VIPER4Android not processing YouTube Vanced. - OnePlus 8 Questions & Answers

As the title says, my OP8 with V4A is not processing YTV.
I have tried to look for solutions but i'm at a loss.
I have the 2.7.2.1 module.
After flashing i back out and open the V4A app.
In there it asks me for root and i give it,
then it says that no driver was found so i press ok to the download now prompt.
then i reboot.
Spotify works great and any other app as well.
I'm on Android 11 with Magisk 21005. YouTube Vanced is 15.40.37.

Put ViPER4Android in Legacy Mode under settings, as shown here.

I used the nonroot version on my S8+ and switched to the magisk module ever since I got my 5T.
Works great on OOS Oreo beta2
I've used the iYTBP as well for a long time. Unfortunately the Open Beta 2 upgrade broke the Picture in Picture functionality and I had to disable it from the iYTBP menu. Background playback works but PiP will cause the system ui to force close immediately. I've tried uninstalling the magisk module and removing all youtube related. Then I dirty flashed the OB2 and installed the iYTBP in the old way. Any ideas what to do next? It seems the Picture in Picture is working for you guys?

Works for me.
You may need to update the module.
I had to toggle PIP for YouTube off then back on though.
Try that and see if it works for you.

Toggle pip and try clearing cache and data of YouTube along with disabling and enabling it back to get original app
Turns out I had pressed hide button in Magisk manager so that the system ui couldn't see iYTB. That was causing the system ui to force close when in PiP mode. (I've hidden the magisk root from all the apps that doesn't need it. My banking application detects root if some mysterious process that I haven't figured out has root access.)

OnePlus 6 with Magisk Modules

So I ran into a bootloop today all of the sudden. All I did was trying to install the Youtube Vanced magisk module.
When I rebooted my phone, the Youtube Vanced app was not installed, but it showed up in the Magisk modules list.
So, I rebooted again and ran into a bootloop which forced me into wiping my phone and start from scratch.
Anyone else have problems with modules?
OxygenOS 5.1.5, stock recovery, just Magisk 16.4 installed

Did you bloc the update of the original YouTube app ?
I only activated VoEnabler, figured i'd wait with mods lile viper for when i have twrp and can do a backup first...
We should use this thread to make a list with mods people got working
In this case :
- YouTube vanced ( working !)
- cloudfare DNS ( working !)
- Sony music ( working !)
Stock recovery oos 5.1.5
?
Youtube vanced worked fine for me. Be sure to uninstall the YouTube app first.
I gave it another shot, this is what I did:
1. Uninstalled Youtube with System Apps uninstaller
2. Installed Youtube Vanced module
3. Reboot
No YouTube App installed -.-
Now I am afraid to delete the module or reboot the phone.
Youtube Vanced works fine for me. Installed it over the original app without any issues. Of course, update has to be blocked.
Further more:
- Ainur Auron
- Audio Modification Library
- Dolby Atmos Black ´n Cheese Edition
- Viper4Android Fx for Magisk v15
- Xposed Framework (SDK 27)
I had issues with Magisk going missing after a while, but now everything is fine.

Youtube Vanced won't install on OP6

Hey there,
I've tried installing Youtube Vanced a couple of times on my OP6 but to no avail so I would like some help from you guys!
I"m following this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-youtube-vanced-edition-t3758757
This are the steps I'm doing:
Download the ytva-universal-installer-v3.0.zip
Download the White/Dark arm64-v8a.apk from the "Rooted downloads" section
Move both the .zip and .apk to my phone
Boot into TWRP
Install the ytva-universal-installer-v3.0.zip
Reboot system
Auto-updates have been disabled in the playstore.
Youtube has been unistalled from my phone.
I've recreated these steps with the armeabi-v7a .apk, but that did not work either.
Downloading and installing it within Magisk did not work either.
Am I doing something wrong? I'd like your help.
Thank you in advance.

Hey, Simply use magisk just uninstall all version of YouTube and install modules via magisk [emoji6]
Envoyé de mon ONEPLUS A6003 en utilisant Tapatalk
I installed it as a module in magisk. Reboot. Done. Everything working?
I downloaded the apk version and the universal installer and the "ytva_use_this_settings.sh".
then, i edited the config file to detach youtube from the playstore (so i can get rid of the update notification).
Then just used magisk to flash the zip installer

Viper4Android

Anyone got Viper working? I've installed the material one from here, audio compatibility patch etc but it doesn't seem to do anything?
I loaded some profiles into the folders and the app also crashes when I try and load one
About to test that right now.
Use the one in Magisk called Viper4Android FX not the legacy.
This one works for me.
Have been using it since day 1 after installing Magisk. Has been working, the same as the 6T.
yes here is a magisk module of VIPER4Android 2.7.1.0 magisk module i made based on APK so no other special things needed.
Just open app and it will ask for root and install drivers... will auto reboot and done...
download
Has anyone got a profile pack that works with this one?

Hi,
Thank you for the module you have created. I am attempting to use this on my op7p, but it does not appear to enable. I am rooted and used magisk to install the zip, then rebooted, then ran the program to install the driver. The profiles folder for viper is loaded to the root directory. Running audio on my Bluetooth headphones defaults to Dolby Atmos "balanced" mode, which I cannot disable without toggling audio sources. It seems to default into thinking they are wired speakers until I toggle between speakers and Bluetooth. After this, I can disable Atmos processing, but still no luck enabling viper. Additionally, attempting to enable the higher quality codecs in Dev options never takes, they seem to revert to system default as soon as I exit the menu.
Running viper shows "driver enabled: no", and "processing: no". Did I mess up a step of the installation, or is something missing from magisk/viper?

try to go to settings > Attach Audio effects and enable and then disable (while music is playing to see if you can tell a difference)
Hi, thank you for the quick reply. Toggling audio effects doesn't appear to have any audible differences, but if it is on, the status goes to "abnormal" and the audio format is unsupported.
Toggling master limiter enables/disabled driver status, and apparently my music player (pulsar) is not supported or recognized by viper. Using YouTube vanced I am showing that viper is indeed processing, and I can tell what is working or not. Looks like it's time to find another media player :fingers-crossed:
Do I need to do anything to the inbuilt Dolby before installing the V4A mod?
Thank you
Yes mate, go into settings for V4A and enable effects and master limiter. Then change song and you should be good to go. Also, go into the V4A folder. Move all of the files in the DDC-Orig folder and create a new folder called DDC and move the files into there. Now you should be able to use the profiles
I had to install the magisk modual first and then install the apk version from xda labs before it would work.
It now works on Spotify but not on other apps like bandcamp.
I got it working on my oneplus 7 pro by following this video on YouTube.

Viper4Android Not Able to Install OB12

The thread title says it all. Does anyone know why V4A won't install properly on OB 12? If you install the drivers and reboot, it just asks you to do it all over again on reboot.
Install busybox with magisk, try use v4a legacy version. Try different v4a versions

I discovered the culprit for this. It's AML ( audio modification library) it's simply not compatible with v4a on the newest one plus firmware. As soon as I removed a AML, viper installed
On latest Oxygeon OS 10.3.4 having issues installing ViPER4Android legacy from Magisk.
It keeps asking to reinstall the driver....succeed, reboot...and back to the same message to reinstall the driver.
Does anyone have it working? What did you do?
ViPER4Android 2.7.1 install and Tasker automation
Managed to install the latest ViPER4Android 2.7.1 on Oxygen OS 10.3.4.
Installed the APK which creates a Magisk module and you can then update it from there.
You can find the latest version here: https://labs.xda-developers.com/store/app/com.pittvandewitt.viperfx
Driver installs with no issues and seems to work fine though all profiles got converted to the new format it uses in 2.7.1
Tasker automation also broke since the app commands changed to kill/reload it. For anyone interested, these are the new shell commands to use in Tasker to automate bluetooth profile switching in Tasker.
Code:
cp /sdcard/Android/data/com.pittvandewitt.viperfx/files/Preset/Headphone1/bt_a2dp.xml /data/data/com.pittvandewitt.viperfx/shared_prefs/bt_a2dp.xml
killall process.ViPER4Android
am start -n com.pittvandewitt.viperfx/com.pittvandewitt.viperfx.MainActivity
Launch app: Spotify
Run each as root. Repeat for each device you want it to switch settings for. These actions are activated when a bluetooth headset connects.
