Database Info

After changing to KingVIP ROM B357 can't send SMS / Text messages

Hi this has working perfectly in the stock ROM never had a single issue sending or receiving text messages. I'm not even talking about MMS messages, just basic text messages. I'd been using Go SMS Pro and did a backup and restore after flashing this ROM. SMS from SIM 2 had been working, but not from SIM 1. I tried resetting permissions, clearing data, deleting the SMS database itself and nothing has working. I just tried a factory reset and using the stock SMS app wouldn't send from either SIM card.
This is really annoying as SMS and calls are the main purpose of a phone and not sure why it doesn't work.
I'm not sure what else I can now do without waiting for a different ROM to be released. I'm in Australia and did notice there's no option to choose Australia as a region, but couldn't imagine that making a difference. I've also tried other SMS apps and none of them will work either. I'm not sure what else I can do. Please if anyone has an idea let me know. Thanks

well thats weird. i just installed kangvip B357 as well and texts are working just fine. have u tried manually adding your provider's APN details, see if that helps?

Hi I don't think it's to do with the apn settings, i've reset them and checked them. Using GO SMS I can send from SIM 2, but not SIM 1. Using any other app other than GO SMS I can't send send at all. It will just try sending for 10 - 20 seconds then say failed. Does anyone have any ideas or is there a way to fully reset the SMS database other than deleting the smsmms db file in /data/data ?

I did a factory reset, which I thought should do it. I might try again and clear data also removing everything. I believe I restored the SMS database using Go SMS and maybe with the dual SIMs it somehow got corrupt, but am really not sure what the issue is.

just to be sure: you have tried different recipient numbers, right? not just the same over and over?

I have the B357 kangvip, and I can send MMS but not receive them. Text messages works both way. Did a factory reset and it worked again until I installed all apps again. Might be the AdAway app, but I don't know

Hi I tried again yesterday did a full completely wipe including data. Again couldn't send SMS from either sims even took one sim out and tried still wouldn't work. It worked perfectly on the stock rom. I've tried different recipients and it doesn't work for any of them. I have no idea why this won't work calling from both sims works fine

Unable to Receive Text Notifications On Huawei Watch

I'm having a really weird problem right now. My Huawei Watch 1 was working perfectly before I upgraded my phone to the Galaxy Note 8 from the S8+ I reset the watch and notifications for text messages stopped working and Android messages won't load to the watch. At first I was getting text messages, but now it's not showing them at all. I checked the version after a factory data reset and I have the newest software installed. The other problem is that Android Messages won't install on the watch because the current version of it isn't compatible with the watch. I'm getting notifications for something else and full notification access is being given to Android Wear and Huawei Services. I haven't been able to send messages via other apps like Wear Messenger which works temporarily but then fails.
Has anyone had this issue and is there a solution? I haven't been able to find an answer anywhere for this.

Having the same issue. Installed "Feel The Wear" app and am now getting a notification, but the message itself doesn't appear on my phone.

huawei G7L01 repetitive messages

Hi,
I have a G7 LO1 phone.. i have been having an issue with my messaging service,
When someone sends me a text, i receive that same text almost 5 or 6 times.
I have formatted my phone but this problem does not go away.
Can someone please help me out.
My EMUI version is 3.1

TA-1000-> TA-1003 after Android 9 update can't receive some SMS

My Nokia 6 is TA-1000 from China and updated to TA-1003, no problem on all update till recent Android 9 update.
After Android 9 update, I can't receive some (not all) SMS, for example SMS verification from TELEGRAM.
Same SIM card works on other phone like ReadMi 4 note. I have tried Pulse SMS APP and also go setup to uninstall Messages update, both can't work too.
Any help?

I have Nokia 6 TA-1000 Updated to PIE and SMS works properly on native Messaging app.
Have You tried Google Messages app? You can set default SMS application in Android settings.

Yes. I have tried all possibility including using Pulse SMS. It has problem with some SMS at all.

Update： The problem seems solved.
I solved it by: Forced Stop the APPs, clear the Cache Data, delete all Blocked number, restart the phone and restart the APPs.

Hey guys I have a problem in my Huawei P20,
whenever I try to send a message to my service provider or any service that uses bots, like recently I applied to take my Covid shot by SMS, the first couple of time it went fine, but later on I started getting this error, now I can only message people and not services and stuff to confirm or even interact with any SMS based services.
The solution I already tried:
reset my network settings.
delete all messages app cache and data,
delete all messages app updates,
I hope my english isn't that bad so you guys can understand what is my issue exactly.
