optimus 2x gesture support

one of my favorite things about the optimus 2x had been the text gesture control.
does anyone know if it is possible to get this to work on our g2x with the swype keyboard? or would i need to use the LG keyboard to make it work.

Good thread I'd like to have these myself.
Me too!! I believe it was in the LG software overlay. However I hear its coming to CM7 and will also allow U to set up swipe gestures from the lock screen. Anyone else here this?
CM7 already has Lockscreen Gestures for custom unlock swipes and launching applications. This has been out for a while. I usually disable my Lockscreen sliders so you can't see them and ONLY use the gestures. People who try to get in my phone are totally clueless. Plus they are easy to change to whatever.
The video doesn't really use Gestures at all but rather the GSensor. Seemed gimmicky at best. It is a feature that I would probably enable, play with, and forget about the next time I flashed the next Nightly.
I can imagine the battery this thing would eat having the GSensor active all the time waiting for your input. No offense but I'll pass.

[App] Flip Over

Hi,
I just create my first android app and already put it on market. This app can detect your flip action and turn your device into silent mode. I noticed that there are many same apps in the market, but I make it some differences:
1. After flip down, my app uses the camera preview to detect the light condition, if it is dark, I treat it as in the pocket or handbag and will not enter the silence mode
2. The app allows you to record the voice. It is good for capturing what the boss said but finally he forget.
3. It can also enable the proximity and light sensor, I cannot see this kind of feature in other app
I hope it is the most serious "flip" app, there is no graphic, since I directly inherit from PreferenceActivity. No eating the battery, the background service of the app just listen to the GavitySensor and a handler loop every 500ms.
Hope you can try and comment. And there is a Pro version with US$1, it can extend the voice recording, enable the camera shoot and phone call . Hope you enjoy.
You can just go to market and search by "flip over". Thanks.

How does the camera function work. If you flip your phone it would be stationary like left on a table so what would it capture?

Nice thinking but it needs more testing...
Good luck.

[Q] Turn on screen with touch gesture

Hello All!
I was wondering, if there is a way to turn on the screen on any android device {I have an i9100(CM10.2) and an i9505 (stock with root)} by drawing a gesture on the locked and turned off screen?(a gesture like the ones in GMD, or Nova) I know it would consume a bit more battery, and that there are apps, like Gravity box, that aim to do this, via the proximity sensor, or gyro/accelerometer, but I'd like to do it with the gesture(a little like the LG G pro 2 or the LG G2...
Anybody have any idea, suggestion? I've heard or read of something like this before, but I cannot find it anywhere...

Immersive mode and camera app

Hi Guys,
I took the plunge and updated to lollipop and so far I love it, apart from all the hassle of getting xposed working (but that's all fixed now)
Currently I have my phone set up with an Immersive Navbar using UDN Pro and it works great, except for the camera app as there is no way to exit it - UDN pro always thinks the phone is in landscape when its in portrait and vice versa so although you are technically able to exit its a massive fuss.
Is there a way using Tasker to enable the system Navbar when I open the camera app and kill it when I close the app? I'am aware of the steps needed to do this such as how to use tasker and probably the use of secure settings?
But what process will I be looking for in secure settings which relates to the soft keys?
Can anyone help on this?
Thanks

[Q] Favourite feature of CM 12s?

Which is the feature which you use the most of the times on CM 12s?
Or the feature which you like the most!
For eg I like feature of having trusted face and it unlocks the phone without turning on the camera if your face is in front of the camera!
I guess this is simple, but I like clicking on the quick settings panel. Really helps me out with battery and flipping through wifi/profiles. Nocturnal build also has the reboot tab so I can get into recovery. I never have to use my power button anymore.
