Hello, I have a problem with my zflip. It heats up a lot on the external display, after which with any app (be it camera, or Instagram or other) it freezes, then it remains stuck on the screen for 10/15 seconds and then restarts by itself and I have to put the PIN back. Consider that I have already sent him for assistance and they have already replaced him, he had another problem. Now I'm trying to remove the apps one by one and use the phone to see if the problem is created by an app, but besides that I don't know what to do anymore .. obviously I tried to restore and I'm on Android 12 .. a delusion

I seem to have really strange issues with this phone.
I've tried both C-Rom and Cyanogen and both of them have these same issues.
When I first turn on the phone, it will run, but everything will stutter around at about 1-2 fps for about 2 minutes. I can confirm that this happens even with no 3rd party apps installed.
Secondly, half the time when I go to grab the phone and just check notifications and so on, I'll unlock it and try to press something and it'll be frozen. I have to wait about 2 minutes before I can do anything else on it. The only thing I can do in this time is lock the screen, but not unlock it. I can tell it frozen at a low level because I have a system setting in C-Rom to play a sound when the battery dis/reconnected and that doesn't play while it's in this state. Has anyone else been experiencing this? I've already completely wiped the phone completely once using the return to stock guide and these issues have not been resolved.
Had the same problem with stock ROM or tried with GPE? Might be a hardware problem...

Are you still having these issues or did you find a fix for them? I have the Boost Mobile one, but are you suggesting that I could/should put the GPE ROM on here?
Isn't this a memory usage ( ram ) problem that's been mentioned?

The first part (FPS issue) happens to me, whe the phone boots, the FPS go down, bad, but the phone works ok, if i put the stopwatch app (CM11) time runs normally but the screen refreshes every half second or more.
Now, the second problem, about the phone freezing whan it wakes up, never happened to me, but i have to recognize that i had a few (2 or 3) reboots just when i waked up the phone and one time it just freezed with the screen off.
Hello,
I have a new AT&T H900 not rooted for past 5 months. It was working fine until the MM forced update. It started to shut down (apps stopped responding) some of my apps. I read that I needed to reboot fresh, so I did. Even directly after reboot, apps still kept shutting down (stock apps like Google, messaging, just to name a few) at different times, even before adding my old apps. I decided to reboot a 2nd time with the addition of clearing the cache every time ( I read somewhere that this should help). It seems that the apps seem stable, but now my device keeps rebooting at a moments notice (specifically when it is computing multi tasks). It has become very unstable. How can I fix this? Should I try a 3rd reboot? Thanks.

This is very odd. Usally apps closing like that mems theirs a compatibility issue. For now lets focus on your rebooting.
Try leaving your phone with the battery pulles for atleast 10 minutes. If that doeant solve your problem, see if it randomly reboots when you have it charging. My G3 did that if i ran more than one thig with it off the charger. And my case was a bad battery. So it may be your problem aswell
Hi. My device worked just perfect until 5 days ago. It slowly began to ignore some tasks like opening apps or doing calls.
2 days ago my google pixel with Android 8.0 started to ignore every input i made, like opening apps or trying to reboot. It behaving like this after taking some pictures with the rear cam. After some attepts in opening apps it started to reboot. But instead of a normal reboot it stuck in a booting screen (the one with the Google G and a gray animation bar underneath). It took a while and i waited until it seemed that the OS booted correctly. But after this my device started to reboot randomly after a few minutes. After a while i figured out, that i can hold the power button while the screen with the google G was up to reboot it normally. This worked so that the phone was at least half an hour or more working until it rebooted again out of nowhere.
So far i tried to get it in safe mode and delete some apps like whatts app etc. In safe mode i didnt notice any crashes so far.... but in normal one it does a lot so deleting apps wasnt helpful. Turning on flight mode was not helpful either.
What can I do? What could it be?

Same thing happens with my Pixel, sometimes the phone is just get stuck on some random screen then I have to press and hold it for 15 seconds to let it reboot again. Lately I have started to see another problem, when it reboots bunch of google apps and services stops working and gives hell lot of notifications. All this started to happen after Android Oreo update

I noticed problems with my ear speaker as well. And i cant make phone calls. The phone doent respond anymore when i try to.
Same problem after android 8.0 update
If you have installed the latest Google phone/dialer app, that is likely the problem, was for me.
Find the app in settings and uninstall,it will roll back to a previous version and hopefully fix your issues.

My pixel does the same thing, ever since I updated to 8.0, have you tried doing a factory reset? I haven't done it yet, I have been uninstalling apps for the last couple of days, when it is in safe mode it works good, but when it's not, it freezes and restarts. I'm going to try uninstalling the latest version on google dialer to see if it helps.
I just want to update everyone in case you are having a problem with the random reboots.
I uninstalled the phone update and it was still randomly rebooting so I backed up the stuff that I needed and just did a factory reset. I have been a full day on my phone without any problems. I did a factory reset twice, just in case, for some crazy reason, the phone still had a problem, I wiped it twice! I think you'll be good with only wiping once.
Anyways to sum it all up, I did a factory reset, restored all of my backed up data from my pixel, I had about 120 apps and the phone has not had a problem since. I hope it helps someone else.

Mate, please report if you're still getting the reboots. Mine disappear for two weeks after I do a factory reset and then come back. Same happens in Safe Mode. Bug report claims it's 'Sense Key : Hardware Error [current]' and Google rep says it's a hardware issue (Toshiba's memory or something). Buganiser thread is here.
wrong place sry
Had this on my pixel xl. I was on the 8.1 beta.
factory reset, rolled back to 8.0
8.1 ota official
haven't had a reboot in over a week now

Yea, the issue is back, has been for about 2 weeks. This phone is really starting to be a pain in the ass, I can't believe that it happens so often. Did you do a warranty fix?
That's a pity. Yes, I did. Got the device roughly two and a half weeks ago. Flashed 8.0 and then sideloaded 8.1 right away. Knock on wood, all good. But there's still a report every other day in Buganiser of a phone even on 8.1 doing this.
Got mine at release. November 16. Google won't replace it either. I have a one pixel brick
I have the same problem. However, it is not frequent enough on Android P beta. But as soon as I go back to the stable build, it starts to do the same thing. Did you guys have any luck resolving this or should I send it back to the vendor I bought it from. They won't replace the device in Pakistan but may be will fix it in some manner.
Hi,
I experienced for the second time some strange incident on my OP Nord (eu). When I looked on my phone it had this OP Bootupscreen with the one red and two white moving Dots but it didnt start up. The dots where moving for about 15 minutes. I had to press Vol up + on/off button to shut down the Phone and then Start it again to get it up and running again.
The first Time I was in the Car listening to some music. The Phone was via BT to the Car Radio connected and played Music with the app Musicolet. After a short stop at a store it didnt connect again with the radio. I had a look on the Nord and saw this issue the first time.
The second time, I used it with some messaging apps, placed it on my desk, wanted to use it around 10 minutes later again and had this Bootup Failure a second time.
Had anybody of you some simlar Problem? Or maybe an Idea what could be wrong?
The Nord is not rooted or manipulated in any other way. Just standard Phone with the Latest OP Updates installed.
Kind Regards
Yes I had the same problem. I had to use Vol up + on/off button aswell, but it worked again after that. I just had it in my pocket and didnt do anything and when I put it out of my pocket I had the bootlogo as well. Strangely I had this also the second time as you said.
Random reboot force restart
Same to me 12gb version about 5th time now this has happened.. As other members say. You only notice it if your looking for at the screen. Had to do same it booted up into safe mode 1st. Have have seen on the Oneplus forums that some phone auto goto factory reset lucky that hasn't done that for me. However it does make you choose your default Internet search engine each time and my Google one account resets again... Anyone any idea of the cause any Dev / programmer's on here know the cause yet. As you all say its random done it to me while in pocket car and work desk.. Bloody annoying
Yes! Same problem here.
Strange auto reboot and gets stuck after connecting bluetooth sometimes, or while just simply decreasing volume . Screen goes unresponsive many times while using Google chrome and handling media on whatsapp. Mobile data and wifi would take 10-20 secs to turn on sometimes, don't know why!
DAMN! THIS PHONE HAS A TON OF BUGS THAT INTERFERE WITH DAY-TO-DAY TASKS!
Happened to me once too
Happened to me too a couple of times on EU firmware.
On the forum it's been madness with this , they issued a statement that they are full on it . But there were some users suggesting that it was caused by the forgot password option , and if pattern was used there was no problem. This though , was not confirmed. I have the phone about a week , i've been using pattern since my first android . Nothing has happened to me . Did anyone of you use pattern ? Or everyone had a password/ PIN ? If so , try using pattern lock to see if it happens again...maybe it could be a chance to pinpoint the root of it and save other users...
It happened 2 times when I used face unlock. I stopped using a locking method and no random reboots since, but there was also updates recently so dunno...
Happened twice

If you have a "new" terminal, presumably checked by the service centre before shipping, it sounds like a software issue.
Heating up is due to chip or sensor activity, and freezing could be a RAM issue - this phone doesn't have an enormous amount of RAM, but more than sufficient to avoid reboot. Maybe the phone is getting so hot it reboots as a precaution.
It sounds like an app is always active/it's keeping a sensor active, so you could make sure the preinstalled apps are optimised for the battery in the settings. Also check battery usage by app, that should point to the usual suspects and you could start there.
I don't use stuff like Facebook & Instagram, so I simply uninstall or disable them from the apps menu. Social & media apps are notorious for battery drain, and within the app there are settings which may be causing that heating up/freezing.
If I were you, I'd back up your important data and do a factory reset, then run it a couple of days with the minimal setup, no additional apps.
Then every 3 days, install groups of them (depending on how many you have, say 5). Then if you get the symptoms again, you'll know it's due to one of that group.
Depends if you wanta quick fix, or to really know which one is responsible
