Encrypt sd card on Android 11 without adoptable storage? - Security Discussion

Is there a way to encrypt the SD card on Android 11/LOS 18.1 without using adoptable storage? My phone's lineage version doesnt support adoptable storage and I can't find any luks/veracrypt that works the way I want it.

which way do you want it?
you can create file containers on the sdcard and mount them with cryptsetup.. EDS lite has an UI for this. Other approaches need root and cryptsetup compiled for the device. This is more involved, but can give you automount with init scripts.

Encrypting External SD Card

I want to encrypt my SD card in a way that I can access it on my Linux system. The only two apps I find that can do this, get errors when they try to set up containers.
I want this container to open when I unlock the phone. SD card is a Samsung 128GB card. I can move files to it wirelessly and with file manager, but not with the encryption apps. Could this be because I'm running Marshmellow (Resurrction Remix)?

Add MicroSD to internal Storage

Hi,
I am searching a way to make my 64GB micro sd Card add up to my 8GB Internal Storage. So that i can do everything on one Storage and not have to use app2sd or etc.
My stats:
Galaxy Tab E SM-T560
Dot Os with Android 7.1.2
Rooted with Magisk
Verbratim microSD 64Gb
XPosed installed.
I do not want the in built Android way because then it is still two sepperate storages.
What can i do?
Best Thanks
Rydeg
IMO you have to use Android's built-in Adoptable storage feature if it's supported

Why do I have to isnĀ“t there a workaround to force the sdcard to add up the internal storge because for example if i move apps to the sdcard the xposed moduls do not work.
I would like to have one 64+8=72GB storage in which everything works.
If you tell Android to use external SD-card as Adoptable storage then the amount of GBs you define becomes an extension to phone's internal storage memory. So what's your problem?

I tried it but then I have to move all the apps to external storage and when i move them the icons on the homescreen dissapear on boot. And if I move Xposed the modules I dowloaded do not work anymore they only work in the system storage.
And in the settings it shows as 2 different Storages
And I want that it shows as one internal storage is that possible?

Adoptable Storage?

I have a Sprint LM-V450PM running Android 10 (V450P20j), and I would like to use my SD Card as adoptable storage, but this doesn't seem to be an option in the stock OS's settings. I tried using the ADB commands that should have formatted and mounted the SD Card into adoptable storage mode, but they didn't want to work either. Has anyone gotten Adoptable Storage working on their v50, and if so, how did you do it?

Is it possible to root

I bought this thing and added a 512MB SD card in it, only to find I can't put apps on the SD card. Is there a way to root it and run a ROM that would support this? The build # is T220XXU1AUH3
Apps only can get moved to external SD-card if app's developer granted it. An app's data can get stored on external SD-card if Android offers the Adoptable Storage feature.

External Sd

External SdCard does not work as additional storage does not allow me to move the applications do I need a magisk module or something? Device: Xiaomi Note 7 Android:11
Adoptable Storage feature converts external storage to internal storage ( read: formats it accordingly ), means it becomes inseparable part of / extends Android's internal /data partition.
