Is there any way to extract the EMUI for use on other devices? I saw it on other sites but every one of them was down possibly because the company took them offline.
and thank you for this.

There always are ways to extract the UI and port to other roms but not worth the effort
EMUI is not that good as MIUI or even Samsung's UI, so why trying?

I guess it's an opinion but having used a lot of Samsung devices, anything is better than Samsungs Touchwiz lol

How do you find the code name of your device? Ex. d2att for the Samsung Galaxy S3.
Also, I think (tell me if I'm wrong) that the phones I'm looking at from Wind Mobile work with T-Mobile phones. If this is true, does that mean a ROM in the T-Mobile forum that doesn't list the exact model number of the Wind Mobile phone (ex. if it listed SM-G920T but didn't list SM-G920W8) will still work with that ROM?

Thank you again, that's weird that DuckDuckGo didn't find that .
Unfortunately, I couldn't find the devices I'm looking for there. Could you please answer my other question as well?

unfortunately i cant answer that, but i can comment on it.
there are a small amount of phones that you can flash a rom that wasnt specifically made for it, but if you cant find proof before trying, there is a real risk of permanent brick if your wrong.
take the g3 for instance (only because i know about this device),
you can take a vzw g3 and use it on tmo, but you can not flash a tmo rom on it because it is a vzw phone.
if your just talking about a rom, and not actual stock firmware, the risk of issues is still there, but generally, more likely fixable because its not flashing key partitions that could render your device unfixable.
i am in no way suggesting you try it, only because if it bricks the phone i dont want to be responsible, but if it were me, and i had a backup to restore the phone, and stock files to flash if need be, i would try it. but you would have to be in a position to buy a new phone if things go terribly wrong. if not, then i wouldnt do it.

I'm not sure if we have the same understanding. I mean just like how the Bell Samsung Galaxy S3 can flash AT&T ROMs, I'm wondering if that would be the same for Wind Mobile flashing T-Mobile ROMs even if the model number is not exactly the same (ex. flashing a SM-G920T ROM on a SM-G920W8).
And yeah, I'm talking about flashing an AOSP ROM rather than stock firmware ROM (TouchWiz, Sense, Etc).

maybe you will get some help if you ask in the specific device forum q&a of the devices you need info about. usually thats the best place to ask questions if the device specific forums exist for your models.

Thank you for the suggestion, I was thinking of doing that but I have 4 phones I'm considering getting so I thought it would come off as spamming. Do you still think I should do that?

yea go for it. maybe stagger your post a bit though. dont throw them all in at once.
Canadian here. All T-Mobile ROMs will work on our Canadian owned S6s. Sometimes an extra custom kernel needs to be flashed, but they will work.
Also, try going to download.cyanogenmod.com to search for your device, then you will see the codename at the end of all nightly zip filenames.
Good luck.

Please help me find a stock ROM for the dual SIM/duos version of the Galaxy S7 (model no. SM-G930FD) that is prior to the actual version (baseband G930FXXU1BPH1, build no. MMB29K.G930FXXU1BPH6 / Android-Version 6.0.1.). I believe that the actual version keeps WiFi from starting when the second SIM tray is occupied with SIM AND SD card simultaneously.
Please help with links to and sources for older stock ROMs for SM-G930FD).
Thank you in advance.
Have you taken a look here: http://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model

I stand corrected. I'm a bit 2. I will update the OP tonight
Any chance of getting either asc1 or asd1 for the j337vpp please? This phone I have is on J337VPPVRU2ASC1 , So believe those are my only options correct?
Will this work with my J3 with an ASE1 firmware? Or is there a different file?
Which combo do I use for j337vppvru7btg2?
In search of firmware. In particular, does anyone happen to have combination firmware or eng boot file (they could link me) for the Samsung J7 2018 Verizon, binary 3 version?
Thanks in advance, a Goog Search provided nothing but scammy lookin' pay sites.

I no longer have the phone but from what I recall (and can see on my external drive), I found the firmware using the samfirm tool.
https://samfirmtool.com/samfirm-v0-3-6
If not familiar with it there's a few good guides to follow. Google samfirm-guide
Some may say it's deprecated but it still worked for me. Have used it a few times of late.
Still looking
Still need that j737v u5 combination file if anyone
update ........ https://drive.google.com/open?id=1KjiWivA3A0EUqUeVTp-lV4stGtUXslX0
change to a .tar file will work flawlessly
