My note 10 is rebooting whenever I insert the sim card. I only see the Samsung logo and then the Note 10 logo and it keeps rebooting. When I remove the sim card, it is back to normal. What could be the problem here? It was working fine and a few days ago this issue started to pop up. I tried to reset the phone, but the same issue persist.
Does anyone ever have this issue?

Problem is the following: So far this has not happened but today it happened 4-5 times already, the phone just freeze and not respond to commands, the screen turns black as when it goes off, but do not goes off, after 10-15sec being turned on and the icons appear, but 2-3 times disappear. This happened mainly when the phone is idle and when I try to unlock it, and once when I used it. When this occurs the signal indicator disappear and show a crossed circle, and what interested me most and I can not reveal what, I get a white triangle on the top left corner with an ! mark. What would that character is supposed to, since it disappears when the phone is stabilized.
That white triangle appears when there is no SIM card inserted into the handset.
It seems you have a faulty SIM card or faulty SIM card slot. The freezing up of the handset could be because of the same as the white triangle appears when the handset freezes. Here's what you can do:
- Try to use the handset without the SIM card for a hour or so & check if it freezes again, if it doesn't then the it's a SIM related problem.
- Use a different SIM card & check how it goes.
Hope this helps.

My new Z3 has randomly restarted twice today when sitting by itself on a desk. Any thoughts as to what's going on?
i experience once while i was sleeping in the middle of the nite. it suddenly restarted which cause me to wake up.
same here it happened while it was sitting on the desk, after the restart it did updates for apps from the google play store
Same here, soft reboot today when Phone was not in use. No need to enter pin.
The first night with SIM card inn it, it restarted a bunch of times. The two previous days I did not notice any restart but cannot say for sure that is did not. It has restarted only at night. Last night it did not restart, but it restarted this morning. I have not found any logging feature or app that could point to the reason for the reboots. Annoying!
random reboot
I still get this random reboot problem every now and then, phone was on stamina mode whole day today and restarted twice randomly. Have you guys found a soln on that?
I have literally the same issue. Have you guys found a solution or a culprit yet?
I think that I've just found the solution. I had the same problem for a while, at the beginning I had some reboots once or twice a day, but the other day I had 15-20 reboots in the same day, I did a factory reset but the problem was still there. Using the phone I noticed that I was in TeslaUnread settings when the phone rebooted, I tried againg and it rebooted always when that app was opened. So, I uninstalled it and I had no reboots for days. Today, I reinstalled it and after 5 minutes the phone rebooted. Now I'm pretty sure that the problem was that app. Tell me if you notice the same thing
Try to uninstall the apps who are not update for long time( such 4-5 month or more ) and see the result. For me works, after I uninstall one app ( I having 2-3 rebooting by day ) who are updated last time in 2013 my phone not have anymore random rebooting ( passed one month ! ) . I am pretty sure you have installed an application that does not support Lollipop ( is not updated for lollipop ).
Sorry to bump an old thread, but this problem has been driving me nuts and I think I may have a solution. Specifically for my phone (a Z3c), it seems to be related to the SD card. I had a similar problem last year where the SD card would be corrupted and cause lags/data loss. I then bought a new SD card. Now, the phone has been randomly powering itself off and will not even charge when powered off. Then, at a random future time, the phone will be able to be charged/turned on as if nothing happened. This behavior has become increasingly more common
I've tried reformatting, deleting unnecessary programs, clearing caches, etc. The reformat seemed to help for a few days and then the problem returned. Last night I did some more troubleshooting and removed the SD card. It remained powered on for the whole night (for the first time all week). In the morning, I put the SD card back in and the phone wouldn't power on.
Right now I'm wondering if anyone else having the same problem with their Sony Z can cure it by removing their SD card? I'm going to next try to reformat the SD card and, if that doesn't work, buy a new (maybe slower) SD card. My current SD card is a 64gb class X which I've anecdotally heard can have timing issues with some SD controllers. I find it strange to have problems with two separate SD cards in my phone though. Either I'm very unlucky, SD cards aren't made for longevity, and/or the Sony Z has a controller that eventually kills or corrupts SD cards.
I still have reboots on the latest firmware, full stock, no mods and no shady things installed. It seems like this phone is not able to last more than 10 days without crashing and rebooting at least once. Today I thought the problem was solved as I didn't have any reboot for the last 9 days but as I was reading a page on chrome, I left the phone unattended for 5 minutes as I went to get some food and when I was back I was greeted with the boot animation. This is absolutely shameful, feeling the buyers remorse already. If course there is no way to tell why it happened.
if your phone is under warranty, get it fixed.
Huge waste of time if it's a software issue. Also I already had the phone serviced and factory reseted and I still have the reboots. Does anyone of you guys have these kind of reboots? You can see in diagnostics, system incidents.
The problem arose unexpectedly.
After several attempts to get a sim card and insert it back, the error disappears, but after a while it reappears.
I cleaned the sim card reader. Then I changed the sim card reader.
Updated to Android 9. The problem is not solved.
Put sim cards of other oprethors - nothing helps.
Empirically, I found out that the SIM card does not fall off if you turn off geolocation.
After turning on the geolocation, after some time the problem returns.
How to solve a problem?
I am having the same problem with LineageOS 14.1
Hey, is anyone else experiencing this problem? I believe it is a software problem as I just bought the POCO X3 NFC and the SIM was working fine, but when I rebooted the phone, it didn't detect any SIM card. It still detected the SD card though. After rebooting several times and taking the SIM tray in and out several times, the phone suddenly detected the SIM and everything worked fine. The next day I reinstalled MIUI 12, thinking that it may just be a bug as it seems it is a software problem, but upon rebooting the phone the same thing happened. I attempted rebooting and taking the SIM tray out multiple times, this time with no luck. I took out my SD card and put the SIM in that part of the tray and it now works more consistently, but still will not always detect the SIM after reboot and I must reboot and take the tray out until it works. Also I can't put the SD card in now. Any ideas?
What makes you think that it's a software related problem? I don't think there's much software behind simply detecting a sim card and you already said that changing to the second sim tray has helped a bit. I'd RMA that phone if I was you
Because it only happened when rebooting, once it detected it, there where no problems. If it was a hardware problem, it would probably have not detected aside from just rebooting right?
I'm facing ditto same problem bro can anyone gemme solution please
While playing a simple game my phone suddenly restarted, till it reached Samsung logo, and kept restarting over and over.
I tried to shut down the phone by long pressing power button, but it kept restarting.
Finally I figured out to take the SIM card off, and it could load!
After it loads, everytime I insert the SIM againg it suddenly restarts, and repeats the bootloop again.
I tried to insert a friend's SIM card, the phone loads, but once I insert the PIN code, it restarts again, and bootloops again!
I also tried the following with the SIM card removed:
I scanned the phone for viruses, it was clean;
Safe Mode: bootloops with SIM card initially inserted, and same issue happens once SIM card inserted after loading Safe Mode;
Recovery Mode: I did only Wipe Cache, but it did not solve. I am trying to avoid factory reset because I don't think it is going to solve after all that!
The phone has still 20+ GBs free space of internal memory.
Model: SM-G970F/DS Exynos.
Software: One UI 4.1, Android 12.
If the phone boots and works okay without SIM card, then I'd suggest doing that; and then, go looking for a way to undo whatever happen'd. For example, if the game you were playing is an app, clear it's data and uninstall it. If it was on a browser you install'd, do same & set up a new browser; etc. BTW is your battery good, was it low when the trouble started? See if your 7-day battery history covers the time when trouble started.

Mina392, could you fix the problem in the meantime?
Since yesterday I have exactly the same problem. I also proceeded like you, nothing helped.
Even a reset to factory settings has not helped...
If the phone is connected to a good power supply, it seems to work with a inserted SIM card . However, as soon as the phone is disconnected from the power supply, it immediately turns off, enters into the boot loop, does not start and gets very hot...
The battery is still fine, so I don't think thats the problem. The phone is now 2.5 years old.
Model: SM-G970F/DS Exynos.
Software: One UI 4.1, Android 12.
This can only be a software problem with the firmware...
Does anyone else have any ideas?
Update:
It's really crazy...
After the problem was present for more than 24 hours, it seems to work again, although I did nothing...
