Note10 stuck at error screen - Need PDA info - Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Questions & Answers

I didn't document my software settings prior to starting a flash attempt on my Note10 SM-N975F/DS. Now I'm stuck at the 'An error has occurred while updating the device software' screen. And now I don't know the firmware or software version I need to download. Frija is asking for the CSC but I don't have it.
Any suggestions on finding the correct software version to download?

[Completed] Help with Verizon Note 2 firmware issues

My friend gave me his Verizon Note 2 that he bricked (I dont know how) and asked me to fix it. Every time i try to flash a ROM it either fails or 1 of the 2 messages "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again." (The phone isn't compatible with Kies) or " System software not authorized by Verizon Wireless has been found. Please turn off your phone and go to the nearest Verizon Wireless store for help." (It has no contract and the warranty is up) Can someone please help me fix this issue? Thanks.
Edit:When i flash something and it fails it says on the phone "SW REV. Invalid magic string"
Hi
"SW REV. Invalid magic string" could mean that you are trying to install an older firmware (downgrade). Try again with the latest firmware available for your device.
Good luck.
So you are saying to try and install the latest version of android for it? (I believe that's 4.4.2)
Exactly. Some Samsung firmwares (bootloader) don't allow you to downgrade. No problem to flash the same Android version or a more recent one.
If you can, please provide a link because I have the tendency to pick the wrong ones
Here you go

THANK YOU SO MUCH, THE NOTE 2 SEES LIFE AGAIN!!! :victory:

S8+ unauthorised system changes- the Saga

Hi All
so i am tearing my hair out trying to resolve my issue with a new S8+. i have spent better part of 1 week trying to suss out how the heck to fix this, trawling through forums, web pages trying everything without success.
Background
i purchased a S8+ through a friend who went to china. the device was made the US markets and i live in southern africa.
As far as i am aware the device is brand new (friend purchased s8 for some1 else- no issues) and came with full packaging and box
when i came to setup the device after going through all the usual bits, i got the security agent login message "unauthorised system changes- please restart device" and this message keeps appears even after the restart
Attempted Fixes
1. Attempted to root the phone- tried using specified apps- Kingroot, kingoroot in an attempt to disable system notifications. failed to root
2. Root using Odin- after trawling through the internet i found root file CF-Auto-Root-dream2qltesq-dream2qltesq-smg955u
this failed- odin error
3. Attempted to reload stock firmware - downloaded multiple versions of andriod, learnt a bit about using the right firmware download- failed. error message to the effect binary code 2>1
4. sideload oero based on firmware: failed - error message unable to load as andriod expecting different file version- (sorry i dont know if this is too vague)

HELP
all i want is to get rid of the annoying agent login message and start using my phone
at this stage not fussed about rooting phone.
grateful if i could get some good advice on how to resolve this. i have trawled and trawled the threads and have almost given up on sorting this

when going into download mode the carrier is VZW so assuming the device was meant for V Wireless in US
I recently went through the same thing you are describing but with my Galaxy S7. I had to download software from Verizon, install the software on my computer. Start the software and follow the instructions. You will need internet access. USB data cable. Your phone (if it's anything like mine was) will need to be started in Download Mode before connecting to your computer. If you can't find the software on Verizon's website let me know and I will get the link from other computer when I get back home in the next day or two. Hope this helps. BTW this didn't help the ROOT situation. Currently still researching that as well.

ABD for s8+ Oreo

HELLO!
I have here an S8+ running Oreo. i'm trying to get ABD debuggin on. been looking at combined firmware to get into the settings as we all know Oreo is tight. but i cant seem to find the right firmware that i need.
the model number is SM-G955U and bootloader version is 3. I'm using Odin. The only firmware i've been able to download in proper Md5 format have been for B1. Need a b3 version. i found a few sites to download it from but it downloads in a non-existent file extension as there was a .info in the title... might have screwed the file settings during upload to download. tried to convert it back myself, but Odin keeps saying its an invalid MD5.
so I came here to see if anyone might have that awesome binary factory thinger for this phone.
thanks a millions!

Need Help With My S6 ASAP Please.

Hello wise people of XDA,
This is my first post.
I currently use an S6 G920F United Kindom unlocked as my phone and i have been using this phone for a long time. Now its past its warranty I decided to root the phone and see what i can do with it and get rid of the bloatware. Normally i either use KingoRoot or KingRoot but both failed so I searched around on the internet and came across CF Auto Root. After seeing it was successful for others i jumped on the bandwagon. I rooted it and everything was golden until i came across a problem, it would randomly turn off. This was random and infrequent. but not it happens like 5 times a day so i decided to flash a stock rom. For some strange reason Sam mobile wont let me download a stock Rom so after poking around the internet i have download a few stock roms however they always fail in Odin. Now my phone wont even boot as it says "error occured while updating use smart switch emergency recovery feature" so i go onto the Smart switch PC app and then it doesnt recognise. After 2 days of trying i haven't had any luck so I don't know what to so. Every time I try flashing something, when it fails i get some red text on the phone which I don't understand.
Someone please help me as I cant just buy a new phone and this is the only phone i have got. Any help would be very grateful and please don't hesitate to ask any questions.
Edit:
It says on the Download Screen:
Odin Mode
Product Name: SM-G920F
Current Binary: Custom
System Status: Custom
Reactivation Lock: Off
Secure Download: Enabled
Knox Warranty Woid : 1 (0x0500)
RP SWREV: B:6 K:2 S:2
(When it fails it says) SW REV. Check Fail. Device:6 . Binary: 5
Hopefully that helped.
Somewhere in the middle of the firmware version there's either S5 or U5, on the firmware you are trying to flash. On the phone either S6 or U6 is installed, and there's downgrade prevention. You need firmware with S6 or U6. By S6 I don't mean the phone, it is just a version code.
Generally look for the firmware meant for the phone's region, though on websites the displayed region might be incorrect.
If the cellular fails change the firmware or wipe data (not efs!!!!!).

What do I do? I have like 10 different "stock roms" claiming to be United Kindgom BTU at Android 7.0 but all are failing. And I do not know what you mean by S5/6 and U5/6. And now i get a different error message. When it fails it now says Binary: 1. I don't know what to do!
Thanks for the quick reply and appreciate the help.

The firmware version(s) look like this,
G920FXXU6ERF5 . If there is U6 on the device and the U5 is flashed, it won't work. There are a few firmware 'components' inside the zip or whatever, and all of these must have the same or a higher version in the middle. New firmware might require odin 3.13.1 but should not show this error.

U6/S6, "Device:6" is in the odin log so it's already 6 and won't return to 5.

Stuck in Software Update Failed from Verizon Software Upgrade Assistant

I am trying to update my Verizon Note 5 to the latest RH1 update. It currently has the RG1 update installed. I no longer have cell service on this phone (just use it as a media device) and have used the Verizon Software Update tool via my PC for the last 4 or 5 updates and everything has gone smooth. Today the Software Update tool froze with the error message on the phone Secure Check Fail (Radio) and I’m stuck in an Update Failed screen and unable to power down. I have used Odin before and have successfully rooted several other Samsung devices. I think this issue can be resolved in Odin but not sure where to look for repair files. Please advise.
Crisis averted, I was able to repair it through the Verizon Repair Update tool. Thanks.
