Hi,
I tried sending whatsapp message using the new GA on GW4. I keep on getting this error that contact doesn't exist. Anyone managed to resolve this ?
Allow contacts permission in: settings-apps-permissions-assistant
Now i am getting this error "I'm not seeing a whatsapp number for that contact"

I wanted to help a few people with a solution about the google 2-step verification but since I can't post in developers forums (I'm new around here) I tried to send a private message. The problem is that, after sending the message, when I go to "Private Messages/Sent Items" it is empty
Is that normal?

In your User Control Panel down the left-hand side, you will see 'Edit Options'. In there is an option to 'Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default'. You will need to select it and save to retain all your sent messages

on ICS contacts (or any other for that matter) then i press on a contact and then send text, a "complete action using:" window appears with 2 options.
1. messaging
2. whatsappp
if i hit "Whatsapp" it will open the contact with messaging with a pre typed message: "check out whatsapp for android..." and not open the contact in whats app.
iv'e been trying to find a solution for this and failed.

i think i know your problem.
please open whatsapp and look if you can find your contacts there.
Maybe they dont use whatsapp yet.

I got the same question too?
i found a solution.
just need to add the country code to the contact...
I'm having a couple problems with the email program. First of all the counter (in the folder selection box) that shows how many unread messages I have shows -1 (minus one) instead of 0 when I have no unread messages. It's no big deal but it's a bit annoying. The second problem is that when I get a new message notification and I go check my emails there are no new messages but one or two old messages will briefly appear in the message list for a few seconds then vanish. It gets annoying because it happens each time the program checks my MSN account for new messages. The fix so far is to go into my MSN account via Chrome and delete the offending messages.
Any ideas?

gonna need a bit more information before anyone can help.
first, Stock or rooted? IF rooted, what ROM? Stock e-mail, Gmail apk? AND what type of e-mail account are you trying to reach, web-based or exchange?

Not sure if it's related but counter problem started after installing NOVA launcher. Notification problem started a month after NOVA.
Hello everybody, this is my firs post. I am an happy z3 owner coming from iphone.
I have a question regarding the managing of the SMS notification on the pull down bar (where you have all the notifications).
While for the emails I can open the line with the number of new message I have, on the sms notification I just have "new messages: 2" but i cannot find any way to see who is sending me the message or I cannot see any preview of the message.
The only thing I can do is switch to the sms application in order to see the preview and the sender name.
Am I doing something wrong? can you guys help me?

Normally you just click on the "new messages: 2" line and it should take you to whichever app you use for that type of message (Hangouts, or whatever the stock one is called).
Thanx for the answer. The probkem is that i would like to see who is sending me the sms without opening the default application. This is more bad when i sm using acdisplay for the lock screen, because i have to unlock phone to see the sender.
I just switch to hangouts as a default sms client and the thing are better niw because i can see the sender name and a partial preview of the sms!

You could try Dashclock (free app, open source in fact), which supports a lot of plugins - there's a Hangouts extension there, and probably others which may show you more info, even from the lock screen.
Hey Guys, as we know that Whatsapp calling feature is live, though it's in invite only mode and new persons can only be invited by calling other people through Whatsapp.

WhatsApp calling is working fine for me now If you need WhatsApp call then first update your whatsapp to latest version (download from: whatsapp.com) and (hit the thanks button ) then message me on WhatsApp (Just write: XDA Nexus 5 WhatsApp) and I will call you on WhatsApp, pick up the call and your feature will be activated.
My Number is: //Invite not working now. Will update my number once the invite system starts again

How you enabled it? Maybe the contact on your list needs to have it enabled too..
Hi,
I tested it on two smartphones and unfortunately it doesn't work.
On both the call feature was enabled but no contact showing to call
Maybe someone who has it "originally" enabled and can send invites should send others here invites to test the new feature (if someone has an invite for me -> a pn would be greatly appreciated)
I also tried over two device but didn't work
It needs invite.. Please pm if anyone have invite..

the command is working fine for most of the users.. don't have any other solution yet and this is also true that the command will only enable GUI of this feature.
