Question about undoing an update - OnePlus 6 Guides, News, & Discussion

Is there a way to undo an update that was installed accidentally cos it was on the pocket while phone was unlocked?
Haven't rebooted the phone yet.

Focus relocked. Can't unlock again

Yesterday I unlocked my phone with Chevron. I thought I applied the setting in Samsung tools to prevent relocking but apparently not. Today it's locked again and no matter what I try, I can not get it to re-unlock. I followed all the steps here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=918710 several times with no success. Are there any other things to try?
Thanks
Did you install a update or just sync to Zune? Not sure what you have done that caused you to lock back?
Sent from my SGH-i917 phone using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
Just synced with Zune. This happened yesterday. Then today, I got my pre-nodo and nodo from AT&T. Tried it again, post nodo, and still no luck unlocking.
Well if you have NODO now you wont unlock again, but if you go back to restore point to previous version then you should be able to unlock again and then add edit to registry to prevent locking, then do the update.
Ah crap. I didn't realize I couldn't unlock with nodo. So how do I roll back?

Check zune device / update. If there is no "restore" button, so probably zune deleted the rollback files (they are very big > 5 gb)
Ok. I rolled it back but still have the same issue. I'm wondering if this could have caused a problem. My home copmuter was the main zune partnership with my phone. I wanted to unlock it while I was at work so I changed my work zune from "guest" to main. I then unlocked succesfully. I added some apps and everything worked. When I got home, I installed developer tools on my home computer but could not get xap's to install there. I think it was because it was no considered a guest. Not understanding this, I opened Chevron and clicked re-lock. It changed to "lock" so I tried to re-unlock it and have had issues ever since. Even back at work, where zune Sync Relationship is main, still no luck.

OK, well when you did the update i am sure you also had to update zune before you updated phone, right? Maybe on the computer that you didnt use, work or home, use the other computer but unistall zune and try to install the older version of zune, then try to unlock. The zune update maybe preventer for chevron to read correctly. Now this might not work but i think it should.
I tried everything I could think of. The only thing that worked was a hard reset. I am now unlocked. I went into "Samsung Tools," and selected "Prevent Device Relocking." I have sync'd with my comp several times and it appears to be working. It has not relocked. Is it now save for me to proceed with the NODO update once again? I don't want it to relock and have to hard reset again so I want to be sure.
Thanks
Mine was unlock before nodo updated to nodo and everything still worked fine, so maybe you'll be ok.

Root problems

So a while ago EMUI 3.0 came out, at first i was afraid of updating to it since my phone was rooted.
But today i finally got the nerves to do it, uh oh, what? My phone is modified? oh well screw that, i will continue updating. So i updated my phone, and when it restarted, the phone didnt change at all, and it said that my update failed. I later tried a update from the SD and had no luck. I think it is something to do with the root and the unlocked bootloader, so i unrooted my phone but i dont know how to relock my bootloader. IS there any way i can upgrade to EMUI 3.0?

is there a way to update my phone without loosing root or changes made with root

Lost Network Unlock after TWRP restore

Hi All,
I have, well now had, an unlocked Tmobile Note 5 . I was messing around with various roms without much problems until I installed the xposed framework. Long story short i could get passed the splash screen. So, i went to TWRP and installed a perfect backup I saved of Darth's rom. Upon booting i was greeted with an invalid sim message. I tried reverting to a stock backup via recovery but i had but still the same message.
Now i need to unlock again, which i can only do on a stock rom bc the tmobile unlock app recognizes I'm on a CFW.
I tried restoring the modem and EFS from a backup that was unlocked and no dice! I'm wondering which unlocking method could have possibly been used.
My question
Once I'm unlocked, which files can I save in the event I need to reinstall if lose unlocked status again?
Thanks

Relocking bootloader, stock OOS android 10

Hey, i have android 10 stable installed in my phone. Just before i updated my phone (while i still was on 9.0.9), i also unlocked my bootloader, nothing else, no twrp or root. Now i would like to relock my phone again, because google pay is not working anymore, and im not willing to root my phone, because updating problems all the time etc. so can i relock my bootloader just by using command "fastboot oem lock" on fastboot mode? or do i have to do something else before that? also, is there possibility to brick phone somehow? if so, is there a way to fix it, while using OOS with android 10? i know this is stupid question but i hope someone could anwer it. Its not first time, when something is changed due new android update, and all previous guides are wrong.. =/
only reason i unlocked my phone, was that when i had oneplus 1, it bricked somehow oneday, and only way to get it back working, was empying whole phone, but there was possibility to recover data, if bootloader is unlocked, but i didnt have that, so i lost everything.. so i unlocked this one, to prevent that problem, but now i have new, because Android Pay is not working..
I think you can use "Fastboot oem lock" as always, but it will wipe all your data (It's no way to skip that). I think it won't brick your phone
Yes, it won't brick your phone, just wipe your data.
Relocking succeed, thank you..
