Battery Life on Oxygen OS 11 Stable - OnePlus 8 Questions & Answers

Ever since I updated to Oxygen OS 11 Stable, my battery life has dropped drastically. I hardly get 5 hours of Screen On Time, and I was wondering if others have the same issue.
Do share your battery life stats here.
Thanks!

Usually I don't use it that long, so I took 6. Oct., Using Android 11 Beta 2

I did a full factory reset/wipe after the update.
I also wipe cache everytime a small update comes out.
For me battery life is a bit better with OOS 11.
I get around 10-11h of screen on time

It was pretty much the same I guess, 10-11h SoT.
Maybe I just have a placebo with OOS 11.
I'll attach my latest battery stat:

Screen draining battery

For some reason today, my battery is being drained by my screen. I turned the brightness down a few hours ago, but it still drank the juice like koolaid. I've never had to adjust screen brightness on this phone before, just left it on automatic. Seems kinda odd.
The only changes have been deodex framework/system and extended power menu.

If you just deodexed the drain is probably from the cache being rebuilt. I'm not sure if that shows in the battery screen as what can be draining it. Or if the system logs it as the screen draining the battery since no apps are running

This... plus, the screen is always going to be the worst suckor of your battery. At least it is for me!
That's just what colorboost is about. That's why Moto switched back to Super Amoled in the latest lineup phones.

Yes! I went from 4.5 hrs of on screen to the same as above 7.5! Can we say SCORE!!!
I did the update (30mb) late last night, so its a bit too early to tell.
But I do hope that you are right.
This is what I go so far after the update.
Can't complain. It was fine before though.
How many apps do you guys have installed and do you use packagedisabler pro or are you rooted
Seems to be improved. Which blows me away for an android device since i was getting nearly 30 hours between charging before.

I downloaded the fastboot one, got checksum error on extraction. If anyone can confirm if the download files is okay?
The android will be surely 5.0

Is there still heating and battery draining issues?

Both are solved as far as I think. Battery lasts a day with mild usage. Doesn't get heated by WhatsApp and browsing. Might get heated with games.

Low Batterylife with the S8+ ?

Hello everyone,
Since a few days, I am the proud owner of a Galaxy S8+ ( International Version with Exynos Processor ) and the device is great but I am not very satisfied with the batterylife of it.
I get about 3 hours of SOT and I wanted to ask if that's normal? Because I have read in lot's of reviews that the SOT should be about 5 hours.
I have the latest software installed and also made a factory reset after the update.
Greetings
Michael

Something is very wrong
With the + u should get much more even if heavy user...im intermediate user and get between 6-8 SOT easily. I would try a reset then return it if still the same.
Edit: I see u tried a reset... then I recommend returning it for a replacement.
i have the snapdragon version/unlocked/stock, and i get an average 6+ hrs of SoT (8+ when not gaming heavily - i've been playing Titan Quest on this everyday, sometimes for hours), so i would guess an app you installed is misbehaving.
I disable AOD and the problem of low battery life is gone, try that.

Strange battery behaviour

When I use the phone the percentage only drops in 30s multiples or 1s close to that.
Is this how it's supposed to be? I've never seen something like this before.

Who's got that battery? 1 hour sot in 10 minutes? That's what I need. The better I get is 40 min while watching videos. The issue is the percentage drop seems locked and the better I get is 5h sot without playing any games, only using social apps like Twitter/Instagram and setting FH+ screen. I already wiped, installed the less amount of apps I could, updated to the last firmware and nothing has really changed.
