Question Dex supported? - Google Pixel 7 Pro

Can this device run Samsung DEX? installed it but can't find it and want to link it to my PC to use like i would with DEX.
Is google doing their own thing with a similar app i'm unaware of?

DeX is a Samsung only feature.

I'm only partially familiar with DEX. I know the basics about it, but that's it. I don't know if Microsoft's "Link your phone" feature has any similarities. Used to be called the "Your phone" app, and before that was called something else, but "Link your phone" appears to be integrated into Windows 10, and I assume 11, too, now.
There's also TeamViewer, and also scrcpy:

Dex is a very good PC emulator. It's limited to 1080p. If it were 4k it would be good enough to ditch your PC using a high end Samsung. Google SHOULD work on similar software for their Chromesuck device.

I think Phone Link app from Microsoft sounds like something for you.

marketplace and device recognition

I got a tattoo. It's nice but the whole approach to different resolutions is just bull****. The short story: I can't get **** unless I can find a non-market download on the internet. For certain apps like meebo, astro, etc I can't find any.
Does anyone know where, when and how my device identitifies itself to the market. Did anyone experiment yet with changing the Id in the device itself or maybe spoofing it during initial communication?
I found a marketplace enabler but it only spoofs countries.
Not Dev & Hack related. Moving to Q&A.

Remote Control Your Phone from Your PC

Does anyone know if there is any software out there
that would allow me to remote into my android phone via my pc? All I'm really looking for is to be able to remotely view the screen of my phone remotely.
There is a great software package out there made by
http://www.soti.net/
but they do not have software available for Android.
This would be for use with the new evo
Any ideas?
Thansk
Picme in market.
You can also setup dyndns if you know how and what it can do. They also have an app
I'm currently working on data access and full phone control. It's kinda hard to get everything working together.

Have you heard of this product?
http://airwatchstore.com/
I wonder if it really works with android. I don't have an Android yet, as I'm looking at getting the Evo later this week.
Will someone try the demo, and let me know what they think?
Thanks
*RoidRage I'm excited to see your product developed. I think your developing in a good niche as there doesn't seem to be very much software out there for this application of remoting into your phone. I'll definitiley have to give it a try.
I briefly looked at it. Appears to only be for Windows mobile and iPhone.

that's what I noticed too, however when you go to purchase it asks you what OS you have, and there is an Android option, but perhaps they are just collecting date, although in their wiki file it also mentions they support android.

What is the benefit for microsoft? I mean, it's free, so what do they get from it?

I would assume that with a larger user base (android), it'll give a nice boost to on{X}'s "recipes" which is always a great thing as it will serve as references to other platforms running on{x} in near future
Yield is everything when it comes to such approach (on{X})
Can someone tell me the huge different to tasker oder automateit? It looks like that its the same with programming instead of klicking?
There is just one thing I don't like on this app:
Facebook login and using my private data
Why such app need to do this, and why can't I use other login possibilities?(windows live, google etc?)

you cannot do as much with one ex as with tasker. also you need to do the recepies on your pc and then push to your phone and as retsam88 said, you have to log in via facebook. so, tasker is the better solution for me.

Lol, Gmail is free but you don't see us asking that But seriously, there's nothing wrong with them increasing their userbase. Thats why you see Google apps on iPhone.

[Q] Locally-Stored Android App

I am new to the app scene. I was curious if there was a way to store apps locally, without the need of sales/Play Store/Amazon Store/etc.
I am just looking at storing it locally on a phone, or possibly a tablet, to show to potential clients. And also for portfolio purposes, down the road.
Again, I am a self-professed "noob", so all help is appreciated.
Thank you.

unless it is your personal app, you will need to get it from one of the stores at some point.
some apps can be downloaded by other means, but that is highly frowned upon, and against the rules to even discuss here (so please dont comment back on it).
if your device is rooted, you could use an app like titanium to make a backup of all the apps. then they would be saved locally, but i dont know how compatible that backup would be if you tried to restore it on other devices.
i would think if its a paid app, there is likely some entitlement verification coded into the app. so if it cant verify through one of the stores, it likely wont work properly if at all.
It would be apps that I build. So it would be for my own personal use. Like I said, it's to show potential clients. I would be using it to show how an app works, as a display to the client.
It will be my work. And it will be strictly for my clients.
All help is appreciated.
Thanks.

once you install an app on any device, from any source, you can use
1.apk extractor
2.es file explorer
to have the apk file, which can then be run on other devices as an installer.
or, you could dowbnload the apk straight from google play, search how with the search button.
Ok help me understand this.
It will be your app. One you make for your clients. which would mean your doing all the coding and building of the app, But you dont know how to store a simple apk on your device?

Yea, that was kind of confusing me too.
If you build the app, you can store and show it on any device its compatible.
I must be missing the issue here.

Yeah, like I said, I am completely new to this. I haven't even developed an app yet. I just wanted to visually, in my head, figure out how to display it to clients. I have clients. It's just a matter of developing apps, as far as coding.
I'm sorry if my questions are either dumb or easily answered. Thanks for all the help, though.
Regards.

OK man then you are getting way ahead of yourself. First your gonna need to learn a few programing languages. Like Java and C+. Hell I would even start by reading these forums for a while as you seem like you really have no idea what your getting into.
