Hi all,
I recently got myself a 2nd hand Galaxy Note Edge SM-N915V. The previous owner did a factory reset and i think this made the phone sim locked to verizon again.
So yesterday i spent a whole afternoon and night trying to figure out how to unlock that and at the same time to upgrade to MM 6.0.1.
I checked the following couple posts from Verizon Note Edge Android Development here on xda;
- [OFFICIAL] Verizon Galaxy Note Edge Bootloader Unlock -- Developer Edition Conversion - By npjohnson
- Verizon note edge marshmallow bootloader unlock - By mnw1989
Following their guidelines, i was able to flash the MM bootloader, do a bootloader unlock and enable Developer Mode. Did not flash the TWRP or the custom kernel though.
At the end of the night, i got myself MM 6.0.1 developer mode on the note edge but with the sim locked on verizon.
I am kind of lost and tired to go looking again. Anybody can help please?!
Nobody helped u? Lol. Ya, this phone has no support

Kind of late...but Bootloader unlock is not a SIM unlock.
You will probably have to pay to SIM unlock the device. There are many online options and they're not usually very expensive... they just need the IMEI of the phone and a day or two to get the unlock code.

Maybe U Can Try This One.
Hello, so about a month ago I did a SamFAIL root on my Galaxy Note 8, and while it is rooted, it doesn't have all the other booting goods that I'd like. My carrier is Verizon, which doesn't have the OEM unlock option in the developer settings which is why I did the SamFAIL root instead of a TWRP root, but I did a little research and found out that if I call Verizon, they will preform a carrier unlock for me. My question is, if I get my phone carrier unlocked and then preform a TWRP root on my Note 8, can I keep using Verizon?
I have my at&t note 10+ unlocked by code. If I flash unlocked 975u1 firmware can I use sprint with volte? Or do I need to install sprint firmware. (AT&T firmware is not getting service with the sprint sim even though activated with the imei.
how can I unlock the bootloader and root my Verizon Note 5? has anyone been successful with this? please help!
I didn't know and I bought a Verizon Pixel 3 and I can't unlock the bootloader
