Root sm-530nu - Galaxy Tab 4 General

I know this might be obvious for some of you, but couldn't find clear references, and don't want to brick my device.
Are there instructors available somewhere?
Thanks,
S

Root and restoring for noobs?

Hey everyone,
I am helping create a website that will provide a collection of files and instructions that would be available to help all of us in the community since we all know that files sometimes can be elusive. Currently we only have the droid x up and set up. You can see it here:
www.droidfiles.us
What I would like to ask you guys is could you possibly provide me with instructions on how to root and restore (with the files needed hopefully) so that I could make this for you guys so that the noobs and people looking for how to root. I do have a very close friend with the thunderbolt that I helped root and flash telsa coil and I am just looking for recent instructions.
Thank you for all the help
Anybody at all? What I am looking for are instructions on how to root and unroot.
This will just be basic instructions for a collection of devices on how to root/unroot to get noobs started off

And DroidXcon has made the process really simple...

Or from XDA...

Or straight from jcase...

Not trying to be a smart*ss and I laud your efforts to have everything on site to help the noobs. The info is out there and you just need to find it...
If used, just please make sure to give proper credit :-D
Thanks a bunch. And I will always give credit where it is due

A work in progress: self help brick recovery guide

So we have all seen numerous brick threads all over in the captivate sections right? Some people don't even know the difference between soft and hard brick. Plus their only so many possibilities of how to unbrick a brick. This is a problem right?
So a solution that i have come up with is sort of a self help guide (an attached pdf for now). It is not complete yet, but it gives you a general feel of how it should work.
If you have any opinions of what you think should be added, changed, remove or this is just a waste of time please post them. As I hope this guide will become a tool to help other and i want to make as good as I can. Plus it could help reduce the number of brick threads posted.
Thank you for reading.
p.s. If anyone have some info on the one-click odin for froyo please post or pm meView attachment 688683

[Q] The best way to root?

Hi everyone,
Uhm, i'm not experienced with this stuff, but i wanted to ask, because i saw lots of ways but i still don't know what to try.
What's the best, i mean, safest way to root an One S? I really hate this Sense 4 and those tards from HTC said that "We cannot update it to Sense 5" and stuff (i had a long talk with them). I heard that rooting isn't working all the time, and you can get your device "Bricked" or sort of, so i really wanted to ask if there's a super-safe way or something like that.
And yes, back to my question, i actually have a Mac, so i wanted to know if there's a way to do it on Mac, and where i can find 'super-detailed' explanation of root-ing it. Any help appreciated.
P.S: If there's already a thread of this, please put the link below, thanks again.

Im not sure how to do it on mac as i am on windows 8.1 but all you need to do is flash twrp recovery, download this, place it on your storage and flash it through recovery
Thanks
Thanks, uhm, i want to get CyanogenMod on my One S. Is it stable? Or there still are major glitches? Oh, and uhm, what actually do i do with this SuperSU? Doesn't it needs root to work?

[Q] Novice - How to develop a root method?

I have a Verizon Elipsis 8 Tablet. There is no root method developed. I am an "advanced amateur" - I am not afraid to roll my sleeves up and make improvements on my device. I understand hardware and software but am not by a means a "developer". I'm interested in trying my hand at maybe developing a root method. I have googled the subject but I cant find anything. can someone point me in the right direction as to how to learn about this? Thank you.

[Q] *not sure* Have a couple of questions about a samsung galaxy subversion.

You guys (admins) have made this site so difficult to navigate, so please move this thread to the appropriate subforum.
Anyway, I currently own a Samsung Galaxy Neo Plus (i9060M) and would like to make a backup of the stock rom as it is not available for downloading ANYWHERE! Yes, this must be a very rare low-end device that nobody uses.
How can I accomplish the above-mentioned task without rooting, if that's even possible.
Also, do any of you know of any methods I could try to root my device? *this is not as important, as I will probably try all possible steps JUST AFTER BACKING UP the stock rom., but if you have some idea, I'd appreaciate it*
Thanks
If I couldn't find and install the stock ROM, I wouldn't mess it up unless throwing the device in the trash bin was no loss. What about these?

About root, Google has the answer, and it's here on xda.
none of those work for me.
I actually found the stock rom for my device, but its hosted on some slow/restricted site and I cannot download it LOL.
If any of you can do me a favor and download it, then reupload it elsewhere, I would appreciate it

People must be earning millions of dollars hosting files on those ****ty servers.
