Hello. I want to clean install lastest stable global OxygenOS firmware. I tried to install OxygenOS via flashing on TWRP but OS seems like buggy with this method. (Wiped everything before install on TWRP including System, Vendor etc.)

I have a Moto g3 (osprey) with Android 6.0.1 and CyanogenMod version 13.0-20160927-NIGHTLY-osprey.
Obviously previous owner did not keep up to date installing the received updates.
When I attempt to install the oldest update it does not complete successfully. I get the Android character with red in stomach
.Upon rebooting it does so to current version.
What would be the best way with fewest steps to bring this phone's cyanogenMod up to date?
Thanks in advance
Jerry
That version is almost a year old... and it sounds like you don't have TWRP installed.
Install TWRP via fastboot, download latest LOS ROM and gapps, start TWRP, wipe system and caches, flash ROM and gapps.
Be aware that such a large jump might require a clean install, meaning you need to wipe all your data and installed applications.
guys, i have a little confusion:
What's the correct procedure for reinstall the stock OOS from a custom rom and the procedure for change custom rom to another one?
i ask this because every time i try i brick the phone. (so msmntool and lose internal storage)
my latest experiment:
i was on Havoc, rooted and blue_twrp
full wiped (cache's, data and system)
installed Full 9.0 OTA+ twrp on slot A
rebooted to twrp
installed again Full 9.0 OTA+ twrp on slot B
installed magisk
rebooted to system...
keep boot on recovery and also i canno't decrypt sdcard because twrp doesn't ask me the pin....
someone suggested to me to format data, but i don't want to lose my internal storage anytime...
help?
The best thing to do to avoid all of thi bs is to follow this guide:

You dont have to flash the rom to both the slots. Just make a clean flash without format data.
First of all, Stay Encrypted
Now from custom rom to Oxygen OS make a clean flash so follow the below:
Must Use Bluspark TWRP
1. Wipe Dalvik, System, Data & Cache
2. Flash the Full OxygenOS Rom Full Zip (Links available on my threads Beta or Stable Pie)
3. Flash the TWRP installer Zip
4. Reboot to RECOVERY to make sure TWRP stays and continue to root.
5. Flash Magisk Stable to maintain root (Avoid Beta)
6. Reboot System and Enjoy the latest firmware without any data loss
Make sure you follow above and also make sure:
1. Use Bluspark TWRP
2. Move from Pie To Pie / Pie to Oreo or Oreo to Pie might require a format.
Similarly follow the same if you want to move from Oxygen OS to Custom Rom, check the rom thread if the developer needs you to flash anything extra or firmware files.
Hope the above helps :good:

Hi, hoping a kind soul out there will help to confirm a few things about moving to Android 10 from Android 9
I haven't bothered keeping my phone up to date for around a year, and I'm just looking into updating to stock OOS 10 for now.
I'm currently rooted with TWRP & Magisk running an old Android 9 custom ROM, and there seems to be a bit of confusion around TWRP and updating to android 10. I'm looking to completely format the phone, not worried about loss of data as I'll just restore titanium backups, so my plan is this to get a clean install with TWRP + Magisk+Gapps:
1) Reboot to current bluspark TWRP, Flash OOS 10.3.0, Flash twrp-3.3.1-16 mauronofrio installer.zip, Reboot to recovery
2) Flash OOS 10.3.0, Flash twrp-3.3.1-16 mauronofrio installer, flash Magisk 20.3, flash GApps arm64 10.0 nano, reboot to system & enjoy.
This was always my normal update process so i'm pretty comfortable with this way if it will work.
Can anyone confirm if this will cause issues due to TWRP not working properly with android 10 when i preform my first reboot to recovery? My thinking is that if I flash it after installing android 10 then any issues caused by android 10 should be fixed, is this correct?
Thanks!
There is no confusion at all.
Everything is clear since months ago that 10.3 was released.
Upgrade firstly to the latest 9.x Rom, then flash the latest TWRP and then u are ready for flashing 10.3 and latest magisk.

ok, so I have to go to OOS 9.09 with twrp-3.3.1-16-enchilada-Pie-mauronofrio, before upgrading to 10..3.0 & twrp-3.3.1-16-enchilada-Q-mauronofrio, even if I want to just do a full wipe and start fresh on 10.3.0?

This is the latest TWRP: twrp-3.3.1-x_blu_spark_v9.108_op6
The rest has already been discussed.

I was trying to revert to stock ROM and re-root.
I've tried installing the latest Oxygen stock ROM via TWRP after a format. After initial setup prompts the phone has started encrypted.
I've also tried installing via the fastboot stock ROM. Same thing happens.
Obviously, this doesn't allow me to install Magisk among other things.
Is there a way to prevent the phone from encrypting after a fresh stock ROM install?
I have been struggling to install Pixel Experience Android 12 on my Poxo X3 NFC.
I had PE Android 11 before. When I tried to flash Android 12 I get following error
assert failed: update_dynamic_partition(package_extract_file("dynamic_partition_op_list"))
Updater process ended with ERROR: 1
Error installing zip file ...
What I tried
1, Install latest firmware
2. Format Data
3. Wipe data, dalvik, cache
3. Sideloading Custom Rom
Can someone help me to revive my device please?
Thanks a lot
Hello, on my wife's X3NFC I had to flash the latest Full ROM (12.5.7) via Fastboot.
Then I was able to install the lA12 PE. I don't know why I had to do this, but it worked.
She didn't like A12 PE and now A11 PE is running again on her Phone
Maybe (I heard about that) it works too, if you only flash the super.img from latest Fastboot-Image via Recovery.

I installed MIUI fastboot rom. Then I tried to flash PE A12 rom without any issues. But after successful completion, phone reboots to bootloader (Fastboot). Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?
Can you please give me steps to install PE after you've installed MIUI fastboot rom?
1st installed latest MIUI via MiFlash
Booting successful into MIUI
Flashing TWRP in Fastboot-Mode
Booting into TWRP, install ROM, wipe Caches and format data.
Reboot Phone
