Hey guys, since I am sure everybody getting an unlock token is wondering, Can we use FB tools to install one of the two kernels available for our device? I am not sure. I prefer to stay on stock T mobile fw per the additional bands supported, however if needed I will convert to a global variant.
Note; I booted the TWRP image (Not flash) and flashed the ElementalX kernel and it is working beautifully.

i have looked everywhere.
i am trying to find the stock recovery for oneplus 7 pro
- t-mobile version (if required)
10.0.1 oos
Honestly this phone has been the worst experience ever.
From t-mobile not allowing me access to files to fix my device, to forums being dead, sluggish and from several developers not caring about the issues others experience. to a single phone with 7 different variations. and the one I'm stuck with has 0% help.
ive seen multiple request for these files to go look and see "nvm i just flashed international rom..."
honestly it should be illegal for companies to not provide these files.

That is because you are looking for something that does not exist. This phone doesn't have a recovery partition. On A/B partition devices, the recovery resides on the boot.img partition (along with kernel and ramdisk). The A/B partition scheme is very confusing if it is new to you (as it is to a lot of folks). You can possibly fastboot flash the stock boot.img partition, depending on what exactly you are trying to accomplish.
I don't buy carrier branded phones anymore, for some of the reasons you are experiencing. Converting the T-Mob 7 Pro to be "international", seems to be a pretty popular thing.
This device is far from being "dead" the most common thing to do with the T-Mo version is to flash the international ROM. The only thing people do on the T-Mo ROM is to SIM unlock, thus allow bootloader unlocking, then go right back to the international ROM.

i have had to many issues with international that i msm back to tmobile.
i just didnt want to lose everything over an over doing this when things go wrong
i believe i have dumped the boot.img
i just hope it works when i do need it again.
Here's what I did whenever T-Mobile update to Android 10.0.1 I downloaded the OTA Update from off the internet then extracted it on my desktop then I used the payload-dumber-win64 to get the recovery and boot.img to use Incase I needed them. I used the extracted boot.img from the payload-dumber-win64 and followed instructions on how to use magisk patcher to patch my own boot.img. search Google for the T-Mobile update then use the tools to extract the whole thing.
Hi. I recently unlocked and debranded my Honor 6x BLN-21 (European) to BLN-22 (Indian) in order to upgrade to emui 8. I'll just get to the point: I tried flashing OpenKirin's OmniRom and lineage os. Everything worked, and I mean EVERYTHING, except mobile data. I can turn it on and off but it's like it's only working on the UI side: it shows LTE under it but when I try to open the playstore or a chrome tab it's just not there.
Other details are:
- the sim is recognized, i can send messages and call.
- i can connect to wifi
- i tried manually searching for networks since it showed IWIND instead of FASTWEB, but i couldn't find it. I could only find IWIND, Vodafone, 3 and a few others... Even though in the top navbar it correctly says FASTWEB, which is my courier... So there's that.
- I'm from Italy
- I tried lineage os 17.1 (the one from this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-6x/development/rom-10-lineageos-17-1-honor-6x-t4064803 ) and everything worked, but since i want to install nethunter , it was incompatible so i had issues with ADB. (Note that i did NOT install nethuner on Openkirin's version of the os in order to test it)
Please does anybody know how to fix this? Is there a patch or something I missed?
Thanks.
Nobody?

Yes, it's true, especially if you are an European.
Our model (bln-l21) does not have the update to emui 8.0 unlike chinese or india.
If you want to install a custom rom on it, you need to have emui 8.0.
To do it, you must debrand it to india or chinese.
If you do it, you can no longer receive certain frequencies 3g / 4g (not the same bands in theses countries).
Never again huawei for me...
Hello. I am fairly technical with web and computers but not so much when it comes to android or mobile hardware/sofware so bare with me.
I got my oneplus 7 pro 5g (UK EE network) back from repair yesterday and went to install lineage os on it following this tutorial https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/guacamole/install with OpenGApps nano.
The install seemed to go fine and managed to boot into lineage, connected to wifi and then started installing my apps etc. Today I moved my sim over and could not get the phone to recognise the sim. Could not turn on mobile data, could not see a phone number in the about settings page etc.
I then started googling around and found this thread [OP7P] [Latest: 11.0.3.1] Android 11 Firmware collection | XDA Forums and in my limited wisdom decided to just start flashing the global firmware onto the device. After this lineage booted fine but now not only no sim/mobile network but also no wifi. I assume i have put the wrong firmware onto the device, maybe something to do with either my phone being a UK phone or the fact that it has a different modem for the 5g version of it.
I think it's time I asked some people who know what they are talking about rather than trusting my own poor judgement :/ Does anyone know how I can fix the wifi and sim on this device now? I dont mind if it is on lineage os or if it goes back to oxygen os.

The OnePlus 7 Pro 5G doesn't have working modem on custom ROMs past Android 10, and me and others efforts to get it working have failed. This is due to different modem and partitions. You also cannot flash the international firmware on it. This will most likely break modem even more. The best you can do is flash the EU5G firmware going by GM27BA. (Found here https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...rint-oneplus-7-pro-5g-to-european-fw.4042583/). Also Android 11 is not out and probably will never be out. The source for the 7 Pro 5G isn't even fully out so building custom ROMs won't work
Thanks for the info and the link. I really appreciate it.

So if I were to go back to stock oxygen os would that fix my modem alone or will I need to fix the firmware separately since I flashed the global firmware over the top?

Done! Just going through android initial setup now but it is registering my sim and wifi. You absolute legend. Thank you so much for your help.
Try YAAP custom ROM , works brilliantly
I have a European one plus 7 Pro 5g model (gm1920). Are any of the 11 or 12 roms valid for this 5G model?
Thanks Bart
Here is a video tutorial for getting Android 12 onto the GM1920 and GM1925 - Oneplus 7 Pro 5G.
This video installs Yaap onto the phone but you can install any of the roms pretty much onto the phone using this method demonstrated in the video. I am using Yaap 12.1 latest build with Dora Kernel v3.0 at the moment. I tested Pixel Experience Android 12 on the phone first and this is how I first got it to work. They are both rock solid and stable. I am using the phone with this setup as my daily driver. You might want to stick with your EFS carrier_policy.xml until I fix the issue with the UK part of the policy in my modded version but do use the updated device_config.xml. Make sure you do back up your EFS in TWRP in case the modem stops working after you set it up. This is so you can go back into TWRP and restore the back up and continue using the phone as normal. Hope this helps.
wow first time I have seen a way to update the 7 pro 5g, since it's stuck on android 10. Oneplus abandoned us. I will try this when I have time as its now a spare phone for me.

Yaap and KSOP are even better now. Just need to flash A10 to both slots. They support the 5G modem. If you are wanting dual SIM you have to flash the oem_stanvbk.img from the Oneplus 7 Pro International A11 ROM. And the few other tweaks using QPST EFS Browser put the device_config.xml in the policyman folder. To make it work in DSDV mode you will have to set in terminal with elevated user rights su. Still trying to get DSDS to work fully. To switch between the sims you first need to disable the one that is active and then enable non active sim. For some reason if you allow the system do to it for you it will fail and you will have to reboot.
setprop persist.radio.multisim.config dsdv
If you have Yaap installed John Galt has already fixed the by adding the missing vendor props. If they have not been added to KSOP vendor build.prop add theses props:
vendor.usb.diag.func_name=diag
vendor.usb.use_ffs_mtp=0
To enable Qualcomm full port mode in terminal with elevated user privileges su.
setprop sys.usb.config diag,diag_mdm,qdss,qdss_mdm,serial_cdev,serial_cdev_mdm,dpl,rmnet,adb
One drawback if you have flashed oem_stanvbk.img before setting up Yaap or KSOP the SDX50M and SDX24 modem's ESN may not show up correctly in QPST EFS Explorer to connect to the phone. Might want to try and set the NV item 70266 to dsds using QXDM. Not sure how to set the NV item using QPST EFS Explorer unless we can copy it from an International Oneplus 7 Pro. If dual sim still doesn't quite work I do have a modded modem image.

Hello to all and thank you for your time.
I recently bought a T-Mobile GM1915 version of the 1+7 pro, currently I have it network unlocked, and have just received my bootloader unlockcode.bin file from the OP website via email and am ready to unlock bootloader.(have not yet unlocked bootloader but I do have that capability)
Currently at this juncture I'm unfamiliar with what my steps might be or what my options are available to me that will allow me to pursue:
A) converting from the T-mobile Oxygen firmware to the Global Oxygen firmware version and establishing root access via Magisk with Gpay capabilities.
B) flashing TWRP to help with installing a stable custom ROM based on Android 12+ and establishing root (or root with Magiskl) access with Gpay capabilities.( This option is my preferred goal. But not a killer)
I'm open to changing my 2 prior goals if better solutions are presented.
Links to any threads that help answer my questions are very welcome (I'm not opposed to reading through any tutorials, walkthroughs, or stickies.)
Any quick and easy answers are useful as well.
AND thank you in advance.
(To recap: I have a..
T-mobile OnePlus 7 pro Gm1915
I have THE network unlocked
I have received my bootloader unlock code.BIN (but have not used it)
Current firmware-
Oxygen OS 11.0.1.8.GM31CB
Android vers. 11
I'd prefer to upgrade phone to a stable custom ROM or established root on a firmware other than Tmobile's (either custom or stock)
Again Thank you for your time and responses

Hey there, I own a Oneplus 7 Pro GM1915 as well and while I've dissected virtually the entire Internet and have obtained literally dozens upon dozens of TWRP guacamole.img files, patched boot.img, rooted patched boot.img, and let's not forget the recovery.img and enough custom ROMs of every make imaginable, that my cat actually said, "Meh." But not a single one was a perfect match to the T-Mobile Oneplus 7 Pro. Any chance you've had a little luck and have a LineageOS or a RROS laying around, huh?
