So I actually have a Tmobile OP8 that I converted to global running the latest global Android 11...I'm curious if it will ever support 5g standalone for use with tmobile. I'm not in any hurry since it looks like people on the tmobile firmware have had issues but wonder if it will be added to the global software

hi all,
will be another OP7 with modem that support all needed bands for USA att and tmo?
I know that PRO supports it, but I'm interesting in OP7 none PRO.
in a way I'd like to have 60hz display which isn't curved that OP7 has
however, without all needed bands it will be no go for me in USA
anyone know if there will be USA specific OP7? and when?
I just ordered a OnePlus 7 global from banggood. As far as I can tell it should support all the att bands fine. Does it not support the tmob? I'd be a little upset if that were the case but even the official OnePlus Twitter said the op7 will work on usa lte bands.

Sure. But as it is banggood shipping it's likely to be a few weeks.
I am using Oneplus 7(GM1900 china version) with T-Mobile. I am very happy with the phone. It supports almost all the bands except the newest ones (66 and 71). I am getting VoWifi and VoLTE on this phone. Wifi calling from T-mobile also works like a charm.
I think, it supports all ATT LTE bands. I tried H20 sim in it and I am getting LTE. I do not have a att sim to try it out. But H20 runs on ATT and I think ATT also will be working perfect.
I can't get Network Signal Guru to work when rooted and standalone 5G does not seem to be working after changing my T-Mobile OP8 to global firmware.
I imagine the T-Mobile stand alone 5g is strictly on T-Mobile firmware.
I was wondering if there was custom rom support for this device? Its the Sprint Model but I converted it to the international build.
I'm pretty sure there isn't I bought it recently and considering selling it. I've tried flashing it with Pixel experience and YAAP but it just won't give it won't work because the 5g models have x50 chips (separately installed from SoC) and the non 5g models don't so many Devs don't support it as it is also labelled under a separate model number GM1920 for OP 7 pro 5g ee (UK) also which is how it is detected. And apparently it's quite difficult to implement and therefore hasn't yet been implemented.
Good morning all,
I purchased the KB2000 for the aesthetic look of the phone. Being a big Cyberpunk 2077 fan (and all things 'futuristic') I decided to get the phone knowing that things such as 5G was going to be a big maybe.
Well to my suprise, 5G is not functional. I get mixed answers that the phone OOB supports all bands and that OnePlus simply disabled them, others (like my understanding) say it's all hardware and cannot be 'added' by software fixes. I tried some of the fixes posted, but not knowing much about OnePlus I'm thinking its a fault on my part.
I went from using HOS ('5G'), OOS ('5G'), Pure Pixel (LTE+), to Paranoid Android (LTE+). While on HOS and OOS I would get a 5G icon, however, when I would go to check the network status (*#*#4636#*#*) I see NR: NOT_Restricted Connected: LTE, where as when I change to Paranoid Android that Not Restricted changed to Restricted..
I am very new to OnePlus and would like to know, can bands be 'enabled' on this phone? Currently using this phone on the AT&T network with 5G access (AT&T Unlimited Elite plan)
Thanks!
Frequency bands are hardware features just like wifi or Bluetooth. The Chinese OnePlus 8t (KB2000) does not include US 5g frequency bands. KB2005 and KB2007 include the bands for TMobile 5g. None of the 8t versions include the bands for AT&T 5g.
I plan on rooting/unlocking but not flashing any roms. Currently on HTC U11 unlocked/rooted and it's time to move on.
On tmobile, is the OP8t for tmobile packed with bloatware or are there significant packages installed for optimized use with tmo? Is global variant just a cleaner version?
Global version has dual sim tmo does not and you can't enable it i tried , also some bands don't work but you probably will not have issues there i'm from eu
