As the title says, my SM-R895U hasn't updated to the new stable OneUI 4.5 as yet. I assume almost everyone has gotten it and I am still left behind. I have no e-sim enabled as my country currently doesn't support it. Is there anyway to force update the watch? I'm still on FVD4 from May 22.
And I realize alot of users are getting better battery then OneUI 4.0. Thanks.

dont worrie about it it will come eventually. and you are not missing much still same bugs same battery the only difference is couple of new watch faces which personally using shards or MD watch faces and dont need em

It is a second hand device and the previous user said it was a T-Mobile e-sim. But he resetted the device and I resetted it once. Shows no signs of a T-Mobile e-sim.

I have the Galaxy S7, 930F international version (Brand new). All works well, except the Messages app splits received group messages into individual threads. I have tried other texting apps and, for one reason or another, concluded that (for me) the stock Messages app would be best for me, if only this one flaw was corrected. Read a lot of threads similar to this but many seemed to address it for USA version. I'd like to maybe update the app, but can't seem to find a way to manually update this particular app (I can manually update nearly all of my stock apps, but this one is not allowed). Anyone have (what seems like) an easy fix. Again, my phone is the 930F international. Country info on the phone references United Arab Emeriates, if that helps. Otherwise, the phone is great!

Thank you. Yes, that's what I've been using, in lieu of the stock app. In fact, I have tried a multitude of replacement apps (you name it, I've tried it). But for one reason or another, they all fall short in something. Textra is not very good on voice-to-text and if I have to send a text while driving, or a long text while golfing, it's something I can't easily do with Textra. But the stock app is excellent on voice-to-text. Also, the stock app uses fewer clicks to locate and attach pics & video. In fact, for my liking, the only thing the stock app misses on is the threading for received group messages. But that's a biggie. Nothing worse than watching a football or basketball game remotely and texting a group of friends, and while you can send out your text in a group text, everyone's replies keeps showing up in a separate individual threads. Their replies (intended for the group) are then mixed in with private text conversations you've previously had with that same person. Ughhh!

Not sure what you mean. By "last release of Samsung" do u mean the latest version of the stock app? I tried to update it and the phone would not recognize that app as being able to manually update. If you mean update to marshmallow, I already have version version 6.0.1

Go into messaging app, hit more (top right corner) then settings, then more settings, them multimedia messages and make sure group conversation is ticked on and I also have auto retrieved ticked on, all other features are turned off. That's what fixed it for me, mine was the same way as yours before I changed those settings, it was very annoying! All is well now!

TestFlight email just arrived. Better app than the previous one, leaked months ago, but still has lots of limitations. But it's a good first step

I had the previous beta and firmware for pairing my Gear S2 and iPhone. It worked great. I signed up for Beta.. couldn't connect to my gear for some reason.. The app suggests updating the gear software via wifi on the gear. I did that and then reset to factory settings. Now my iPhone doesn't see the gear at all in bluetooth settings and I can't pair. Phone defaulted to french language when I reset to factory settings. I think that has to do with the leaked firmware provided in the tutorial for downgrading to get the gear to work with the previous beta..

I reverted to AOJ3. I don't know what the firmware version was after updating the watch initially earlier today. I decided to downgrade and reverted back to the previously leaked iOS Gear Manager app and firmware. Now I can see my gear and connect to my phone, but the gear app can't find it even though it's connected to the phone. It was working fine before. Tried factory resetting, but that didn't help. On top of that, now it won't update.. it says I have the latest updates, but that isn't true. I had more default apps.. Disappointing..

Are there paid apps visible in the store?
Failed after first sync and first update
I received the mails fast (1/2 day after signing on to the korean side) and first remove the leaked version from the iphone 6s plus.
Then I installed Testflight and inside Testfligh the Beta version.
Gear S2 I did a Firmware reset ( I was on the latest Firmware), on the iphone I unpaired the old Bluetooth connection of the Gear and started both the Beta and the Gear. A fist pairing happened, the iphone installed an update, and after this it tried to reconnect to the phone. And that is where I stay no. The iphone does not show the gear in Bluetooth any more, the beta does not connect to the gear any more :crying:
So I took a Samsung Phone, installed the gearmanager to update the phone. No it comes realy wired. Gear and Samsung Phone see each other on Bluetooth, pairing, but when the gear manager wants to connect to the gear, this fails on the Samsung phone.
So I assume, the Beta installed something on the gear, that failed to work.
Any ideas? The only way I can think of now is to connect over Wifi with Odin and to downgrade to an older version of the gear software :crying:

Update: Downgrade worked, watch is up and running again.
My mistake: On the korean webside I selected propably the wrong software and tried to sync my clasic with the fit - drivers

Based on quick research it seems it is Hiya app integrated in the Dialer. Phones that ha e this feature havd a tab on the Dialer called "Places".
My phone lacks this feature and had no option to turn it on.
Anyone else have any experience with this and maybe found a way to enable this?
To the senior members and developers:
Anyways to add this via an apk or will I have to flash a new ROM? I do not want to lose my Samsung Pay.
I have added Hiya and it works but the lack of integration really irritates me.

In my case i have also no 3rd tab in my dailer
but Hiya works fine.!
I also know that Hiya must support your
country data base etc , to work.
I don't have extra, Hiya app installed as
3rd party app.

If not it seems like your.... Rom /carrier
(might) have blocked it, for some reason?
I'm on Verizon, and they sell a caller-id app for a monthly fee, so I don't even need to check to see if the free, built-in Samsung feature has been disabled.

Hiya ,does not officially support your country database ,
which you claim Hiya does ?
I would check with Hiya website /email them ?
Maybe ask them why ?
If you got a carrier branded Rom ,then your carrier choose not to included it in their branded supported Rom .
I would then query them ,why services is not available or included in Rom
If you choose this option ,
make sure you query someone (in carrier service that should know reason )
and not some ignorant person ,just guessing why not .!
Remember /bear in mind,
that flashing another Rom, does not always guarantee , to fix issue . !!!

I've got a TMO S8+ and hadn't enabled it yet. Looks like it has to be set up and may be carrier specific.
Oh and Funk, you should try Arepa Mia, my fiancee and I go there all the time. It's amazing.

smart call integration
I have a question about smart call integration.
Not sure how to activate this but I can tell you for sure it is blocked by the carrier for conflict of interests. Since they do have a paid service for this. This feature has been available since Marshmallow. It started back when I had my s6.

Places activation seems to be determined by CSC (similar to Samsung Pay) . I imported a 955FD and it didn't come with Places activated because it was running the TPA CSC firmware. After I odin flashed a XSA CSC firmware, Places shows up and functions (but everything is in meters).

( i am on another theme at moment )

This tread doesn't seem to be active much, but I am planning to flash my phone to T-Mobile and wanted to ask T-Mobile USA users if they have "Identify Spam Numbers" or similar option. This option should be in phone app, then ..., then settings and there should be a toggle for it.
I remember the AT&T version having it. But I switched to the Exynos version so now I'm missing that feature.

Recently I bought Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. BUT there is no way that I can record calls. I'm from Bulgaria and it is some kind of regulation crap. I mean when I go to the options in the dialer app the option for call recordings is not present at all.
Most of my calls are for work with tons of instructions about this and that and I take them either from the car or somewhere without access to notes and pens etc. On my previous phone I found an app that enebled native call recording without rooting somehow... It was P30 Pro and the app in question I found here in XDA. However for my new phone I can't find anything... I tried all of the free and paid Google Play apps but they record only me and nothing from the person I'm talking with... Help me please!!!
Somewhere I read that I need to change the CSC code. Whatever it means... No idea how tho... Other thing I read was to root the phone. I've never done that as well... Basically I'm thinking of going to some randome phone repair shop and ask them to find me a solution whatever it takes... But first I decided to ask here.
If you have any idea what to do please include some instructions for dumb people like me with no experience in fiddling with phones etc..

First of, do you know your phone model and CSC code? You should be able to spot it in Settings ->About phone -> Software information under Build number and Service provider software information.
Samsung only activates native call recording on the India firmware, so you will probably have to download that version of the firmware.
Do you still have said old phone (P30 Pro) & the download for the app on it?
Just asking cause you could send the app to your S22 from the other phone...

Yes I still have the app. I tried to install it but it returns some error. I'll attach a screenshot here.
In my previous phone Xiaomi Mi11 Ultra, TruePhone app work perfectly with call record's, but now with Samsung S22 Ultra and Android 12 don't work.
For me also call record's is very important, but i don't have the time and experience to change regions with Sammobile to make the call records work.
I am also from Bulgaria and have tried most of the available recording offers.

Non Root :
Change CSC. You needs paid tool, search SamKey and you will find lots result on XDA. This option is OK if you don't want to root but here your CSC will needs to change and network optimization won't be same as your own CSC
Root :
Modify CSC and enable call record, bit difficult if you are not pro witn modding
Use a ROM with Auto call record option (check development section)

Thanks for the suggestion! Maybe will try to do that... But can you give me some more info about what it means that network optimization won't be the same as my own CSC? Does that mean that I'm gonna lose connection here and there or some kind of fees?
Also how this change of the CSC code is going to affect my warranty?
csc change will void your warranty, and yes it is possible that your call, internet connection over mobile data may not be as good as it was/is on your current csc, but not a guarantee, you should check to find out if your prepared to sacrifice warranty for call recording, you could always reflash your original firmware

Well... The essentials of my work is talking on the phone and usually that includes tasks that I need to do with all of the details about them. We are working on communicating through e-mail but we are not there yet. The warranty is not that big of a concern but potential problems with the reception etc ... now that scares me...

I've tried the app. Sadly with no luck... I copied all the settings from your screenshots with the exception of enabling auto recordings. However the app doesn't create files... I'll upload screenshots of my sad empty folder... Do you know if I did something wrong? I have enabled all the permissions...

Thank you very much for the trouble with the video!!! However no luck with me... I reinstalled the app to be sure that I follow your exact steps. I made some screenshots proving that I have the accessibility permissions enabled correctly ... But still my recordings folder stays empty...

oh wow, really strange, sorry then, idk what to say, it worked for me as you seen, you could try flashing the latest eux firmware its a european unlocked, and im in the uk im also unrooted
I am on an older version of watch os because of my region. Unfortunately this update broke the AOD display so the time won't update until I open the watch. I read that a workaround for this is to enable "Allow Background Activity" for facer in App settings. Unfortunately the option is greyed out for me and I don't know why.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Any idea why "Allow Background Activity" toggle is greyed out? And how is Samsung okay with rolling out updates this slowly for its users?
