Question Appfour apps - Samsung Galaxy Watch 4

CAUTION: Don’t purchase the appfour Flat Rate bundle. Only Photos and Launcher work. You can get standalone, both together is $7.60. I paid much more! I have a Samsung4 smartwatch. I paid for the bundle $11.99 as it included a couple apps I want - Photos, Document and Launcher. These alone can be purchased as standalone separatly and total less than bundle. Of course I purchased the bundle to get even more apps for the same price. However, when I clicked Photos on the watch I was directed to pay more to unlock the app, same with Documents and Launcher. The rest of the apps either do not function/unable to setup on the watch or load onto the watch. I already paid for these apps as they are in the bundle. But I preceded anyway thinking the system would see that I already have the apps purchased. It did not. I ended up paying $23.23 and only 2 apps work - Photos and Launcher, Documents dosent connect eventhough I set up on the phone. I paid twice for 3 apps and wasted $10.00 for nothing. I tried to get a refund through Google Play but denied and told to contact the developer. Appsfour hasn’t responded.

Amazon AppStore cheaper than Android Market?

Has anyone else noticed that the Amazon AppStore seems to be cheaper than the Android (Google) Market? Apart from offering a free paid app every day, some apps seem to be less expensive. Another advantage that I noticed is that it's all in US$ and not converted from € or £; this is great because then I don't have to pay foreign transaction fees!
Only disadvantage is that you have to keep an eye on two different market places...
Shame it's not available in the UK - We can view but can't even get the free app of the day - says theservice is not available in your country...

I know that the MarketEnabler app works for the standard android market (for root devices), but does it also work for Amazon's store? or does it pull country ID a different way?
On the Amazon AppStore, Amazon gets to adjust an app's price around. App developers are guaranteed a minimum amount of money (so when one of the apps are free for a day, Amazon is literally just paying the developer for each download!) for paid apps, but Amazon reserves more control.
Personally, I like the AppStore FAR more than the Android Market... I've never once had an issue with stuff from the AppStore totally ignoring you when you tell it to install/update something (unlike what the Market does for me somewhere from 50-90% of the time).

My Transformer is not rooted - I don't intend to root it... not for some time - it's new so I'm "bedding it in" - see if any problems popup..
Just a shame that a company as large as amazon has not expanded the Android market into all regions yet.. and yet Kindle it appears has taken over the world. LOL
My problem with Amazon:
1. Can't turn off one-click purchase. I have purchased apps accidentally.
2. The only way to "diasble" one-click is to de-authorize the device on Amazon's website
3. Once you de-authorize a device or if you uninstall the Amazon App Store app, you can no longer use the app.
Basically, if you buy an app and then decide down the road that you don't like the amazon appstore (for whatever reason). You pretty much can't uninstall it unless you don't want access to the apps you purchased anymore. I don't think the andorid marketplace functions this way.
I am unsure if the apps even function if you don't have a wireless connection. Maybe someone can clarify this.
Also, if there is a way around this, I'd like to hear it.
As is stands now, I have about 6 paid Amazon apps and have now decided that I don't want to use the amazon appstore due to their no-refunds/can't-turn-off-one-click policy(s). So what do I do now? I am forced to leave the amazon appstore app on my device.

I understand what you are saying but it is exactly the same with Google Market; it's just not that obvious! Your device is linked to your google account and your market account is basically identical with (or part of) your google account. So if you decide you don't want to go with google anymore (which is impossible btw) you would lose all your apps as well. Does that make sense?
Ignore me, I obviously didn't read the first post.....
Hmmm. I was just shocked to see that some apps are also more expensive at amazon... Guess at the end of the day it will be very similar after all.

Saving an APK for a purchased app that no longer exists on Google Play

I'm not sure if this is against the rules, I took a look but couldn't find anything pertaining to this.
My roommate and I play Dungeons n Dragons and we found an awesome application on Google Play a while back called Fifth Edition Character Sheet. I never did end up paying for it, and by the time I tried to it had been removed from Google Play. I can't find the reason why, only that it's now gone. My roommate did pay for it. The method of purchase was via in-app payment. It opened up the Google Play thing, allowed him to pay, and that was it. Unlocked full features. However he's selling his tablet and wants to transfer the app to his Phone instead. I can't find a way to do this. Anytime I've used a Save APK option it just saves the base version without the tag saying he paid for it with all features unlocked. It's brutally annoying because, well, he paid for the app. He can't install it through Google PLay anymore on his phone and will unlock automatically, it's just non-existent. I've found the APK online a few times but there were no premium/paid ones.
So my question is this. Is there anyway to save the APK while retaining the fact that it was paid for so he can use it on his phone? Otherwise we'd have to go back to using other things which suck immeasurably compared to this awesome app.

Punished for being rooted?

I had an Interesting conversation with a Google Play representative yesterday. After I Did a Twrp Restore I went on Google play store to reinstall the one app that was not backed up INFINITE FLIGHT SIMULATOR and it showed $4.99 instead of paid? So I emailed the developer about it and they replied Hello thank you for contacting us.
All of the app stores selling Infinite Flight and the associated In App Purchasess allow for re-installation without
double charge.
As long as you use the very same App Store account and ID as the original purchase, you have not been refunded,
you have not used any IAP hacks like Freedom or similar, you do not need to worry about being double charged.
iTunes might indicate that they are going to charge you. However if all of the above applies to your account
purchases, proceeding through their process will follow with another iTunes message confirming that you already
own the item and can download it again for free.
If a prior IAP vanishes from your app inventory, the same policy will apply. You can't be charged again. Don't
worry.
If you find that there is still a problem, please contact your app store for further assistance.
Kind regards I replied after google said contact dev about it Well Google play store is where it was purchased and it is not showing as
paid receipt is attached! Order from: Flying Development Studio LLC.
Buyer's email address:[email protected]
Google Order number: GPA.1372-3817-5722-03151
Order date: Apr 24, 2016
ITEMS:
Quantity: 1 Infinite Flight Simulator Cost: $4.99
Total order amount: $4.99 they replied You may want to contact the Play store? This kind of thing is their responsibility to resolve. I have no access to
your Play store account or what they show as paid or not. They aren't supposed to be able to charge anybody for anything they already purchased. The only way they
can charge is if the store account ID is different from the original purchase or it was refunded.
Just be sure to use the same account ID, and download to install on the device internal memory.
No reason that won't work. So I used the request callback from Google they called back in 20 seconds. After I explained the first thing he asked me was ARE YOU ROOTED? I said yes! why? he said cause that developer will do that if your device is rooted! He did REFUND ME right away but I was perplexed to say the least So BUYER BEWARE

Paid twice for mxplayer pro

Hello,
On the 4th of may 2017 I have already purchased Mx player pro, but now when I visit the Mx player pro page in the app store the price is listed again! I tapped on it in the hope that it would install normally but instead I'm charged 26 PLN (around $5.50). In other words I paid twice!
In my purchase order on google play list it shows "canceled", but the money is still deducted from my bank account. Top top it off if I click on 26.00PLN/Install in Google play it says "error you already own this item" even though it's not installed on any of my devices.
Tl;Dr I paid a second time for this app and I can't even install it anymore and money is already deducted from my bank account.

Hi,
if it's showing as cancelled, the money will be automatically refunded within the timeline defined by the Google.
Probably it's an issue with Google Services. If your old purchase is still valid, just remove the google account it from the device & add it again after the restart. It won't ask you to purchase again.

Why most developers don't support 3rd party apps store?

it's crazy when you don't want Google on your phone for privacy,
like some devs have "google play DRM" with their app, so even if you do "APK" backup, it won't work unless you have google services and google play store.
heck, some of these apps require you to be "OnLiNe" for 24h wtf is this?
its 2022 devs should do better than this and stay a way from monopoly and anti-privacy companies.
Well put. For some apps, I have offered devs 10 to 20 USD to buy a license. Very few bother to reply. These apps might cost 2 to 5 USD on google play. My phone has no gapps installed so often I have to get these apks from other sources. In many cases I already paid for them when I had google play years ago, so I don't feel any guilt in using them. It is indeed a hassle to attempt to patch apps I previously bought to run on a phone without google as they otherwise phone home for a license check.
However when I did get a reply from a dev I bought thru Amazon and emailed the payment screenshot to the dev and they sent me a link to download an apk!
Anyone on here should be able to install an apk without an app store.
Fdroid is the only app repository I will consider putting on my phone.
Strange times indeed. Very few people understand that most of the network activity done by apps has very little to do with the apps actual functioning, in most cases. Its just a privatized big brother. I hate it.
End rant. Sorry.
