I got my phone a few days ago and it came with ICS installed already on it. Well today I went to my settings and hit software update and there is an update out there for my phone but when I got to install it the phone reboots into CWM.
The file size is like 46551kb. Anyone have any idea what this update is for?

hi guys,
a few months ago I got an OTA software update (3.16.666.10) notification for my HTC One S. Since I have TWRP installed, I haven't been able to install it. That's ok. So I unchecked the automatic software update and I removed a file in the system file in order to remove the permanent software update notification. This worked like a charm.
A few days ago, I checked for updates (I had forgotten why I disabled it!!) and I got the same update notification. Now I want to remove it but the problem is: I don't remember which file I deleted last time!!!!
Does anyone here know which file and where it is located? At least the file name would be great...
Too bad I didn't write it down last time, it was so easy to do...
Thansk for your help.
I recently tried updating my Moto G 1st gen with the OTA file which one of the user got it unfortunately it didnt worked for me due to some or other reason but now it keeps prompting me to install the update problem is this update is not working for me so wanted to download a working update when Motorola rolls out but till the time this is here i wont get one , the update was a zip which i extracted in / and restarted so no files are there in cache folder.

Woke up to this on my phone this morning. Is it worth updating and does it bring any harm to chances of rooting?
allways worth updating.
i updated yesterday and used cf autoroot today first time. works.
Did you by any chance catch the update?
Because when you're rooted you can't update the official way anymore.
As i said before - read again:
Updated yesterday - rooted today.
Just checked mine now, the update appeared. Installing now.
