Unfortunately, OP3 has no aptX license...
Unfortunately, CM roms have no aptX support...
Until now.
The whole aptX codec support is already present in Qualcomm Bluetooth stack, in Nougat... We need only some proprietary drivers to activate it.
... and I've found that libraries in a Moto Z factory images.

Check it in logcat...
Here's the related log in CM:
Selected Codec aptX
If I remember well, it logs SBC in same way...
This is incredible if it works properly!
Has anyone tried in open beta 9?
seems to Works on OB9 further testing required, great find
Wow, this site with that amount of adds is almost unusable... Took me 5 minutes and maybe few MB spend on loading adds to download 140 KB zip file.
Anyway, good work. I'm waiting for my Bluetooth earphones and I'll test this when I get them in my hands Thanks.
Wow! Awesome work mate.

Does this port work with stock Roms, or is it even needed? I'm new to OnePlus devices, so bare with me, if this is a ridiculous question.

The libraries inside the zip are from android 7.0.0 and probably they will work on any 7+ rom including stock (ob8 and 9). If you have a Bluetooth device that supports aptX(like head/ear-phones) you might want to try it, if you don't have, then you don't need it
I should receive my earphones today, so I'll test this on OB9(already installed and it seems that aptX is correctly loaded based on the logcat). Will report later how it's going.
Using Meizu EP51 and open beta 9. It seems working . Very interesting.
I can confirm that aptX is working on OB9. Attached screenshot from the log with turning off and back on the Bluetooth and playing music after that (where the codec get initialized). Nice find and work OP, thanks again
Seems that it is working properly. I just check it on the cm 14.1 nightly (dec 18) with my meizu ep 51. Find a few rows in the logcat. I would like to attach screens from logcat, but i don't know how to do it (=
Instead of just looking at the Logcat to confirm working (a good way to check I admit),
Do you guys notice an improvement to sound quality? I mean, that is the Whole point of apt-x codec.....Much higher bitrate and such.

I Just downloaded a few songs in flac and listening it now. A quality is really awesome. I am really feel the difference
i was really excited until i realized that none of my devices support AptX (Pioneer head unit, jaybirds, and lots of other BT headphones/speakers)
It's seems that aptX(HD) is already included in A.R.I.S.E., so for those that use it, most probably you don't need this
P.s. - I'm telling this just for information, no disrespect for the creator
P.s. 2 - Little off topic, but if someone know for a way to see the battery stats of the bt set, please PM me (it works on IOS natively...). Thanks.

Apt-x HD codec is already included to xperia x performance, but different filename. (You need to rename it from *int* to *rel*) But unfortunately, I have no clue, is it working or not... (The key functions are present) If somebody has apt-x hd headset/speaker, i could attach that lib as well for try...
Go ahead, I'm sure somebody will profit from the given HD codec.

My point was that the arise users don't need to flash this (it may lead to some issues maybe, because of the different aptX codecs in the system). Anyway, I'm almost sure that aptXHD is backward compatible with the aptX and it picks the right codec depending on the paired device, so your idea to make another zip with the HD libs is good and if it works on aptX(without HD) device you can abandon your first one
P.s. - For some strange reason arise write different logd binary and now my logcat isn't working even after manually replace it with the stock one... So I can't see if the HD one work on my aptX earphones (no difference in the sound with your zip that I've tested before that, so it might work).
If you need I can extract them from the zip to test them too?
Unfortunatly The Mix 2s seems to have very, very bad audio recording quality.
See the review of TechTablets:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLbYuLW7gbw
What I don't understand, the issue of bad audio quality is there for many Xiaomi devices.
Is then no-one testing this at Xiaomi ? These bad reviews will have negative impact on sales.
And most of the time the fix is easy.
The Mix 2 also suffers from the same issue:
And same issue for Mi Max 2: http://en.miui.com/thread-730427-1-1.html
Some suggested workarounds, hopefully they also work on the Mix 2s:
- https://www.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/comments/6txqjt/i_discovered_something_about_the_mi_max_2s_poor/
- http://en.miui.com/thread-965057-1-1.html
Hopefully Xiami will fix this very soon, it will bring them more sales i think.
Anyone any ideas on how to fix this on the Mix 2s ? (hope to receive mine in 2 weeks )
I think if you sell a phone so much cheaper than other companys you have to make the cut somewhere... If they use a mic that costs 2$ more in production it's already 200000$ if they produce 100000 units
This is a deal breaker for me, as I mainly record videos...
Too bad I was about to buy it in China next week...

According to most reviews it's something that can be fixed with software update by xiaomi so maybe you are lucky

I really hope it can be fixed with a software update... the mic quality sounds poor and I was let down since I regularly call. Overall the phone ticks everything I want.
One substitution I discovered is to use Open Camera App. In video setting, select 'default audio source' in audio source option and 'stereo' in audio source channel option. I tried this setting on my Mi Mix 2s MIUI 9 and it works so much better than the default camera app.

Hi, could you post a sample video?
I've read about people trying to fix this problem in the same way with the Mi Mix 2 but it didn't work at the time. A comparison between the two input sources would be great to understand better the difference. Thanks.

Huge difference,
Currently use open camera in my OnePlus One ...and waiting for Mix 2S to arrive in ~10 days, so I guess I'll keep using open camera
Anyone know if the poor audio quality when recording videos is fixed in the MIUI 10 beta?
So this is a software bug for sure?
I dont have issue's anymore i am on 8.8.16 (Miui 10/Android 9) rom which at the moment is still in closed beta.

Could you possibly post some samples of audio recorded with stock camera app on 8.8.16 if it is fixed?

Hi I have made a comparison with my other phone (samsung note 9). Surprisingly, the mix2s sounds better. Running MIUI 10 Stable Global.
Hello,
I would like to draw on the subject, I can confirm the same problem with MI A2.
I came to the solution using Open Camera:
audio source: external mic
audio channel: mono
I've tried the solutions described in this topic, but without success and then I accidentally found a pretty good solution.
Greetings from Croatia
When the dedicated gcam port for redmi note 7 pro will be available????
Currently many note 7 pro users are using nokia 7s gcam port!
Found that Mi9 port works on 7 Pro.
https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-xtrme/
Posted here o Xiaomi.eu.
Not tested myself yet.
Here is the Redmi Note 7/ 7 Pro Gcam Port
celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-others/#apk786
follow the screenshots for change settings
tested myself working perfectly
Have you tried it on redmi note 7 pro?
On Chinese version of Note 7 Pro, I tested Arnova8G2 Advanced 1.4 and xtrme's xcam6_beta3. Photo, 4K video and nightshot. Both works fine.
One thing I noticed is that colors look muted, very muted. I increased Highlight and Shadow saturation value from 1.0, 1.6 to 1.4, 2.0. I am still trying to find the right value that matches previous Xiaomi phones.

I also experienced the muted colors on gcam although they looked fine in the viewfinder, it appears to be the case only with the processed photo. I managed to fix some of that by enabling Pixel 3 AWB, auto exposure (use camera2api) and setting hdr+ parameters to 15, maybe try that. Do note that I do not have the Chinese 7 pro though.

Use portrait mode and disable zoom in portrait mode from gcam settings. All photos captured in portrait mode are default 48MP.

To update the stock camera is a big NO,to change the stock camera is easy use Gcam or AMX camera(has a similar interface to stock camera ).
Dear Friends
I am an owner of Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro (known as Xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro on China market). I would like to use Gimbal for this smartphone to record stable footage 4K60.
I would like to ask, if someone used this smartphone or similar with the size, weight and camera location with: Hohem iSteady X2 or V2?
I have tested it with DJI Osmo Mobile 4 for a few days and everything is OK, but I would like to try with Hohem Gimbals, which I mentioned earlier.
What I need to know is:
1. Camera location of Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro / Xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro is in the upper-center/middle of the cover. My question is, will Gimbals arm or any element will be visible in the video footage in such case?
2. The same question as above, but related with Inception Effect (auto spinning). In the end of Inception Effect (auto spinning) there is a moment, when Gimbals arm or element may be visible in the video footage, but I have seen only YouTube reviews with smartphones, which have got theirs cameras location on the upper-left side of the cover. Is in Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro / Xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro, which has got different location of cameras (upper-center/middle), will give a chance that there will be no Gimbals arm or element visible in the video footage on Inception Effect?
3. Hohem Pro app doesn't support 4K30, so I will need to use FiLMiC Pro or Native application to record 4K60 video footage. My question is, does physical buttons of Gimbal like D-Pad, Change Mode Button, Record Button will work while not using dedicated Hohem Pro application?
4. The same question as above, but related with Hohem iSteady X2 with Bluetooth Remote, will those buttons work, while not using dedicated Hohem Pro application? I will use 1.50 metre long Monopad with Gimbal, so I need a solution to control Gimbal from distance.
5. Hohem iSteady X2 and V2 are exactly the same Gimbals in the matter of build (size, materials, weight), stabilization, motors? The main difference is AI Tracking in V2 and Remote Bluetooth in X2, everything else is the same?
I would be glad for your help and support. Thank you in advance for your time.
Sincerely
