For some time now I own a Honor View 10. Back when I got it I paired my Sony Smartwatch 3 with the phone. I experienced that the watch sometimes loses connection to the phone and I had to restart the watch. That was not necessary with my old OnePlus 3. I thought it was the watch going bad because it had some other problems, too.
However, I recently got a Huawei Watch 2 and paired it to my Honor View 10. With the new watch, the problem still exists. Sometimes it loses connection to the phone without showing it. Sleep tracking with Sleep as Android does not get recorded or the watch app does not get the information my alarm is dismissed, notifications are still shown on the watch despite being already swiped away on the phone, new notifications do not get shown on the watch. It can only be resolved by turning off bluetooth on my Honor View 10 and turning it back on then. Sometimes I even need to reboot my watch.
Has anyone else experienced same problems on his or her Honor View 10 or has a smartwatch paired without any problems? For me it seems like the Bluetooth stack went bad on my Honor View 10.
I have exactly the same issue. My phone was fine on stock b130 but went wrong on subsequent updates. I believe the issue is a shared WiFi and Bluetooth stack. I installed Carbon ROM which works and doesn't suffer from this issue - the only problem i have is that I can't play my music collection from the external SD card with the stock music player or my normal one - have to use Poweramp or Rocket etc or copy files to the internal for system.

I have similar issue.
My main concern is that my sleep tracker on the Smartwatch doesn't work when the phone goes to sleep.
So the sleep tracking is useless.
Did anyone else have this problem and now importantly a solution?

wjhat i found was the battery manager was killing off the connection, set it to manual management and no issues since
I got problems pairing my Honor Band3 with my Honor V10 (AICP13.1) After 2 hours of trying i could suddenly pair my device with the tracker. For me i didnt succed to pair this device also with a Huawei AH100 (body fat scale)... Anybody an idea? I have de(installed) the Huawei Health app, deleted Bluetooth cache and data, no success. With an Axon 7 (also running AICP13.1) and a Huawei P10 (AICP13.1 also) i got connection within seconds... No problems to connect the View 10 to an Anker soundbox or an Samsung bluetooth keyboard....

I think it's issue with custom ROM rather than the watch.
May be you can capture logs and send it to the developer.
I would think that, too, but the joke is, that its exactly the same Rom on the Huawei P10 as on the Honor v10: I flashed the same romfile (for the beverley aka V10) onto the Huawei p10 (where the Huawei Body AH100 is definetly recognized by the health-app and runnig correctly) without any error (exept the ota app that leads to an error like this: "the ota app has stopped running") so i tried in the developer options ("networking") with setting different bluetooth AVRCP- Versions (1.3 -1.6) ...

ROM is same but hardware is different hence there is a possibility of software compatibility issues.
But it would be very strange, that the hardware for that the ROM ist made (HonorV10) does not work, while the not really fitting hardware (Huawei p10) will work. Dont you agree?

P10 is Kirin 960 where as hv10 is Kirin 970 and Bluetooth versions are different hv10 has different and updated Bluetooth version than p10 hence it doesn't look strange to me.
Hi everybody !
I'm the lucky owner of a OnePlus One rooted whith custom rom (Resurrection Remix Oreo 8.1 [latest build]) and I was wondering about some tricks to do with the NFC HCE built-in the OPO.
Where I Work, we use NFC cards (MiFare Classic 1K) to access different parts of the building, and i forget my card all the time at home. So I looked on the internet and stumble upon the Card Emulator app which can (if you're rooted) scan the UID of an NFC tag and write it in the HCE part of the NFC module in the OPO.
So I'm able through this method to use my phone while its screen is on and unlocked. Then I wanted to do so while the screen is off, that's why i installed Xposed and the NFC LockScreenOff Enabler module.
But it doesn't seem to work.
My question is, is there a way or an another to use this application while the phone screen is off ?
thanks !
I do not have an answer for your question, but thank you for mentioning this app, I have it now too

You're welcome. But keep in mind that this is only effective when the software that manages the NFC tag readers only use the UID to complete the authentification, which is not secured at all if you value my opinion... I hope that most of modern aunthentication system retailers don't rely anymore on such use of NFC tags.
Have you looked into Menu-Advanced-Xposed in this app?
There is an option Enable NFC when screen is off...
Haven't noticed it ! Will try ASAP. Thanks !
Some background, here in my country, we can use a secure element on the sim card to store money to take public transport by simply turning on the nfc and tapping. I used to use the magisk module to enable my OP3T to use my nfc sim but ever since I upgraded, I have been trying to find ways to enable the nfc sim on my OP6. Apparently, the old thread for the 3/3T and 5/5T has instructions although, I am having some difficulty following the instructions. Is anybody able to mod it for the OP6? Maybe even the original modder @snowwolf725 could do it for the 6? I got quite a lot of value loaded onto my sim for daily transport use.

Bump this, i tried to do it by myself here https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79193723&postcount=29, but reach no results...
I recall using something like this on my G3. It was an NFC payment solution from Orange.
But i just had to use their wallet app (just like GPay) and it would use the NFC chip in my Sim card instead of the phone's chip.
I'd be curious to know you can achieve what you want, it's interesting.

I'm ok with gpay, but in my country (Russia, Moscow) there are universal transport card, and mobile providers has a spesial sim with security chip inside, which implements transport card emulation (using phone nfc module to pass instead plastic card).
Oneplus does not support sim secure chip "from the box", but there are solution for 3, 3T, 5 (up to android oreo). In android 9 libnfc-nxp.conf moved to vendor/etc (istead system/etc) and got many spesial params, so old solution does not works. I didn't yet modify magisk patch from OP 5, but i think i can if someone explain me which nfc config i need.
The second problem is apk and jar from patch, i dont have this original service in android 9 oxygen, so i cant predict behavior of my phone if i'll install custom one...
As well as i sugges that other nfc module using in OP6
So no solution?
Hi, I make a magisk module to Enable NFC-SIM Function for oneplus 6t maybe can work on oneplus 6 ?

I discovered a problem with NFC. Whenever I read a generic NFC tag (only have Mifare Classic 1k to test), the NFC functionality inside the device "crashes" and I have to reboot to make it work for a single read, again, just so it can again crash.
Whenever a tag is read, the NFC functionality crashes and the NFC settings also disappear. Then, NFC apps also complain, that the device does not have any NFC functionality. The device has to be rebooted, to be able to read a single NFC tag, again.
Did anyone experience a similar issue? Is this common across ROMs or this one?

I found a different NFC Tag to test with: Mifare Ultralight.
Actually, everything works fine with Mifare Ultralight. Mifare Classic 1k on the other hand, constantly keeps crashing the NFC functionality, after every single first read, after reboot.

Does anyone have a hint regarding this problem?
Same problem with POCO X3 Pro using Octavi OS.
is there a way to emulate the student ID card so that I don't need to bring the purse everywhere?
