Hi All,
I have used the phone for 2 years. I am planning to use OnePlus 7 Pro for one more year. When I check in system files, I found that my battery design capacity was only 3558 (Instead of 4000Mah). And Charge full is only 3118 which is 79% of 4000mah. Should i replace to new one or not??
Edit : I have confirmed from official service center that new battery is available
change if you can get the original battery.
I do not recommend it if you want to change it to an analogue. after a couple of months, the analogue will work worse than the old original battery.

if your country has an official 1+ service, they can replace the battery. 1+ does not sell original parts.

I bought this battery couple days ago, and I want to see if there is some opinions about what I should expect from this battery, before I will get it and will share my own from the usage of it.
I am thinking of getting one just like that. Let us know when you get it...

If it's 2450mAh and the same size as the original battery, it's fake.
I've seen these gold batteries before. Often they are OEM batteries with a fancy sticker on. Don't be fooled. Run it via a battery test, or even use Spare Parts to check the capacity. Also, avoid the placebo effect, your phone might seem to last longer and because of that you think it's a good battery but it might be simply because the battery is newer; you should consider does it run better than when you first had the phone?
If "Item location: Hong Kong, China" doesn't say enough, the free shipping and outrageous capacity claim should tip you off that it's a burn. It's just a low quality knockoff battery with a flashy label.
It's a fake.
If you want more capacity you need to buy a bigger battery and the cover to contain it, there are no other options.

That's not strictly true. You can get non-fake batteries up to 1800 mAh while still being able to use the original battery cover.
I'm using this one (Polar Cell with 1800 mAh) with the original cover:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/PolarCell-Akku-Samsung-GT-i9000-Galaxy-S-EB575152VU-/390280069621
I don't think there will be batteries with more capacity and the same size - those are just fakes coming from China, GB...

I've got the same battery. It's a big improvement over the stock battery.
I'm going to get one of these batterys and try them
And if size doesn't matter you may search for a battery with a capacity between 3.000 and 3.500 mAh, changing the battery cover. But i won't buy the one from the first post...
For me that's way to thick. :silly: I also think it's ok if the battery lasts at least 20 hours - or i'll just take another charged battery with me.
Another charged battery is a good resolution too and i got a second one cuz its my second sgs+ my old had a bath but i had insurance so i got a new device
Hi,
My original battery is no longer retaining the charge, and is draining too quickly.
could you please recommend a good replacement battery that will fit in the standard case.
cheers

Hi,
I have received recently bought a used nexus 5 but think that it might need a new battery. I have looked all over the internet including many forums on XDA and have found batteries which people say are good, but they are no longer being sold.
I don't need an official battery, just one that is good and safe. I don't mind if it is official though. I've heard about polarcell batteries, are they good?
It would be great if you could tell me about the battery and how it is for you if you replaced yours.
Thanks
I know that the original battery is not really good. I am sure that you can find something better than the original one, but you have to search, read the feedback...So I just chose the original one :

But this battery is it safe for the nexus(not explosing or other things)?
It is probably safe but since neither the nexus 5 nor its original batteries have been manufactured for several years this battery has been sitting on a shelf for years. So it is not "fresh". Whether that will affect its function or not is a question.

That battery shows a manufacture date of 2/28/16. Looking at the various ones available that would appear to be the newest.
I replaced my battery due to aging, the capacity of the new battery is 4400mAh。Since it is not an official battery, system shows that the battery design capacity is still 4000mAh. I try to modify /sys/class/power_supply/bms/uevent this file, change "power_supply_charge_full" from 3835 to 4400。I saved this file and quit, but "power_supply_charge_full" didn't change when I open it again. The system is H2OS, and I flashed r58 arter97 kernel. How can I modify the battery design capacity?
Interested to see how this works out. Keep us informed

4400 mAh? Where did you get this?
I bet the battery you bought isn't even 3500mah . Aftermarket batteries advertising with more mah than the original one are in 99% of the cases bs. I hope I'm wrong for you but keep in mind this could be the case. Where did you bought it? You have a link maybe?

I live in China, there are many shops on Taobao.com that sell third-party batteries for various mobile phones, like apple, xiaomi. Regarding the battery, I used the AccuBattery test, and it took about 4450mah to charge from 1% to 100%. Many people who bought the battery have also verified that its capacity is not fake. I heard that the system information about the battery can be modified only if the kernel has open permissions. Unfortunately, many kernels do not support it, including arter97.

Modified it from twrp?
I believe you, but with the experience I have this is rare. I also asked where the battery is from, if possible with a link. My battery (accubattery) is saying 86% , so I'm interested in possible replacements. Also, I worked 5 years at a repair shop for a big provider in the Netherlands so I'm no noob in hardware repair. A bigger battery normally (kinda logical) is bigger, so if the promise is 10% bigger mah it normally should be bigger and don't fit the housing. What I wonder is if the OP8pro battery could fit in the OP7pro, the connection is on the same place but not sure if it's the same. I can't find any size specs about the OP8P battery unfortunately.

I did this with Samsung note 5, bought multiply 3rd party batteries and they were all below orginal battery capicity even though they sold as higher. Also verified from accubattery, as far as I know you can't change the 4000 as it is the default but there should be a setting to change it
Thats interesting, i wanna try that too myself but im wondering... you obviously losee the warp charge function with these batteries right? How long it wakes to actually charge from 1 to 100? @Desertz

Maybe no but he needs to confirm
Sounds like a bad idea and you got ripped off for a fake battery
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-galaxy-note5/battery-experiment-t3502232
Instead of wrap charge, Qualcomm 2.0 worked on all batteries tested
Since you need an account for taobao, this is what U.S offers. Phone is made in China, batteries, so replacement battery should be from China. https://www.ebay.com/itm/LOSONCOER-...174264914155?_trksid=p2385738.m4383.l4275.c10
can confirm this losoncoer battery does wrap charge, gonna test capicty with accurate battery and battery calbration(app and draining total no power)

Alright thanks, keep us informed please I'm really curious about this topic as I kinda wanna get my hands on a new battery, mine is 82% health don't know how much of a difference I would notice if I manage to get an original 4000mah battery.
Also kinda of random question but do you know where to buy an original warp charger? Thanks

Meeh there is not such a thing as Oneplus store in a country like Mexico, if not i would have already buy one.
The market is flooded with fake chargers that somehow trick the phone and it shows warp charge but if you mesure the watt these chargers will never go above 17w so is even worse than a dash charger.
Have you tried eBay?
As I am stuck with this phone for a while longer, I was wondering if theres anybody here that could please suggest a place to get a high/good quality replacement battery for my HTC U12+ and I'd also like to replace the USB-C port with a good one too of possible.
Thank you!!!
Still no one?

For the usb port I would buy this one after a quick search on aliexpress too, the store has a good percentage of positive reviews and over 6000 followers.. so you should be ok with them to get a replacement in case of parcel lost or receive a damage one. Although I never got bad deals from sellers with these conditions.

Hi, they sent the wrong model and I haven't bought another one yet.. They sent the money back, but I'm still using the original one as it is still around 75% healthy and good enough to daily use for me.
But I would buy the same again if I was going to buy one now. The one they sent seems good visually, well packaged and brand new.
edit: about the one someone sent above, I saw bad reviews about that shop...
