I cant find the Sound Enhancer in the marketplace anymore and I dont have it installed. Where can I get it from ? and why did they remove it?
Sound Enhancer is remove from Market Place. You can use that file: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19286646&postcount=2
Why did they remove it?
I have it installed and tried changing settings, but didn't hear any differences while using earphones on my HD2. If you use it, how do you set it in order to get better performance?

For HTC Sound Enhancer in settings not apps list (the same like Omega device) today in thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1248799 I find *.xap file for that: http://xboxmod.sylvester20007.com/xaps/
On that page is many more *.xap files from new Omega device.
Hey, I don't want to open up a new thread.
So, I'm asking here - is there anyone with the new XAP of HTC Sound Optimization as is the old Sound Enhancer is now called?
I'm using Intrinsinc, I'm seeing the Attentive phone app, but not the Sound Enhancer/Sound Optimization app.
Regards,
Alex.

If you previously installed sound enhancer, you can get it back with the re-installer app, and no I do not have the xap
I copy and pasted them in media, media/notifications, and notifications folders. all 3! none of them let me change the notification sound for hangouts and SMS, or facebook messenger. Where are they stored on kitkat to change them,
EDIT: Same goes for ringtones... What folder?
All i can tell you is to download the Rings Extended application. If they won't show up in the standard sound picker, they will show up in that app.
Have you tried restarting/rebooting your phone? I don't have mine yet, but that had happened on my current Samsung and that would fix it, after the reboot the new files were finally recognized.

You can achieve it using the following ways
- To delete all the sound files of all third party apps like WhatsApp, Facebook etc. Most of the time they are stored on your internal storage.
- Some of the apps allows you to customize the notification sound
- Navigate to /system/media/audio/ui/ and rename the files(some of them are used by camera click, lock sound etc)
Thanks Hoax but couldn't find the sound files of these apps...

settings>sounds>notification sound -0 and tone-none.
Could someone pull these audio files and send them to me? I'm wanting to add them to my Audio Project here on XDA for others to enjoy. I got to test a idol and the tones sounded nice for notifications and such.
Anyone?
The files you need are from the LP media folder?

Hi all.
I am using Messenger for Facebook chat. Problem that I have is notification sound. I can't turn it off. I have put all options into Silent, however whenever I get any message, it plays sound.
Has anyone got the same issue?
Hello,
Download the attachment and extract the mp3 from the zip file. Put the mp3 file in the notifications folder from the internal memory of the phone.
Go to facebook messenger app -> notifications and sound and select silence as a notification sound.
Good luck

Where would this notifications folder be? I tried putting it in the "sounds" folder but it didn't work..

There is a folder "Notifications" in root of your phone
Put it there then follow upper guide. Basically you are choosing sound this sound instead default one. This is notification without sound so it is quiet.
Unfortunately I don't have this folder. I'm using a Huawei p40 pro with latest emui. Would it work if I created a folder with that name?

You can set your notification sound on settings - sound and vibration - notification sound - music on device.
Or you want it for Messenger too ??
You can create a folder named "Notifications" without any problem. Or see the locations from which you can choose and put the sound there.
I put it in the "sounds" and it works. Thanks guys!
