My apologies in advanced if this question has been broached recently on this platform (or if I'm in posting to the incorrect forum).
I have the Verizon Retail Edition of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (SMN910VZKE). Thus far, I'm seeing root is available for Develeper Edition (SMN910VMKE) only. I'm hopeful that an exploit has been discovered that will, happily and at long last, enable rooting of the retail edition.
Shall I hold out hope or, sadly, abandon it?
Thank you all in advance!!

That's a pretty large thread regarding rooting the VZW Note 4 Retail.
TL ; DR version is that root HAS been achieved. However this Samsung and Verizon have incorporated a write protection that makes root temporary. Once the device is rebooted, root disappears.

Ty,BN. Wiping root on reboot renders rooting device fruitless - at least for my purposes. Well, I've learned my lesson. Will be far more careful in future when choosing my next smartphone / tablet purchase.
Ty again for your contribution and for the link. :good:
Cheers!
Can Someone Help Me Unlock My Sprint Note 5? I've been trying to get it unlocked for weeks and I've had it for a month and had no luck.

galaxy note 5 unlock
I'm trying to do the same thing as in being able to unlock the galaxy note 5 via sprint. what is the best route to do so?
Your all talking about unlocking these Note 5's. I am assuming carrier unlocking. If so, which verizon Wireless bands do they work on if any at all? And can any one confirm it for a fact? And yes, I have done serched. And have found zero hard evidence to my question.
Hello. I am thinking of upgrading my Verizon Samsung S5. What would be a good choice to upgrade to where I can unlock the bootloader and have root access? Thanks in advance.
Read Muniz_ri's update and keep root thread and the unlock bootloader thread. There's plenty of information in these threads without making a thread that these topics are already discussed in....lol. if you have the eMMC 15 chip then you can unlock your device. Happy ROM'n
Sorry about cross posting. A mod can delete my other thread. I didn't realize there was a Q & A forum.
I'm just looking to see if there has been any development on rooting and flashing for this model.
From what I have read I cannot.
Just looking for some one to confirm that the bootloader is still blocking everything.
Carrier is Verizon
SM=P905V
Android 5.1.1
Stock tablet, never been hacked.
Thanks in advance. I'm needing to know this due to a dispute I am having with big V.
Anyone?????????
I have been away from the community since about the Note 10+ due to the impossible chance of rooting the Snap variations at the time. I am wondering if this has been remedied? Is true root still possible on Snapdragon chips? Are awesome ROMs still be developed if so? Is TWRP still a useful and usable tool In this day and age? I'm glad to be back to the community today and I'm desperately hoping that good news will follow in this thread.
Thanks for having me back.
Depends what device and what bootloader version the device is on. Its a paid service now

Really? How do you go about paying? And do you need to pay to access the area where the Mod ROMs would be? So for example, I have a US ATT Snapdragon Galaxy S22 Ultra. From what I see there is no Modded ROMs for it but I do think I saw a root method. So would I need to pay to access a area where Mod ROMs would be?
You need to pay $150 (IIRC) to have your bootloader unlocked.

He's discussing the US model, which is bootloader locked. The root method you posted is for the B and E models, not the U.
