2 problems with cruise

I have these 2 issues if anyone could help out that would be great
1. I'm having trouble with windows update whenever i try the update from the settings menu this error shows up "connection to update server was not available. check your data connections settings and ensure the device date and time are correct", however on my side everything is ok i think
--- any idea what to do?
2. I'm also having trouble connecting my phone to my laptop via bluetooth, i don't know how to solve this one either please help

i hear what you saying.. but i find it weird its not working anymore before i would update properly and just tell me no updates availalbe just recently about 1 day ago its starts giving me this problem havn't done anything different to the phone have not added any new programs .. very strange i find

Anybody with "working" Windows Update, PLEASE, publish the registry settings in your [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Autoupdate].

Have you paring your Cruise with your laptop via BT?? do that first, and you have/can surf with your phone so the connection settings are allright??. If you have this 2 done right all you do is open Internet Sharing->Bluetooth PAN-> connect and go to BTnetwork on your laptop klic connect and you are in the net. I use my Cruise as a modem and its works just perfect!! I use a BT Dongle, have no BT built in my laptop

However, I get reply "No updates available at this time" (which is true, AFAIK).

Thank you, Bodisson, for publishing your /autoupdate data. Unfortunately it is not enough to make "working" Windows Update.

As far as i know there aren't any update packages... so even if WU works it won't do anything...

I am from China and before getting my nexus 5 I owned a galaxy nexus, in which Google now works well just when phone is switched into En-US.
Now for nexus 5 this does not work.
someone uses a AT&T SIM card to enable google now.
some turns the phone into airplane model, turns off location and connects to VPN network to enable it.
Some says "Ok Google" then follow the instructions to enable it.
It seems that all these does not work for me, is there a easy way to enable Google now.

What worked for you? I had to uninstall Google search with titanium backup, install Google search 2.6, enable google now, then update to the latest version of search to have google now enabled in China. This is kind of annoying though as you can't flash otas if you do this because it modifies some system files. If you do my method you'll have to reflash the system image to update manually. So I'm wondering if you could share your method here.

How to make google Now work in China

For those who are still interested i am also in China ,and man it gave me a hard time but worked finally.
1-you need a proxy(Fqrouter or GAE)
2-install Market Unlocker
3-run Market Unlocker and select Enable Unlocker and Auto Unlock(You should already be connected to another market)
4-If you dont have Google Experience Launcher，then install it
5-Clear data of Google Search app and Play Store
6-Long press on the screen until the settings toggle of the laucher appears
7-Select settings
8-By now you should be able to activate Google Now.Done

[Q] Can't download bt notification.apk for u8 smartwatch

I recently purchased a u8 smartwatch. I have a iphone 5. The problem I'm having is that I can't download the bt notification.apk
In instructions, it states to go ://211.144.196.251
Username: 123456
Password: 123456
However, when I attempt to go to that address, I keep getting the message (don't have permission). I can't get to the page to download the bt notification.apk. Does anyone know where I can download it so I can use the watch? Or a solution? I would greatly appreciate it.

hey!
With my U8 smart watch, every time i try opening the messaging folder (on the U8) it says "unfinished".

Im in the same boat. Also some of my apps work with it and some don't. I also can't block any of the apps even when i press the block button.

I had the same problem and after a reset (small hole in bottom of watch with paperclip) paring went fine.

Uwatch download
In the original message, you forgot to say the ftp part when they said to go to, it is very important. After that, it will prompt for the user ID and password. THEN you have to click on the version of the watch you have and on the file with the extension .apk and allow the download. Then, one last step, to install it, use the File Manager app to locate it in the Download folder and click on that - this should allow you to start an installer. You may have to change the settings to allow installing from a source other than Google Play. My LG Android re-initialized and I had to re-install the notifier.

i have a Nexus 4 with stock Kitkat 4.4.4. I have installed the apk. All functions work except camera.
When I click the camera icon on the watch, my camera opens on the phone. But when I click the watch for a photo, though a shutter release sound is heard in the watch and the photo is displayed in the watch, my phone says, "Sorry, apk exception, will exit" and closes. The photo is nowhere found on the phone. The photo is not saved on the watch also.
After this the watch displays a message asking me to install the btnotifier in the phone. And subsequent to this, the music, camera and messages all display the same message. Before accessing the camera, all of them were working.
What am I doing wrong? Do I have to disable the options (phone audio and media audio) in bluetooth in the phone?
Anyone face this issue?

I have the same issue, with a Samsung S5, except it just randomly disconnects from Bluetooth and i get the error "Sorry, apk exception, will exit" i then need to reconnect for btnotifier to start again , kinda annoying and defeats the fact of having the watch in the 1st place,
Anybody have any ideas what might be causing the issue?

That btnotification is crap. I have switched over to Smartwatch by rwatch. It is available in Playstore. It is very smooth and has no issues.

So when it says pairing, all you have to do is press the first bottom button.

hi i had the same issue but after pressing buttons on phone and watch found that if you press the menu button on the watch after you have clicked OK on the phone when pairing number comes up it pairs. hope this helps.

for lollipop users
for those trying to use the watch with lollipop, i found this app and its the only one working until now
go to play store and search for smartwatchbt4.0

I had real trouble with getting this to work under Lollipop on a Nexus 4, tried several versions og BTNotification etc.
In the end I've used the version at bit.ly/1xs6yoKIts a Pro version , it installs Smartwatch, It now actually dials out, captures pictures to watch... and controls music.. It gives a choice of front and rear camera , but both options use the rear camaera. In my case Google Music needs to have been opened , before the music option operates. But it does better than any other version I've found. The annoying install BTNotification response has disappeared.
It dialed out , but I had to use the phone to end call. Still not perfect but it functions.

How about U9?

Hotspot on the s7 edge oreo (sprint)

Hey folks, since the oreo update I lost any hotspot or tethering in my s7 edge.
I was really frustrated about it. I went into research about the topic and I didn't find any solution for my issue. After watching a couple of videos on YouTube, the result was the same , but I got an idea and turned out working
Steps:
I download an app in playstore which is quickshort maker.
2 - once you got the app , click on it and write hotspot , you will get two options service mode and settings. Select settings
3- after selecting setting , it will give three options , select the second one, setting hotspot.
4- then you will get some options that doesn't really matter just click on try and the option of hotspot will launch.
Sorry for any inconvenience with my telling , this is the first time I'm writing something here or in any place. I hope it can work for you.

No sucess i have same problem with yours and tried your method .. when i click try its only shows blank screen.

Hello there , it seems to me that you chose the wrong option in the process.
It has to be the option option the one that only shows mobile hotspot.

I have tried to made a shortcut but nothing seems to work. So , you will have to make the process or you add that shortcut to your favorites inside the app.
It looks like sprint disabled the option from the setting in oreo. I guess they don't want us to tethering. Best of luck. I'm happy is working for you as well.

I tried this method and it didnt work for me on my 935a. I have tried a couple other options but no success. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes there is a way but you need you install another app follow these steps:
1 install Shortcut Creator from Google Play store
2 open the app and in shortcuts select application
3 search settings then click on it
4 check the smart shortcut if your on samsung touchwiz important if your on touchwiz
5 under app activity click on it and while scrolling down search for Hotspot
6 change the name to Hotspot
7 click the + button
And done if you followed the steps correctly Hotspot Should be on your home screen

Thanks but i dnt need this now because all carries now updated there bootloader's to V8 for Galaxy S7 so all options are back by default

error with browser

i have a new Samsung galaxy A7 2018 since 8 days and haven't had similar problem until today
i am able to open any application and use my 3G service , yet neither samsung browser or chrome are working th message given is "" This site can't be reached""
knowing i have contact the service provider and told me everything is working well from their side
Anyone had similar problem and solve it Kindly reply to me ASAP

Try to: Restart the phone, activate and deactivate airplane mode.
maybe it's a dns problem, try to download "1.1.1.1" from the playstore and install it, go through the process and you should be able to solve this problem.
