I deleted constructor bootanimation at /system/media and restarted the device.
When at restart another bootanimation took its place (white writed android animation)
But when i try to get the old one back it wont be taken as boot animation and the android bootanimation stays.
I cant find where it is please help !
Best regards, DarZz_II

I installed Boot Animation Changer and i have checked the other 4 posts. But i un-installed it and went back to changing the boot animation manually. Except the /system/media/bootanimation.zip is not been used upon booting. i think the program has told the phone to look elsewhere for the animation file and i cannot find where the phone is looking for the animation file. Any help will be great.
Hi Gurus,
First of all to tell you, I am running my Canvas 2 on a 4.2.2 based Custom Rom.
I want to remove Shutdown Animation which is provided in this Custom Rom
I have gone through the threads where I can create, change or Remove the Shutdown Animation but still a Shutdown logo is apearing.
I have removed all shutdown files from /System/Media.
What else am I missing here? What file is to be removed or modified to remove the Shutdown logo (its an Android Logo).
Please help.

Same problem here. Removing shutanimation.zip from media doesn't work. That stupid "android" logo never goes.

Is there a manual how to change the bootlogo when i turn on the phone? I mean not the Samsung boot animation.
I want to save the original bootlogo and create an new bootlogo.
first and most importantly, you need to be rooted
then you use a root browser, like romtoolbox or anything similiar and go to system/media
you will see the bootanimation file there
but if you want to get a bootanimation file to put in that location, you need to rename the original one to *.bak, put the new one, make sure the permissions of the new file are the same as the old one, reboot, and you are done
Thank you but i want to change the Bootlogo. The Logo "Galaxy Note Edge" when i turn on the phone, before the Samsung Animation comes.
When I go into system/bin all I had was 1 bootanimation file that I renamed to bootanimation.off2 and then I tried flashing my boot animation butt it's just black after the boot logo, any suggestions please, system/media has alot of files, but now I have in-system Ben a boot Checker that appeared out of nowhere it's a file in his right next to the bootanimation file I renamed to bootanimation.off2

Name is bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg
Shut animation is shutdown.qmg
No touch in bin.

You should know diffwrent about boot logo (splash screen) which dark bg and write samsung galaxy ....
If you want to change this you need to search for original splash flash zip because after change it . It can only change back by flash original one. It not change though you change rom or factory reset.
Boot animation is easier to change. Just go to thread that share boot animation downliad flash zip and flash it. If you nandroid backup your rom first , you can always restore . Or you may copy original qmg file to somewhere.

Hello! Earlier I installed the Xperia X boot animation by replacing the original bootanimation.zip with it, I also put the permissions to rw r r, however the boot animation didn't change at all! The file has been replaced but when I reboot, the phone shows the original one.
Any idea about that?
