Hello ... Anyone who has tried to go from ob3 to stable 11.0.1.1 and after doing local update until the apk has been executed and has not deleted data?
Switching from beta to stable will wipe your data, backup everything through oneplus switch and transfer it to your pc

hey guys, is there any way i can restore all apps and data after upgrading from latest stable oxygen to android p beta (and a wipe that follows the upgrade)? not sure if oneplus switch backup function does the job or what about TWRP backup? my device is not rooted btw.
thanks!
DId you take a backup in TWRP before flashing to P?
If you did you may be able to boot into TWRP and restore just Data and reboot, you should still be on P but have all your apps and data available.
There was no wipe the last time I upgraded from stock to p beta. It upgraded it just fine.
Is there a way to upgrade / downgrade from OOS OB3 to Stable 10.0.1 without wiping?

Nope, unless you are unencrypted. Just backup your data and wipe

You can try, but it's all you. Be sure to have a backup done before progressing. This was done on OB2, so no guarantees.

It worked without any data loss ?
Data partition unencrypted and storage encrypted.
undo all magisk modules
reboot to twrp (latest)
flash stable 10.0.1
flash twrp
reboot into twrp
flash magisk
reboot system
Hey guys!
I'm currently running the open beta 2 of OxygenOS11 and saw that the stable version just got released.
I usually use Oxygen Updater to get updates, but how do you switch from beta to stable?
Is a full reset needed?
Oxygen updater also doesn't show any updates (under the different options like full update, beta, incremental, etc), so not sure how to switch to stable in the first place...
There's a "revert to stock" zip data on the OnePlus Forum for the beta releases, this zip is the only one to get back to stable without any pc or something, you just have to install that zip (it will format data) that will bring you back to stable and from there you have to install the new Android 11 stable update. And no there is no way to keep data. You can make backup's, that's it
I just installed the Global OnePlus 8 11 Stable build from XDA over my OOS B2. Didn't bother with going back to stock. It did reset the device, but it worked just fine.

Full disclosure: This is a T-Mobile device I had previously "converted" to Global.

I used the "local upgrade" option and installed right over beta 2. I use magisk, flashed to inactive slot after that. Everything seems to be working just fine now

By reset to you mean it won't wipe the data?

Yes it does wipe data going from ob2 to stable.. also I couldn't get magisk to work in inactive slot without flashing extracted boot.img again.. but works so all good
Hello. I want to clean install lastest stable global OxygenOS firmware. I tried to install OxygenOS via flashing on TWRP but OS seems like buggy with this method. (Wiped everything before install on TWRP including System, Vendor etc.)
Hello
I want to flash stable rom OOS11, I still have Beta 3 with Magisk root but no TWRP
What are the steps to flash stable OOs?
I saw it needs factory reset but how to do it and flash the rom if I don't have TWRP?
As far as I know, until last night, OnePlus had pulled the "stable" version of OOS11 d/t multiple bugs. You might wait until a stable version is released which should be coming soon.
FYI: When you install OOS over the beta version , your device will be wiped during the post-install reboot.
