time lapse display is always on in native camera app? - Huawei Mate 30 Pro Questions & Answers

Is there a trick to getting the display to turn off during time lapse recording?
I'm trying to capture 1 frame per second for 5 hours, but the display never
turns off (which wastes battery energy and burns out the screen!).

[Q] (Samsung) Android camera tweaks?

I remember back in the WinMo days, there were so many options to tweak for anything, including the camera. I'm looking to do something similar on my Droid Charge.
What I would like to do is:
- Change the timer mode for a longer duration maybe 30 sec or 1-2 min
- Have a setting where I can take multiple pictures over a period of time (i.e. 1 pic every 3 sec, for 1 min)
- Change the panoramic mode so each stitched picture is 8MP (as opposed to the entire panoramic photo being 8MP)
Is there such a way to modify the camera setting? Or is there a 3rd party app that will allow this? (and also allow timestamp plus GPS tagging)? Or maybe is there a bluetooth remote button device where I can remotely activate the camera?
(I do a lot of camping and mountain climbing, and would like to take pics, but it takes longer than 10 sec to run from the camera to the desired spot. I'd also like to take action shots as I go)

Is it bad to set a really low screen timeout?

Is it bad for the display to set a really low screen timeout? I always have this feeling that turning on and off the display on a frequent basis is bad for the hardware (display) and will burnout. I like to check my Twitter whenever I'm not doing something, so sometimes it can be every 5 minutes in an hour. Let's put it this way: if I spam press the lock button at 4 second intervals repeatedly for a long duration, would it be bad for the screen? (Just to put things into perspective, since every 5 minutes in an hour is a lot). I know setting the timeout on the display low can save battery life, but is a really low "timeout" bad for the display?

Now that u mention it I could see how it could be bad... But I don't think its gonna be too hard on the device. I usually use a screen timeout of one minute.
Press thanks if I've helped u!

no i don't think it will damage anything on you device, but it is better to keep your timeout as 1 or 2 minutes because i think that a timeout as low as 15 seconds
can damage the power button as it will be used up continuously after every 15 seconds if you forgot to keep the screen awake. STILL, i will give it a thought and
will let you know tomorrow
Still waiting for your response.

as for the led lighting, apparently cycling them off and on does not reduce lifespan, although heat does so it may help with that
that doesn't speak for video display circuitry, or (as previously mentioned) physical switches lifetime

[Q] I have a problem in the camera 4K mode

Hello guys
When I use put 4k z3 degree temperature rise significantly, then the camera closes in compulsory
Just use the camera in 4K two minutes
In manual mode 10 minutes
In automatic mode and 10 minutes too
Do you have a solution to it?
No. Model is D6616
I'm sorry,,, I use google translation
Its a known thing, almost every reviewer also mentions it stopping at around ~10 mins due to overheating, so don't worry you did not get a defective unit.
Only solution right now, is if you live in a cold area it will take longer before it stops, but basically the answer is no.

camera Nexus 5, Android 6.0.1 and hints for battery savings

Hi all,
Front camera is not working. Actually once I open camera's app, the option for the front camera is there, but then after a couple of seconds it disappears. Any fix for this?
Also are there any hints for power savings.? This phone runs out of battery 2 times in a day Bluetooth and wifi are always open. I have disabled adaptive brightness, I keep the brightness level constant, around 25%.
Thanks

Hands fully bright in AOD mode possible?

Hi all
Is there any way to even custom make a face with the watchmaker or the galaxy watch designer but keeping the hour and minutes hands fully bright as in full brightness when in AOD mode?
You see I just want to be able to check time on my motorbike when driving with a glance in fully sunny day and not looking for a shady place on the street:laugh:
Thanks

I think you can't control the brightness decreasing when the watch switches to AOD mode. I remember in Watchmaker there was a option to tune the brightness in AOD mode but it was never as bright as in normal mode.
What could help you is this app: Flaunt
It will keep your display on for 30 minutes but at a cost of battery life

I will have to try that! In the meantime, I think I've exploited a bug/glitch on my Galaxy Watch 3. I can't show it in a photo because of auto light adjustments, but it looks at least 1.5-2X as bright as the dim limitation.
I set my brightness to 5, with auto brightness on and screen timeout at 5 minutes - seems to consumer about 1% extra battery per hour.
1) In WatchMaker, set screen timeout to default, and 70% OPR in bright mode (15% is all you can do in dim mode)
2) With Tasker on your phone, set up an event triggered by time (i.e. 8AM - 11PM) that repeats every 5 minutes
3) Use the WatchMaker plugin to send that same face to your watch.
It may take a cycle or two to sync up, but what it does is tricks or freezes the watchface in something substantially brighter than the 15% OPR, I'd assume maybe 70% of whatever it is in brightness.
The hour and minute hand still update every minute. In fact, you will see the now frozen second hand move for about 3 seconds every minute as the time updates. I might just drop the second hand if I can't figure out how to hide it selectively. As an added bonus, the refresh doesn't activate the face, it will flash and the hands update but it remains in dim mode.
I think you can disable the vibrate notification for a face change. It flashes quite quickly on refresh - 1-2 seconds. I wonder if there's a way to disable the "white" flash on refresh? Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with it for a more usable AOD with faces that are otherwise hard to see at 15% OPR.
WARNING: Don't forget about burn-in. I'm creating a mesh overlay (basically 1 pure black pixel per 11x11 square) that will "rotate" every minute to duplicate the burn-in protection. Instead of shifting pixels, it will black out very pixel once every hour or two. Then I also have a rotation of black/dark gray screens with an equal number of colored faces.
