloader and then you habe the Go for flashing every Rom you want. With a different Rom or Firmware you should be able to get rid of Carrier content etc.
Okay so far I've been using it as an offline device and it is just fine. I am waiting for SamKey to release the network unlock since it only supports binary 3 and below. I dunno which other software supports binary 8. My bootloader is locked it does not show up at developer options.
Anyway I am just playing games on it, watching videos and surfing the net with wifi. Just like they say if it's not broken don't fix it. I will just wait until this device gets more support and then I'd probably try roms and other stuff.

Not sure if it will get much support being from 2019. I'm not an expert with Androids but bought same models from Tracfone and with 60 days after activation they were eligible for unlock. They took IMEIs and sent email with two codes in it (different based on IMEI because for two of my devices they were different). after punching number it brought up the device unlock menu and after the two codes were entered got messages that they're unlocked. worked with different sim without an issue afterwards. Its currently up to Android 12 UI 4.1 as far as official updates.
