Question Problem with the Alexa APP - Xiaomi 12S Ultra

Hey guys, i using the EU Xiaomi Mui 13.0.12 VERSION and my Alexa APP is crashing every 3 seconds.
You can have a similar issue in another app? I tried to clear cache, data, reinstall, install again, remove the notification, give persons and nothing.

When it happened to me, I fixed it by deleting my account in sync and re-adding everything. Hope this helps...

Here's what worked for me:
Uninstalled the update.
Open Search and go into settings.
In the Voice tab unselect "Hotword Detection."
Reinstall the update.
Do the happy dance.
Cheers.

Just unchecking Hotword Detection will work. No need to uninstall and reinstall those updates. Still, thanks for the workaround. Google Now is working again.

For me, when it's loading up the cards, I quickly tap the three dots on the bottom and then click settings. Then it takes me to the options and I can get it unchecked. It's more of how quick you can tap the bottom and click settings.
I'm too slow

GMail not "push" syncing

Hi all
For some reason, despite being clearly ticked to auto sync, it only refreshes manually.
Any ideas? Some other apps like Words With Friends have also stopped syncing.
I haven't done anything and am running stock 30O update unrooted.
Cheers.

Sync works fine here!
Did you accidentally tik the Sync Icon on the QuickSettings screen and disabled syncing?
No. That was one of the first things I checked.
Have you tried removing the Google account from your phone and then readding it?
If not then clear cache to Google Play Services, remove your Google Account, reboot.
Add your Google Account and it should work.

see if this is checked Gmail app>Label settings> Notify for every message.
if it is unchecked, check it.
I haven't, but that wouldn't explain other apps not syncing either. It seems it is a general push notification issue.
They will arrive if I reboot my phone but after that, no joy

Good point.. as well as to add,
- Any hosts block (Adblock?)
- Blocking permissions to apps
- Greenify (Don't greenify every single app)
- Xposed modules?

Nope, none of that. Running stock with nothing like that enabled.
Oh okay well just give the clear cache, remove acct, reboot, add it again. See if it works.
OK. I removed all accounts including Google, and wiped cache and phones cache from recovery. Still seems like it's not working and have to so it manual.
Still no joy. Just checked GMail and had plenty of emails from last night. Reset phone then I guess.

I believe they wanted you to clear cached from Google Services in the app section and not in recovery. I have had similar issues like yours before and clearing Google services data and cache have helped
I did that too prior
My problem has been resolved by removing Gmail update, and now it's pushing again!

Annoying "no location" popup on boot

Hello everyone.
I decided to post this question here instead of my specific device's forum because I believe it is an issue of android itself, not my phone.
Since a couple of days ago, there is an annoying popup that appears on every boot, right after I unlock for the first time. The message reads:
No location access
Device location for all apps is
turned off, and you might not be
able to locate your device if it's
lost.
Yes, I'm aware of that, since I keep my location off for privacy and battery concerns, and that popup annoys me because it's an extra step for me to take. I suspect it's generated by Google Play Services, but I can't be sure.
Has anyone else seen it? Any ideas to disable it?

I have. And you're right. Its generated by Google Play Services. I got rid of it by disabling a bunch of Google Play Service's services

Thank you very much for your confirmation.
Do you remember by any chance which services did you disable to get rid of the popup? I'm betting doing that will screw up google maps and possibly some other gapps, but I'm willing to do it because that popup is sooo annoying.
Thanks.

Disabling them will cripple the device's location services. Though you'll probably still be able to get your location info by using the GPS only.
Here are the services I disabled
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.gms.locationsharing.service.LocationSharingSettingInjectorService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.gms.nearby.connection.service.NearbyConnectionsAsyncService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.gms.clearcut.service.ClearcutLoggerService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.gms.clearcut.service.PlayLogBrokerService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.gms.common.stats.GmsCoreStatsService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.location.fused.FusedLocationService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.location.internal.PendingIntentCallbackService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.location.geocode.GeocodeService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.location.network.NetworkLocationService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.location.internal.GoogleLocationManagerService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.location.geofencer.service.GeofenceProviderService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.location.internal.server.GoogleLocationService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.location.reporting.service.LocationHistoryInjectorService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.location.reporting.service.DispatchingService
com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.gms.mdm.services.NetworkQualityAndroidService
Finding them all might be a bit tedious so here's a backup you can restore using DisableService from the Playstore
Woah, that's mighty cool of you. Thanks! I appreciate it.

Using backup. I double-checked and they are disabled
On my Note 4 I noticed an auto update a few days ago which I couldn't stop.
Today, my Skype auto logged out and when I tried to log in I couldn't. I entered my password 4 times and I couldn't log in. I tried login into my PC and it was fine so it wasn't a problem with my password.
So I restarted my note 4 and got this "No location access" pop-up. However I was able to login to Skype.
Are these two things connected? It seems weird. And the pop-up is blatantly scaremongering saying if location is disabled the phone cannot be tracked if it's lost.. yeah Google, on yer bike.

Okay. Try restoring this backup instead. I'm 100% sure it'll work because thats my current config and I'm pop up free. It seems to have broken the smart lock feature though. But if you don't mind/use that then you should be fine.

I really don't know. Maybe it was just a minor glitch/bug in the app. It does seem weird though. But if you're interested in getting rid of the pop up then check the post above.
I just disabled preference service. And the popup is gone.

Code:
pm disable com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.location.util.PreferenceService;

Facebook and messenger can't connect after root

I don't either. I'm not sure why it doesn't work it just stopped after I rooted the device.
You did a fresh install and not just a reinstall from Titanium Backup?

Yes sir I did. Multiple times. I'm not sure what the issue is. Its very strange because everything else works just Facebook and messenger. Instagram links don't open as well. Facebook says "can't connect, tap to retry"
I installed adaway and that might have been the turning point. Not sure.
Add it to MagiskHide.

I would completely uninstall the app, reinstall, add to MagiskHide before you even open the app for the first time after you reinstall it. If that doesn't work, I have no idea. That's super weird that you're having this issue. I've never had this problem before.

Question can not copy google account data after clearing storage of play services

Hello all,
I have a problem if anyone can help me
I felt like my galaxy s10 plus had a battery drain so i cleared the storage of the play services in am attempt to fix it. After that my watch could not connect to my phone. I made a factory reset so it was able to connect but it can not copy the google account no matter how many times i try. I tried to make another factory reset, and to uninstall and reinstall the galaxy wearable app but no luck

Just tried and it did not work, both phome amd watch are on one ui 4.0
I solved the issue! By clearing the storage of google play services again! The watch got diconnected again and had to make a reset for the watch to connect but this time the account got copied with no problems.
Hi, when you say clearing the storage, do you mean clearing cache or everything? I can't sync my google account in the watch; never could, and I'm looking for solutions. My phone is a Xiaomi Mi 9. Thanks.
I'm on the same problem with oneplus 9 pro. Can't find a way to add google account to the watch. It was working perfect but after update stop connecting with the galaxy wear app, so i did a reset to the watch. Now stuck on this problem
