Hey Guys
I unlocked my Device few days ago. After flashing TWRP Xiaomi.eu miui12 latest version I noticed dual speak is not working only the bottom speak is and it was suppressed and creaking sound. Then I tried fastboot with global miui12 stable but it's return the same result. Last time I use magisk with k20pro_dual speak, with that I get back dual speak fully functional not creaking but the sound still suppressed. I tried audio compatibility patch, audio modification library ,viper4androidfx with k20pro_ dual speak every thing is looking fine and get back to track I tried the option Speaker optimization option in viper4androidfx then again the sound suppressed. I tried to do the same process with system recovery flashing and install all again but when I start viper4androidfx the dual speak stop working and sound comes only from the bottom speak with creaking noise.
Please help me out of this guys.

Hi friends,
I am using Xz3 d6653 with latest LP.28 . I am facing top(upper) speaker problem since 2month.

2. after sound gone low, then few days after that top(upper) speaker Crackling...
I tried all settings including equalizer settings and all the things,, but no solution yet.
Today morning I root my device (First time in my life) and flash "Sound Mod v6.0 - Sony Sound Enhancement" I got Xloud feature, and in call both speaker ringing very well, and stereo speaker loudness good while playing songs or video, notification sound also increased, everything well, I like the Mod, but the problem is still top(upper) speaker crackling (even in low volume).
I want your help to solve out this issue.
btw I have few question related this issue:-
1. can I adjust the bass setting for the speaker?
2. can I adjust any sound setting for independent speaker???
3. what setting can be adjust to solve the crackling sound (amp, sound frequency, bit rate, etc etc..)?????

Normally, if you have a problem with a mod, rom or watever on xda the right thing is to head to it's thread, or the thread you got it from and complain there, you have a better chance of fixing it that way... As someone else there might have had the same problem or better still i fix might have been posted.
Regardless, even tho i havn't tried this mod, i have read in the thread that the said v6.0 has issues as u described and recommendation is people should flash back v5.5 as it was better. Even the OP of the said thread said he will fix in the next update.
Go to the thread here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/development/stereo-speakers-sound-mod-v3-2-z323-0-1-t3015912) and follow up on the discussion. Read the last few pages. Goodluck
As far as I've been reading, it's a common problem on most devices for the crackling on the top speaker when loud, it happened on my first z3, so far it hasn't happened on my current one, I'll test later and see if it does happen and I simply haven't noticed.
Only way I've found to stop it would be to lower the volume. Or if you can somehow get an equalizer app that works system wide, lowering the bass may help.

Thank you @stanley08 . I want to tell you that I had this issue before flash this "Sound Mod v6.0 - Sony Sound Enhancement" Mod. I thought this mod will fix my speaker issue that's why I flashed. Ok I am going to flash v5.5 let see the result...
Thank you friend.. I will let you know soon....
When listening to a WhatsApp Voice Message via earpiece (i.e. proximity sensor) and another message arrives or any other notification, the audio is routed to the louder speaker for few seconds (length of notification audio) then routed back earpiece. So everybody around will hear that audio message.
This is extremely annoying is privacy disaster . Is it happening anyone ? Does anyone know how to solve?
Phone: Xiaomi Mi 5
All roms are affected (even AOSP ROMs)
i face this problem too. i feel that it is not whatsapp's problem but how the firmware handles notifications itself. i may be wrong though
Any thoughts of this guy's?
I have the exact same problem on my Nexus6P for a while. I'm not sure, but I think since I bought it. The same happened to a friend of mine with his Nexus5X. Haven't been able to solve it yet.
My only workaround is to react quickly to take the phone off my ear and resume the audio once the notification ringtone has finished playing.
no luck so far? I wonder how is this tolerated by millions of users? it's quite annoying :crying:
Sound
I got this problem too, but only in LineageOS builds, and I've reported this to the developer of my ROM (Moto G4 Play - Harpia) and he didn't understand the issue. On Pixel Experience ROM there ir no such a problem.
Hi, 2 days ago i did factory reset and rooted my phone, (magisk) and i noticed that sound level of top speaker become weaker(like earpiece speaker sound), when i start music it plays 1 second normal level, and instantly decrease, i installed viper4android it didnt help, i changed to mono or bice verse in accessibility menu but no result, before factoey reset it worked like bottom speaker(loud) , it is not hardware problem
Anybody else?

Just recently upgraded to the new Oxygen OS version 11 (beta) last night. Now all my phone calls are coming over with both speakers working. What's weird is if I choose speaker, the bottom speaker gets louder and the earpiece speaker is off. Yet when I turn speakerphone off, it will still come out the earpiece and bottom firing speaker. Any way to change this? I looked in the setting for over 1/2 hour and nothing. I've all rebooted the phone several times.
Don't want everyone hearing all my phone calls, lol.
Thanks in advance for the help.
Same. Upgraded with latest Beta OTA, and having this exact problem. Someone suggested disabling "Phone Calls" in bluetooth settings for my smartwacth. That did not fix it. I really do not want to start over from scratch right now.
Ugh same here, ever since beta 1. I wish there was a solution other than hoping the next beta fixes it, whenever that may be
Hello!
I've noticed lately that my basic 2 earphones' volume is really low. Before I usually had them at around 70% volume because anything more was too loud. Now I have them on 100% and it's like they are playing on half the volume. My phone is Xiaomi Mi 10T 5G
There have been no recent changes to my device nor it's settings, haven't updated either so it's the same operating system as before (Android version: 11 RKQ1.200836.002) (MIUI Global 12.5.4 Stable)
I also want to mention that my device is unlocked and rooted using this exact guide : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...tom-rom-working-on-xiaomi-mi-10t-pro.4246339/
Things I've tried so far:
Restarting my phone
Restarting the earphones
Hard reseting the earbuds
Reseting all the bluetooth connections on my phone
Changing my Region (I tried USA, India and Andorra. Didn't change anything)
Tried Disabling Absolute Audio (There was no such setting on my developer options)
Tried changing the Bluetooth Codec (As soon as I scrolled down a bit it was reseting to "System Default")
Volume Booster Apps (They make the sound terrible and still the volume is not as high as originally)
MIUI's Sound Optimization (Adjust sound to earphones made the sound slightly better but didn't change the volume at all)
I also thoroughly cleaned the earbuds (To make sure there wasn't anything physically blocking them) as well as my ears (To make sure I wasn't losing my hearing)
I really can't understand why or how this happened and I can't seem to find a working solution no matter what... I really need your help on this one!
I don't mind tinkering with my phone and it's settings so any solution and I mean ANY solution would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much for your time !
I fixed my mi 10 5g low speaker volume issue, u should give it a try by calibration of speakers
In settings>about phone>all specs, click on kernal version 5 times or more to open cit settings
Here u can test speakers, but to re calibrate click on 3 dots menu and goto additional setting find "calibrate speaker PA"

It worked. In my case, I headed to Bluetooth and ran the CIT test. It disconnected and on reconnecting, voilĂ ! It worked. Thanks man
I tried everything, nothing worked. Turned out that earphones turn up volume by long tapping on earphone touch area.
Had the same issue with my Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro. Turned out, the buds have their own volume control (set to 50% by default), which must be assigned to double/triple taps via Xiaomi Earbuds app. By default, there was no way of controlling this "earphone-internal" volume. And the phone control operated within the 0%-50% range. Strange indeed.
