Got problem with Viber restore.
Recently lost SIM card which was registered to Viber. Vibers chat backups are located on google drive (Not phone storage) registered viber with a new SIM and getting no prompts to restore old chat data.
Any ideas how I can pull it from google drive into viber for use with my new number?
Thanks

hello there i have xt720 with stuck 2.1
i imported my contacts to memory card then rooted and installed open recovery then flashed cyanogenmod now when i restored my contacts the are all ??????
the numbers are there but the names are all question marks
i reverted back to 2.1 and rested my contacts again but it's the same plz help me
i will attach my backup file
it is easier to SYNC to your Gmail account
just use WiFi to prevent any data charges
the problem is i don't have my contacts on gmail this is the only backup i have plz help
from the phone, in the Dial App, you can select the option to Sync to your Gmail account
it automatically gets created
I flashed Virtuous Inquisition ROM with my SIM card out. For some reason, I have lost my contacts because when I select "Import contacts from SIM card" it results in "No contacts on your SIM card" which is strange because I know I had contacts on there and I never deleted them myself.
if you have the contacts on the sim card you can reimport in the phone app. if not they can be reaquired by synching with a gmail account if you have done that its a good way to keep contacts while flashing roms. lastly you can restore them if you use titanium backup. if none of these are an option you'll most likely have to re-enter them all manually.
My contacts automatically sync with my Google Account, so whenever I flash a new ROM the device redownloads them from Google servers. I have never had my contacts on my SIM card, ever, but I suppose you can choose to keep them there
For me, I use Titanium backup, It save and backup calendar, contact, apps etc ...
Hay guys,
Is there a way to retrieve back after phone reset whatsapp, tango and viber accounts to their status before the factory reset.
My problem is that I have left my country for what was planned to be only one month, so I have temporally suspend my cell phone line to cut the monthly fees while I am abroad, so the phone number is still mine and I am paying the minimal fees for it but the line is suspended and can't be reactivated unless I showed up personally at one of my Mobile provider outlets.
I am in Germany now and I am using a German number but I kept my whatsapp, Viber and tango accounts which they are linked to my Home number, so I will be available for all the people they know my number back home.
I want to do a factory reset now because of battery drain problem..and that means that I have to reinstall these application again and I will be asked to provide my original number for verification through sms or call back... since I can't have access to that number now, that means that I will not be available to my back-home contacts anymore...
Is there away to do the Factory reset and then have these application back with my original cell number linked to them??
I have Samsung Galaxy SIII mini, Android ver: 4.1.2
Thanks

the best backup app is titanium back up ... use it to backup your wanted apps then have a copy to the new formed folder in SD card with the app name (titanium backup ) as it may be lost
and restore this folder to sd card when u returrn home
and restore your (apps+ there data)

Hello,
I am trying to copy a messaging/voip app from my old phone. I used APK Extractor to copy the app.
The problem is with the app's login info. When I launch the app on my old phone, I get a message that the account is inactive and I need to contact customer services. But the app then works, I can make calls and check the credit remaining etc.
When I enter the account details (login and password, identical to the ones that are logged on on my old phone) in my new phone I get an invalid account message.
In fact the account is dormant, but still works. So obviously I don't want to contact the service provider.
The problem is not to retrieve the login details - I already have those - but how to flag the app as logged in.
Anyone have any ideas?
OK, I managed to solve the problem. I'll post it, in case it helps anyone else.
It turns out that the manual log in works if there is no SIM card present in the phone.
If a SIM card is present, the Freedompop app finds that either it is not a Freedompop SIM, or that it is an inactive SIM, so refuses to log in. If there is no SIM card present (for any operator), then the manual log in works.
Hello everyone.
I would like to ask for HELP regarding viber voice messages. I cloned the system from one phone to another and everything went fine except for the voicemails of one of the viber contacts who died a year and a half ago whose voicemails I would like to keep.
After activating viber and restoring the backup from the google account, the voice messages can be seen but cannot be played.
Considering that viber is activated on another phone, are there any chances that on the old phone where viber is deactivated, ptt files can be found and played using viber for desktop with the help of the audacity program as I read somewhere.
Thank you in advance.
