Spam Call Block - OnePlus 7 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi, I just wanted to know if there is an option to block spam calls.
On Samsung there is this very practical function to inform you of spams and to block them automatically.
Thank you

But can we use third party app to stop spam calls?

If you use Iphone. You can use third party app like Hiya

Best SMS Blocker

Until recently I was using GOsms but it was just a bit too slow and bloated, however I did like the SMS filter they built into the latest version.
I get loads of texts from people offering me loans and asking about claiming for accidents I've never had and the new filter would let you block by number or by the message content, so I could type in common words from the sms and they'd be blocked.
Does anyone know of an sms blocker that does this but is stand alone and preferably free?

Search WhosCall, Mr Number , Call Blocker
I have the same problem when using the GoSMS.
There are many apps that provide a faster way to block the sms and call.
Such as WhosCall, Call Blocker, Mr. Number and so on.
But in my use experience, I found that the some apps would make my dial and sms function slow especially when I install all of them at once.
I usually use WhosCall now, it provide a good experience and high speed of search.
Hope it could help you.

Prevent deletion of SMS messages.

Greetings,
I am looking for a way to prevent any SMS messages from being deleted on my Daughters phone. I don't want spy software. This is a condition of my returning her phone to her after abusing the trust my wife and I put in her. Does such a thing/method exits? Thanks!
The phone is an HTC EVO Design on ICS. Thanks!
No ideas huh?
Ok, will keep waiting then.
Don't know if it will work..but try adding encryption in settings..it will be a enable encryption option for any app...
If not use a third party app like free sms sender and app hider ..and hide that app and make sure no notifications are enabled...
Anyway,I think you should just give freedom to your daughter and trust that she'll make the right decision and pray for her
I wish!!

Pray yeah but just because we do that doesn't mean we're not going to get ready for the flood....
You can go to the messages app then Settings>General>Forward to email address and enter your email address. You could then setup a filter in your email to direct them to a specific folder so you have a copy of them. There are also apps out there that enable you to sync sms/mms to your computer automatically. All of these things she would be able to disable. I don't know the situation that broke the trust, but I hope you all can work out a way to restore it and make all of this a moot point.
You can just add the app "handcent sms" which is really controlable , you can check sms with computer apps (looks on dev threads) , even deleted sms angel

Native feature to block calls/text on kitKat

does the Nexus 5 have a native feature to block calls and text w/o having to buy a 3rd party app just like iphone iOS7 now has such feature to block unwanted calls or text. The brief moment that I had my Nexus 5, I spent a lot of time searching for the native feature and I didn't find it, had to download a 3rd party app instead.
No it doesn't.
Download Mr Number.
Free and integrates as far or as little as you prefer.
Thank you guys, I just wanted to confirm if the stock kitKat had a native blocking feature. I assume any 3rd party app always has to be running, contributing to more battery draining.
Yes it does, theres an option to send any contact direct to voicemail. On all my android phones I've never needed a 3rd party app, I just have a single contact i call "SPAM" and add any number to it I want to block. Works perfect. (can't block text however).
Also, how do you do that in iOS7, I never found that option, my wife would love to know...
I have been testing a lot of blocking apps on KitKat ans there is no one compatible...
Hangouts still receive notification ...

^ This. It's the best way I have found to block callers in stock Android, though it's disappointing that you can't simply tap/hold on a call in history and mark it as "blocked" like you can with most Android skins.

No app required!
Open the app "PEOPLE", Click on the contact you wish to block, open menu, select "All calls to voicemail"
And what about text messages ?

I notice this thread mentions blocking calls...
What is not to understand about the question? People want to block calls. Not dump them to voicemail. Cyanogenmod has (had?) a blacklist. This allowed one to either add numbers or even wild card numbers in addition to holding the hang up button when disconnecting the call. Subsequently, when one of the added parties tried to call, they were meet with one ring, after which the call appeared to be disconnected or broken in some way. Why is it so difficult for T-Mobile, Google, LG, HTC, Verizon, etc, to implement this as a standard feature?
If you don't have root you can silence the ringtone at the start of the call. Try http://cond.im

CM 12S Blacklist problem

Hey guys, blacklist doesn't block some alphanumeric sms senders. I can't manually enter because only numeric keyboard opens. I searched all over the internet i couldn't find a solution, does anyone know a fix ?
Can you give an example
I believe is normal because in most of the cases you want to block real persons and not sms gateways. Perhaps a third party app may give you what you want.

I use RootCallBlocker, it lets me quick add people if they call or go through my recent call logs and pick people to block. As the name suggests you need to root your phone to use it.
