Hello everyone!
I noticed something on my LG G flex 2 and I hope someone can ease my concerns. The battery monitoring app "GSam" tells me that the end charge voltage of the battery is 4.35V!
This is 0.15V over the 4.2V of a lithium battery. At first i thought it is the GSam app, but I looked at the battery test option in the hidden android menu and it says the same... Do they use another new Battery type that can easily handle that or do they overcharge the battery and by that drastically reduce the lifespan??
Thank you for any information!
Florian
Apps reading means nothing when it comes to voltages etc, u check that kind of stuff with multimeters.
Hmm do you use Quick Charge 2.0? If so, try using someone elses, it might be just the charger... But anyway, the 0.15V shouldn't concern you as I also get variable readings.

lg flex2 battery is 3.8v nominal and 4.35v is full charged. now my battery is dead. may be due too overcurrent drain caused over heating. as you also know flex2 is poorest performance phone. now i dont care about how it look. i ended up with attaching a 10000mah battery. it should work 3 times longer than original 3000mah battery. but my 10000mah is 3.7v/4.2v so what i would concern is to manually monitor the fully charged voltage.

Which hidden menu ?
You shouldn't be worried. If You want check battery voltage use multimeter but not with some crappy one. Phone measurements aren't best.

hello guys.
i am satisfied with mi 5 battery life while using wifi.
but when i use simcard net ( 3g or lte ) , the battery drains so much fast.
less than 3-4 hours of sot.
so i want to know is there any way or external power case for increasing the battery life ?
ty.
I second this. I haven't been able to find any "battery case" for this phone. Any help would be awesome.
Just curious to what ROMs and apps are you guys using regularly?
at getting regularly about 6 hours SOT in like 2 days of usage....
using Mi-Globe Rom stable 8.1.6.0
better flash a good rom and optimize it...
I have the same small battery life trouble..
I tested w/ many miui and custom roms and optimized as much as possible but it did not help.
My case is quite weird that even power on or off, with sim inserted or not and Flight mod on or off does not differ the usage grafic drop down line and time..
Total battery life is 5-7% per hour.
Despite replacing battery w/ a new one the result remains the same..
I would recommend do a complete wipe even for internal storage and flashing global stable or nauget beta from miflash tool......Then give it a few days ...Should work
What rom you use? im used MultiROM 8.1.6.0 only charge 1 time for 2 day use.
Everyday my mi5 just for call 2 hours, spotify 2 hours, checking email and other stuff like facebook, xda, miui forum 2 hours.
Why don't consider getting those power bank case? Those that slip behind the phone and a charger tip goes to the charging port.

How big does the phone get with it?
Also is it compatible with QC 3?
I'm considering buying it..
Feel free to share your best battery usage and screen on time in this thread.
I had the phone for a few days, and this is my phone after 2 days of use. Very impressive in my opinion.
That's a great one you got there mate. No doubt with its massive 3930 mah battery.

According to GSMarena battery life is average at best, they were quite disappointed with the results. So I’m not completely sure who to trust here.

I was worried too but every other reviewer says the battery its amazing. I bought the phone last week and I can tell you that GSMArena's results are completely wrong. I get a lot more battery life from this phone than the One Plus 3T.
Coming from a Xiaomi Mi Max I am a Bit dissapointed with this battery life, i forgot that most high end devices need to be charged everyday...
Its a pity that a mid range device has much better battery for less than half price...

It all depends on the user. Not by others imo. We all have our own way on how we use our phone.

Maybe because mi max is meant to last longer in terms of battery life. In addition, most mid range devices doesn't really have that much of a hardware feature unlike most high end flagship phones.

So you are comparing U11+ with xiaomi which has only snapdragon 650 on board (midrange), uses only full HD screen and has 4850mAh battery which is almost 1000 more than u11+? Did you expect 5 days with no charging? lol
I'm really happy with the battery. I expected the larger battery to cope with the display, and be average, but it's exceeded my expectations.
I'm a medium/ heavy user depending on the day.
Today is my record so far, had the phone for about 3 weeks, see pic
I have started putting power saver on overnight, clear all apps, and WiFi and data off. I'm using two sims aswell, not sure if that makes a difference
Here is mine.
Far better than my old Nexus 5 but I can't compare with other flagships. It last all day, from 7am to 22pm with ease. I needed to recharge my N5 2 to 3 times a day with similar usage.
Today
4H SOT over 12h50 and 39% left.
During this time, I played 1h of Airport City game and run for 50 min (so GPS for 50 min).
Google fit tracks me all day long too.
Mine:
Exceeds my expectations
my phone is on wifi 24/7
Are you on power saver constantly lol

Yes I am and still be able to use it the "normal" way
Then again, I let the battery go down to 1% and then start charging it again, which significantly increases the battery life and therefor get, at least, 5 days out of the battery

As far as I know, newer batteries don't behave like that, and partial charges are better with new battery technology.
Totally disapointed with mine. 5 sot more or less.
Is there something wrong with the software in this phone? This cant be normal.
I have the 6gb 128gb version

I come from a 5t and i have the oposite opinión. The 5t battery was noticiable better. 6-7 sot against 5 on this u11 plus
Seing the increíble distance between some people Who do 10 sot and many others like myself that barely so 4-5 i Wonder if this could be some software glitch depending on the model.
Mine its like i said above the 6gb 128gb translucent versión

I am not sure what it could be, I am also using the 6GB 128GB Translucent version from Hong Kong. The phone is currently on software 1.24.400.2, even though I have had great battery since day one. I recommend a factory reset just in case or check on the battery section, details what is draining it quicker. I can even play games for the majority of the charge and still get around 7hrs every time. Also check for gesture features, google maps, apps in sync, and many things that could drain your battery.

Hi, can you post a battery history screenshot with 7hrs SOT ?
I am just configuring mine (European Dual SIM, 6GB, 128 GB), and with just a few apps, no games, it loses 20% overnight.
It seems awful, I am almost considering returning it, and I had such high hopes.
I already factory reset it again and try to test it further.
What is you screen off drain overnight, on Wifi ?
I only have one SIM, the always on display only on motion launch, location normal, a HW2 android wear watch.

Something is draining your phone like crazy if it loses 20% overnight. That is not normal behaviour at all
Smart Display set to motion battery test results
4g/No Wi-Fi
50% auto brigthness
high accuracy location
Happy with this considering I didn't even get to drain till 10%
It shouldn't drain that much overnight tbh
I have a problem with my battery.Accubattery app is showing that there is only 84% (3404 mAh) of battery health. And I'm only getting 4-5h of SOT in mixed use of 4g and WiFi.I can see some batteries on Aliexpress, but i don't know are they 4070 mAh.
Does someone have link to original battery?I need from some site that ships parcels worldwide.

Hi. I've been investigating and I found this:
es.aliexpress.com/w/wholesale-x720-ltf23a.html
The model of the battery is ltf23a
@SP4E I know that, but has anybody bought one?I don't want to buy some random battery, open my phone, replace old with new battery and found out that it has smaller capacity than the old one ?
I bought this one and now whenever it comes below 50%, I can't listen to music on speakers with high volume or the phone suddenly shuts down!!!
Also it doesn't have any temperature sensor inside and always shows the battery temperature as 25 or 26°C that can potentially cause overheating especially while quick changing.
Unfortunately I messed up the original battery while trying to remove it from phone and now I can't use that anymore:crying:
https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32844142350.html
So you bought the most expensive of them all,and it is piece of s*** It's impossible that no one hasn't bought a good one.I'm thinking of selling my x720 just because of this battery, and buying redmi note 5 pro.But i'm losing dual speakers and snap 821.I'm not sure what to do.

At the time that I bought, there was only 2 or 3 batteries on aliexpress and I bought the most expensive one hoping to be the best one.
But now there are more sellers with different brands and some of them showing batteries with LE logo that seem to be original ones!
Hopefully someone having one of them can leave a feedback here.
So how bad/fast is battery degradation on this phone? because if its this difficult to get a spare battery it could be a problem
Mine is 4 months old,and has only 84% left of battery health.Just install Accubattery apk and it will show you 'accurate' health of your battery after couple of charging sessions.
Hi! Do you have a battery that you can recommend to me ?

Battery degradation isn't horrible. My battery is at ~3500mah and I'm the second owner of my 727. The key detail is that my phone has a manufactured date of march 2017. So approximately 1 year and 4 months of use and its only lost 15% of capacity? I'd say that's pretty good. It's also worth it to note that since I bought the phone in December of 2017 I have put no effort into trying to preserve battery cycles.

Your phone is 4 months old?
I seriously doubt anything is wrong with you battery, your calibration is of and thats it. Besides 85% would mean that you still have about two years of battery left.
If you really want long term battery life, never charge you phone about 85%, and avoid charging your phone above 2000MA and it will last 5 years.
How difficult is it to open the phone and replace the battery? I saw a number of batteries in Aliexpress but I'm afraid I might break it when I replace it myself - total noob...

I ended up with buying 2 batteries, I hope I'll remember to inform you about replacement procedure and the quality of the new battery
What about this battery with LE logo? Is it good/original?
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/New...0.0&pvid=ac4a0909-fc37-4398-ab57-07291083c968
Just keep in mind that the phone charges the battery to 4.4V and if you buy a fake battery which was designed for 4.2V max voltage then you are in fire risk.
Has anyone successfully changed their le pro 3 battery? Specifically the x720 and which battery did you purchase...
This is my first post so sorry for the mistakes.
In August I changed my battery for a new one, and the experience of SOT wasn't good as i expected. Today, during the quarantine, i seach the mah available of my battery and i founded that it's 2134 mah, 23% less than the original capacity. That brings me an 3hs SOT experience in my pixel, the small version.
Two cuestions, it's normal that my battery lost 23% of its capacity in 6 months? and, 3hsSOT its a normal behaviour with 2134mah?
Again, sorry for the mistakes. Keep at home.
After seeing your post, i have generated my PIXEL (small one) bug report and checked the same battery coloumb charge.....MIne was at 2257mah which is 83% of full capacity....I also get around 3 hrs SOT when i use it from full charge to around 15-18%......If i stretch it to almost NIL, I am getting around 3.5 Hrs SOT.....I am on stock android 10 ROM.
SO for your questions 1) My phone is around 3 years old, and it lost this much battery capacity in this period. So its not normal in your case, may be yours is an old replacement battery or undercapacity off market one.
2) The SOT which you get for your battery capacity is exactly normal....

Thanks!
There are still some genuine replacement batteries out there, I took the leap around October '19 and it's definitely a good one.
On stock ROM the difference was perceived but not night and day, on Lineage 17 with an underclocked ElementalX though the battery life is AMAZING for a sailfish.
Check this out. One day with a lot of standby and one with intensive use.
