Sar, I want to discuss some problem I found. The problem is lag or some process takes time to show quickly. Like i.e. when I get a incoming call the UI for the call does not appear and when I clear notifications it lags i.e. if a new YouTube notifications comes in the Quick notification panel and when I manually clear (swipe a notification) it lags. This is my first FBE ROM so I have followed the instruction for FBE ROMs and so I have done a proper clean flash. In earlier version of the ROM like CrDroid 6.8 the problem was not not there.
I like how the landscape quick setting is now. like it becomes small when pulled which is very nice and fps shortcut. The ROM is very good no problem in gaming or anything else. Thanks for the ROM ??
I have solved the problem. I forgot that I kept my phone in Efficiency mode. Thus, the lag

OTA didn't work for me; it has neither automatically detected the new version nor when manually searched. So I'm a week late installing testing the new version

Will an upgrade be possible i.e. coming from the newest 6.10 (build date October, 13th) without clean install? Or is it advised to purge all partitions before the upgrade? OTA is not offering the new release (most certainly because of a major version number difference)

crDroid boot logo forever
I made a clean flash, installing the ROM together with NikGapps, the flash finished successfully, so I clean the cache and rebooted.
Now it won't start, it shows the crDroid animated logo forever.
Any thoughts?

It was the same in my case: I first tried a dirty flash in the hope to keep my personal settings - that didn't work: It booted to the crdroid logo and stuck forever (>1hr)
I had to format all filesystems (at least data and system - plus the ususal cache/dalvik) in TWRP and then copied the zip files to the phone (still in TWRP) and flashed from scratch. It is important to keep the proper order of flashing things, in the first attempt I forgot Nikgapps and flashed that later: At the end I had a phone without "phone": No phone calls possible. After repeating the steps in the right order it is now working (almost) perfectly. Currently I'm not able to get my SD card working - but I'm not finished setting up everything.
---------- Post added at 02:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:07 PM ----------
I have a slightly interesting problem: If I try to format my SD card (I tried different cards to exclude HW defects) it will only work as expansion to the internal phone memory but not as separate storage.
As soon as I try to set it up it generates an expection in "StorageManagerService" (an other error complaining about wrong partition table: I could solve by partition the card with gparted in a linux box)

How to Install / Requirements
Just in case, before flash make an full backup of your current Rom and Kernel.
Requirements
New CWM or TWRP Recovery ( In The Downloads Section)
I Recommend TWRP
Extended Internal UserData Partition (due to the new KK fstab, the internal Memory can't be mounted)
(Users with stock Partition Layout, can still flash this rom, however you'll have only 500MB of userdata)
Installation / Flashing Procedure
Put the rom on the EXTERNAL SD Card
BOTH SIM's must be taken out of the Phone (Not doing so will throw some nasty errors 8/10 times ...) Not need with Beta2
FULL Wipes are mandatory (Cache/dalvik/Data)
Flash the ROM (Remember, you must not have your SIM(s) card(s) on the Phone ...) Not need with Beta2
When the Rom, finishes Booting, you need to go to Settings > Date & Time > and UNtick the checkbox for "Automatic Time Zone" (Disabled this Option, as it messes with the Network Signal) Not need with Beta2
Power OFF the Phone, and insert your SIM(s) Card(s) Not need with Beta2
[*] If you wish, reboot to the recovery first, and flash the SuperSU.zip in order to ROOT the Device (ROM isn't rooted as default), After flashing the supersu.zip, reboot the Phone, Say "NO" to the Recovery Promp about Root not instaled/damaged
--> You can find the latest SuperSU Root v2.40 HERE Not need with v1.2 or above
[*] Install the Rom
Internal memory re-partition (extended userdata partition)
Read with very carefully and do it at your own risk
Make a full backup via MKTDROIDTOOLS including NVRAM and IMEI
The Internal SD will be formatted so you will lose all the data that you have there
Download NewmanN1_2.5G_ExtendUserdata.zip (modified MBR and EBR1)
Extract the ZIP into a folder in your computer
Shutdown the phone
Open SP Flash Tool v3.1222.00 (or higher) and load the scatter file (extracted from NewmanN1_2.5G_ExtendUserdata.zip)
Flash MBR and EBR1 as shown on the next image (more details in this flashing tutorial)

Hi once again, lingfude. It is a pity for a situation on 4pda.
I as promised made the test Kit-Kat with one sim card in the 2nd slot. Results:
At installation of an insertion I didn't pull out a sim card from phone. The Automatic Time Zone point is included. Calls work, 2G the Internet works.
I have still a problem that Play Market long loads appendices. You have no such problem? The Internet well works.

Well I was about to post in there also, but since we can't post in English...
About the 3G calls patch, its working "ok" . People that complain about not having network signal, should check this 2 things:
- Follow the instructions ( I spent time writing that, to avoid unnecessary questions)
- country networks.
The modem isn't compatible for worldwide, if you don't have 2g or 3g network:
- Indicate what's your country and GSM networks , so, that we can make an additional patch.
Regards , have funn .
Edit: Lingfude, you need to check your kernel imgsensor driver, I changed that with FM50AF ( my zte driver)
In fact the driver in the source labeled OV8825/35 is the FM50AF modified.
--> You can get the original driver from qus source

Automatic Time Zone error --> Solved
Hia All.
I just solve the com.android.phone error caused when "Automatic Time Zone" is enabled.
Very good.
Just to summarize 'till now what is not working (need to be fixed in some way):
1- Bluetooth
2- Camera autofocus (solved? waiting for the patch)
3- Auto Timezone (solved? waiting for the patch)
I just have some issue with:
1- finding roaming options (how can I disable roaming messages to be displayed? I'm all the time in roaming with my operator so no need to be warned about each time I'm doing a call )..
2- setting governor? Can't find any!
3- Top up menu (can't add or remove switches)
Thanks for your time.

update: nvm, i already found it. testing.
Update 2: gapps doesn't work, but it's the package's fault. (Pixel config crashes and shows FC screen every 1 second)
Bluetooth isn't working, it fc's every 3 seconds. (to solve this, we must choose "app details" on fc screen and we must clean data and cache)

You were the first to bring Oreo ROM for our falcon device and now you are the first to bring Android Pie to falcon..... Thanks alot
I can't get your ROM running.
I installed xperience-13.0.0-20180817-EXPERIMENTAL-falcon.zip with open_gapps-arm-9.0-pico-20180811-UNOFFICIAL.zip from Original Post and wiped dalvik, cache, data and system before installing.
I don't use any non-stock kernel, backup, or whatsoever.
But after booting the system I always get following error messages:
"Android System There's an internal problem with your device. Contact your manufacurer for details"
When I hit OK, "Blootooth keeps stopping" and "Pixel Setup keeps stopping" messages pop up. When I click on app details I can't even force close the apps.
I also tried to wipe dalvik, cache, data and Internal Storage afterwards but it keeps crashing.

Yes even if i dont flash gapps on first boot it says the same what has been reported up. Exactly same thing happens when only rom is flashed.
Edit: Clearing storage of bluetooth makes the crashes go away somehow.

Introduction
LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11 (R), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
This ROM is based on the build of tarkzim (see here: [ROM][11.0][UNOFFICIAL][M7-ALL] LineageOS 18.1 [STABLE]).
I have fixed some SElinux permission and label errors as well as some ueventd permission errors (see source below).
If you are looking for LineageOS for microG see my other thread: [ROM][11.0][UNOFFICIAL][M7-ALL] LineageOS 18.1 for MicroG [STABLE]
What's working:
Boot
NFC
Audio Playback

Bluetooth
USB (ADB/MTP/PTP)
IR Blaster
Sensors
Proximity / Light Sensor

Does a WLAN connection to an access point with WPA2/WPA 3 mixed mode and PMF work here?
PMF is enabled in wpa_supplicant:
Bash:
1|m7:/ # cat /vendor/etc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf
update_config=1
eapol_version=1
ap_scan=1
fast_reauth=1
pmf=1
p2p_add_cli_chan=1
oce=1
wowlan_disconnect_on_deinit=1
However, I can not test WPA 2 / WPA 3 mixed mode.
Bear in mind that Wifi within HTC M7 has always been sort of unstable. It works during ongoing wifi usage, like during a phone call over wifi. But it might disconnect after you have fully loaded a website. It will reconnect automatically after a moment, though.
OK, then I will try the version later. Currently, with both Android 10 and 11, I have the problem that I can't connect to any Wi-Fi networks with WPA2/WPA3 mixed mode.
Looks like also in this rom the phone cannot connect in mixed WPA2/3 mode.
At least in my Fritzbox it only connects when WPA2 only is active in the router.
But thanks for the rom, great to have an actual rom for this old phone.
Dear zsoerenm, thank you for keeping this great device alive!
Is there any way to get root working for lineage-18.1-20220605-UNOFFICIAL-m7? I couldn't get it to work neither with older superuser version Android-11-SuperUser-Jays-Mod-ProtoDeVNan0-Mar22 or Magisk v25.1 and then patching the boot.img in twrp latest 3.6.2
Maybe I did a mistake and I shouldn't dirty flash it over the older LOS18.1 build, but everything else works fine.

I haven't tried v25.1, though. Could you try v24.3? I successfully used this version to root my device.

No, that is fixed.
worked great for the last two days but today it seems to be rebooting after about a minute of powering on, Amy fixes?
I don't have such an issue.
I suggest to reflash your device.

Hi,
first thanks for your great work!
Here are my experiences which were maybe helpful for other Users (shame on me I'm not into developing stuff )
- swich from tarkzim (18.1) image to latest lineage-18.1-20220820-UNOFFICIAL-m7.zip did not work
- new clean install of lineage-18.1-20220820-UNOFFICIAL-m7.zip also did not work
here way it was working for me
- twrp install with zip verification disabled
- install lineage-18.1-20220605-UNOFFICIAL-m7.zip (after that wipe Dalvik cache don't know if necessary)
- Install lineage-18.1-20220820-UNOFFICIAL-m7.zip (after that wipe Dalvik cache don't know if necessary)
- Install BiTGApps-arm64-11.0.0-v1.5_signed.zip (with zip verification enabled)
- have fun with this quite old Device

Really??
You got a 64bit package up and running on a 32bit processor?
That's work for a wizard! Great!
SCNR, samhhmobil
thx for quick response. I only copied the wrong filename in the text (also testing things for my LG G4). I used the 32 Bit BiTGApps Package.
After installing as described before it seems to work fine but i was not able to store anything. Not possible to download files via browser neither store a taken Picture or install apps.
So i clean installed latest tarkzim image and BiTGApps after that the two images from zsoerenm (after each installation reboot to check if everything still works).
Now everything is fine
Not saying that this is a general issue, i tried a lot of things on this Device. I just want to share my experiences if some other noob has similar Problem then this is a way to get it back running without knowledge of further analysis or troubleshooting.

How to Install(Follow All Instruction)
(Dont Report Bugs if you dont follow below Instructions)
Android 13 Release Notes/Installation Guide
1. Clean Flash
• Clean flash is mandatory: you are required to backup all of your existing data to your computer or your preferred cloud service and avoid using nandroid backup.
2.Flash TWRP
• Flash the new TWRP Recovery made by Zeelog : ( Mandatory)due to various changes in fstab file and encryption implementation, you are required to flash the new TWRP of which the link is undermentioned
Link
3. Wipe and format Device ( Both are different)
• After you flash and boot into the new TWRP recovery, format data and reboot to the recovery again.
Now, wipe all the partitions (i.e. system, vendor, data, internal storage). Wiping Internal might throw an error because of missing /data/media/ which is okay, reboot to recovery again.
This format data and wiping of other partitions is required only once every clean flash.
NB : encryption is now enabled by default and that is why a clean flash would cost you a data format.
4.Flash ROM and Gapps
*To use internal storage for transferring files from PC
From TWRP > tap Advanced > Terminal > run command: mkdir -p /data/media/0/
• Copy the latest releases LineageOS 20.0 Android 13 rom and latest NikGapps (optional) (basic edition is preferred) to your internal storage/otg media/sd card etc.
Flash the rom + gapps (if you need) using the usual method.

Best ROM for mido currently. Even on 3GB version this ROM is very fast and doesn't lag over time.
I can't get the alarm to sound.
I have tried with the sound enabled, with vibration, with do not disturb, in no case if the screen is off the alarm sounds.
It happens to someone else?
Thank you
I've been using it since it was first published. I haven't noticed any problem so far. Thank you to those who contributed.

The Clock app works with no problem for me. You should give it all necessary permissions if you haven't done it.
Huge thanks for your work
It worked very well on October version but new November causes Pixel Luncher stop working and Recent button acting strange. I use other launcher with November version. I tried few different fixes founded on few websites but any of them don't work. I have to reflash October update and everything works very well. I haven't tried only clean flash with November version yet. I'm not sure what else I can do.
It worked very well on my device, but battery charges slowly, just 5V 1A.
Screen recorder does not record sound.,but thanks anyway, probably the best room for Mido

Thx for the rom <3
thanks for continuing to support this superb phone.
I followed the instructions in detail and my device boots into TWRP. I have done the process 5 or 6 times installing the gapps as without and it does the same, I have downloaded the ROM again and nothing. Help!!!

Here I get around 1750 mA of current and 4.1V . around 7W .
You have to buy new original cable.

Yes, I am using Nikgapps, specifically the basic ones. I even flashed the rom without Gapps and I have the same result.

probably yeah
Builds are live same build as 04/07
This Dev is on Point and is building some of the finest Roms I've used. Thank you Dev for bringing this wonderful build to us
Great!
This is truly the Best Rom Ever, as displayed in the launcher.
It is a pleasant surprise to see this go official so soon.
This is the smoothest Rom for our device so far, out of various Roms I have tried, yet feature rich and quite customizable too. Battery life is way better than stock too (thanks in part to Kiri kernel for that too), among various other things.
Thanks again for all your time and effort.
i would love to try this out but included kiri kernel means we need to root and flash powerhint module...unless you found a way to include this with ROM
i need to run unroot for my work app.
wish it had radioactive kernel as default.

Actually running better without the Powerhint module...
Give it a try..im also running unrooted
Question, the phone vibrates every time is locked, in my pocket and on movement (like walking). Very short vibrations like when the phone gets unlocked. When it is standing still, it does not happen. Why is it happening?. Running crDroid 9.3.

How are you flashing? Make sure you start with fresh base flash from Google flash page with latest image. This ROM doesn't say what security patch it's based off of yet so you have to wait and see .. usually what I do, is flash factory firmware from Google flash page, plug in my phone , select disable verity and flags, flash straight thru, once it finished flashing and phone boots up, I then flash vendor boot via fastboot flash vendor_boot ( vendor location ).img once it says successful in fastboot screen in cmd I reboot to recovery, i go into update - via adb and select flash via adb - once it goes into adb mode in recovery I go on PC and run adb sideload lineagexxxx.zip and allow to flash... Takes about 3-5 minutes ... Once I get status 0 I reboot into recovery again, apply update via adb, and flash gapps , and once they complete, I reboot to system, once I see system boot up successfully, I then rebooted into recovery and sideload adb magisk. It patches the boot.img and once I get status ∅ I reboot and set up. Once I'm done setting up and land in homescreen I go into magisk and >> install >> direct install and then reboot. You will get " magisk has to do something blah blah blah, ignore the message and direct install and then reboot. Mind you this is just in case. Once it reboots I go back into magisk and see that it shows latest installed magisk version and set up from then on. You will need some of these modules , although I advise installing all the ones shown... I personally configure deny list as such in the picture... Reboot and Google pay works and cts passes. Good luck.
So ahh
I can slap this on a Pixel 7, riight...
Any word on a Pixel 7 version
Thanks for your hard work.
