Question Swap back and recent buttons? - Google Pixel 7 Pro

I know there was a way using Custom Navigation Bar from the Play store, but support stopped at A10.
Is there any way to swap back and recent buttons for our P7Pro?

Honestly I was going through settings trying to find the back, home and recent buttons. I decided to try it without for a day. I got used to the swipe up to exit app and right or left swipe to go back. I don't miss those buttons.

Settings > System > Gestures > System Navigation > 3 Button Navigation will add the Go Back, Home, and Switch Apps buttons at the bottom of your screen.

Right, but you can't swap back and recent buttons. I want back button on right, and recent on left.

AOSPMods can help you with that if you're rooted

AWESOME, thank you!
I also have 15 years of "right-side back" repetitive habituation and I'm not about to try to break it.
I gave the gestures a good try, literally a full week of struggle. It's not that I'm not capable, it's that I feel like the gesture function is slower and less efficient than tapping a visible button.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! You saved my old muscle memory!

What the matter with just:
Code:
$ settings put secure sysui_nav_bar 'space[1.5WC],back;home;recent,space[1.5WC]'
Doesn't that work? Why do you need an app?

Doesn't work on my P7P. Plus, the aforementioned fix has a bunch of features.

I don't think that works on recent android releases

There is no Dotted Buttons. Please Give me some solution
Please respond this I'll surely give you more reps :good:
I think that when you have a hardware menu key the app detects this and doesn't display the 3 dotted menu button (since there would be no need if you have a hardware one)
If you are rooted, may I suggest button savior: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=865525
It does work without root, but I'm not sure if the menu button is supported, you'd need to try and see

Not that I know of. If you are not rooted then there won't really be much you can do
If you are rooted take a look at LMT launcher: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330150
Both these apps won't add the 3 dotted menu in but act as a hovering app that will allow you to use a different method to function as the menu button.

[Q] menu button no Entry into settings

Hey, before the ota rolled out I used the phone for 2 minutes, and at that time w when I pushed the left/menu button the launcher settings popped up. But there was also the settings button. So I could enter settings (like WiFi. Users....) But after that update the button disappeared and changed with the designs button.
Is there any way to get the settings button back there?
Because the upper right corner is so far away for my thumb
Another question: can I get the "," on the keyboard instead of voice??
Thanks in advance !

Go into settings->buttons and there's options to set what the menu button will do. You can set the short press to menu and then long press to recent apps which was the default before the OTA.

I see what you mean. It's the same for me. Looks like they got rid of the settings options from that menu. I switched to nova launcher and didn't notice the changes to the stock one after the update. I can only suggest that you download a new launcher.

Possible to switch "recent" button to "menu" button

I'm referring to the physical button to the left of the home button. I hardly ever use the recent button, but definitely use the menu button. For example, if I want to access settings for Nova launcher, I now have to navigate to the setting vs just tapping "menu".
Set a gesture in Nova to launch Nova settings. That's the easiest way.

Nope. No option to add "menu" button in Nova either. Even more frustrating with Nova, the expand notifications feature doesn't seem to work with gestures. My favorite feature of Nova is the ability to swipe down from anywhere and get to notifications. No longer possible on s6.....yet.
I have no idea what you're referring to. Both definitely work lol. Look below swipe down for expand in options.
I also definitely have a swipe up gesture on the app drawer to launch Nova settings with just a swipe.

I enabled that feature. swiped down, nothing. Then I decided to try double tap from anywhere to access notification; also nothing. If it's working for you, then maybe I have a bad version. Maybe you can check your version? I'm on v 5.0.2
I'm running the beta version actually from the Google plus community. Maybe that's why. Give it a try.

OPO new user - how to?

Hi,
I've just bought a used OPO from a friend and have a couple of doubts in how to customize some functions..
How can I customize buttons to reverse long press home for recent apps and long press menu for google?
How can I remove phone from lock screen?
Can I remove google bar from recent apps?
Probably I'll have some more doubts later on, but I'd already be happy with these answers I couldn't find myself on Google.
Thanks.:good:

Search bar is disabled in home but not in recent apps.
This is what I mean by phone in lock screen.
Thanks.
in about phone, turn on advanced mode, the options should be available in buttons. you can customise your lockscreen in settings.
It worked!! Thank you so much! I was also able to remove recent apps search bar in display settings.
no problem
One more question if you don't mind.. Why can't I select same wallpaper image for home and lock screen? I can select and adjust home wallpaper position to where I want, but lock screen I only found option in themes but doesn't allow adjustment.
In my nexus and Samsungs I usually went to Gallery select image and clicked "Set as Wallpaper" - Home and Lock Screen", but in OPO this option is not available..
Thanks.

Customize on-screen button actions?

I often use "All in one gestures" app to customize button actions, but don't know whether it works or not on Mate 9.
Did anyone check it out by chance?
Also, do you know any other way to customize button actions?
I usually set home button long-press to turn the screen off, and back button long-press to popup menu (i.e. the three dots menu).
Thanks for any hint!
If Xposed for Nougat is working on the Mate 9 ( I haven't found out if it does for sure yet) the you can use Gravity Box module to do all sorts for 2nd and even 3rd functions. I always liked having hold back for sleep/screen off and hold recents for screenshot personally.

Xposed is working right now although GB need to be released for Nougat. If you just need their simple feature, flash Kangvip and you will have all thing as you said above.

Oh nice. Thanks. How did you install Xposed? Just flash the zip and install the app on a rooted device?
Ok got Xposed running. Kang breaks my system, I'm on C567B190 so not supported yet apparently. Good thing I had a backup to restore .
There is a Gravity box for Nougat available as an app install. I'm going to give it a try.
