Hello,
recently my old galaxy S6 is dead with all my datas inside, no response on charging cable, no response on power button combinations, it's completely dead.
I've buyed a new battery and this does not solve the problem.
I've tried to connect and disconnect the battery and, sometimes, after i touch the power connector on the phone with my finger and connect the battery a white battery with a lightning bolt appears, or if i'm lucky the green charging battery appears: in this case, if i try to boot the phone the boot begins, but the phone freeze during the boot. For example, last time the screen froze with the SA of SAMSUNG appearing and the only thing i can do is to disconnect and reconnect the battery.
With this in mind i'm thinking about two possibilities:
- The motherboard is broken
- The battery connector on the phone is broken
Am i correct?
How do i verify if the battery connector is broken?, i was thinking about trying with a multimeter, but i really don't have idea how to use it and check, what do you think about this?
Thank you in advance.
A

Ehm need some time to check my HDD...

I've BRICKED my device
All of a sudden, when the device was connected to the charger and was in standby, I tried to power it up....and it wouldnt turn on. I pulled the charger cable out....the LED was still glowing. I pulled the battery and put it back in.....and that was it. Completely dead....no response
Plugging in the power, switching batteries (fully charged), pressing all buttons, hard reset/emergency mode key combos, punching the reset hole a million times, pulling the batteries in/out with the charger in/out....all sorts of crap tried. Even the power LED doesn't glow when the charger is connected. NO sign of life from the PDA in ANY form. Completely dead = paper weight. Also tried holding the power button for over a minute or two...nothing happens. Also tried using Mirage and pluggin it in....doesn't detect anything.
Now I need some help guys -
1. My i780 is just 2 weeks old. Will my warranty be void if Samsung finds some other rom? If so, how do they process this? Can they fix and I pay for support?
2. If the device doesn't power up, they anyway cant figure what rom's in there...so i should technically qualify for a replacement....am i right?
3. Anyone here have bricked and dealt with samsung service? your experience?
4. Any other ideas on what i could do to unbrick?
Thanks....sucks guys
Shame to hear that
Have you tried to ask in off topic in thread regardnig samsung?
Good luck,
Hey orb!
I guess mine's a total brick here....looks more like a hardware failure. I plug the charger in, the LED doesn't glow....nothing happens no matter what i do. Its just a dead chunk of plastic at the moment. Guess its going back to the service center.
You'll be happy about this though.......i'm back on my trusty universal once again! It still is simply the best device out there! Only gripe is that it runs on just 64megs ram.
Cheers
is that able to flash rom or enter emergency mode ?
i guess may be rom problem ,
i780 propably will like this if you are using the oldest rom ~

Hi anyone...
Need help to see if there is solution to my dead i780. After charging for quite sometime, the led indicator still remain "RED". I suspected something went wrong so I unplug the power and the red indicate still there. I tried switching on or off the phone but was unsuccessful. No choice, I have to take out my battery and place it back. After doing so, the phone cannot be turn on anymore!!!
Having an external battery charger and spare battery, I tested with a different battery but still unsuccessful. Charge the existing battery with the external charger have no issue. So I concluded that the problem now lies with the phone... any solution? or anyone encountered this before.
If I send for repair, is it worth it? $20++ for checking and $XXX.XX for parts.
Thank you.
I have galaxy SII SGH-I727 the battery after a full charge last 1 hour idle mode , also when I plug it to charger I get a pop up message saying "battery overheated charging disconnected"
I tried factory reset , I replaced the battery and cleaned the USB slot but none of these solved the issue, I took it to Samsung repair center, they didn't bother looking at it as they just wanted to replace the motherboard which it is as expensive as new phone.
the battery is not really hot when that message pop up.
the phone is not rooted and I rather not to get involved in it
So before I give up on this phone, does anyone know a way to fix it ?
Regards

Hello, I have a problem with my Xperia Z3 (D6603), battery perecnt stays at 50% sometimes it jumps to 70%, 20%, 100%. One time it was dead for 3 weeks, when I plug it, it shows battery but doesnt charge. I barley managed to power it up, but same problen presists. Only way to charge it is by powering off the device and pluging in the microUSB cable in adapter that is connected to AC (220v) European. Is it the battery problem or some other hardware issue? Im so thankful by any reply, id be so thankful to solve this issue. Thank you guys so much. :victory:

How old is the phone

I don't know, I bought it second hand. It was good for about 3 weeks and suddenly that problem startetd comming. I found a solution kind of. Remove the back cover and press hard on battery pin connector and it charges just fine. So is it the motherboard or the battery it self or the batteries flat cable? Thanks
Login into Sony account and type the imei number so you can check the warranty if there's any time left it'll tell you the age of the device as they have a 2 year warranty

Problem is fixed, if you have this problem and if you are lazy just press hard on back of the phone because flex cable is loose and right now I have 68% issue reoccurs sometimes but its not a big deal. If you know how to remove back cover just find battery connector and press hard on it while phone is charging until you see red/yellow/green led show you are good to go! I hope I helped someone, and thank you guys for replying.
If I helped you hit that thanks button
TRY THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! I am not responsible for damaged connector/motherboard nor damaged phone. I'm just saying how I fixed my battery problem
