finally my token - OnePlus 7 Pro Questions & Answers

I just received my unlock token but I tried to open it to see if there are any numbers for me to read but file could not be opened then I tried to flash this unlock bin in fastboot but nothing works...my first time ever flashing an unlock bin token.... any help?thanks

Type the command "fastboot flash cust-unlock" then drag the unlock.bin file to your cmd. Hit enter. Then you should be able to do "fastboot oem unlock”.

Does the unlock. Bin from OnePlus have numbers to them? Because I swear I downloaded the token code from OnePlus site and all it says is

You don't open the bin or get numbers or whatever. You flash it with fastboot. That's it.
There's video guides on YouTube on how to do it for the 6T which is the exact same process for the 7 Pro.

Thank you guys for the clarification

Download a ROM, extract its boot.img then use fastboot command:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Oh and p.s dont use tools designed for other phones in future - why you needed one to htcdev unlock is beyond me though, the instructions are perfectly clear on the htcdev.com website

You need the adb/fastboot files to use the fastboot command, there is a link either in the "flashing ROM's with S-ON" guide or in the "Guide to S-OFF, custom recovery and SuperCID" thread - sorry, Im on my phone so cant link it.
Then put the files in C:\adb and open command prompt and type:
cd C:\adb
then press enter
Next you need to extract the boot.img from a Sense ROM zip file - any from the dev thread will do as long as its a Sense ROM - and place boot.img in the C:\adb folder then put phone into bootloader, connect to computer and select "fastboot USB" from the phones bootloader menu and then type the following command into command prompt:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
hit enter then type:
fastboot reboot
press enter and all done

Yep, because you are S-ON, the script cant write to the boot partition which is why the fastboot flash boot boot.img workaround is needed

no no after writecid command the cid immediately wont reflect it ..do it this way
step by step ..from phone connected in fastboot USB and commands from C:\adb
1.fastboot getvar cid (gives your current cid ..post it here )
2.fastboot oem writecid HTC__J15 (its J15 is it not ?) (if this failed ..post the entire output here)
3.fastboot reboot-bootloader (reboots the boot-loader)
4.fastboot getvar cid (this should give you HTC__J15 now)
NOTE: remember there should be no quotes in the command..just copy paste the above commands if you want to to avoid any errors

[Q] What should I do?

I'm newbie in the Android world. I'm now rooting my HTC IncS using this guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2118187) and now stuck at step 3 which is unlocking bootloader. In this area I'm stuck where command prompt and fastbooting is included.
I'm not moving on steps unless I fastboot my IncS before I connect so I can do the step 8 and so on htcdev.com ...
What to do? I need how to fastboot my IncS. Thanks for the help.
The link is broken, but this is how fastboot is used:
1. Go to the fastboot folder and press shift+right click, then select open command prompt here
2. type in: "fastboot flash boot boot.img" where the boot.img is the file, you put in the folder before. It can also be kernel.elf, so then you type: fastboot flash boot kernel.elf
Thank you for the reply. :good::good::good:
But can you help me more? I have already flash my recovery and when I select recovery from the bootloader, it doesn't open the window where I will install the .zip files. It always turn on everytime I do it. Is there a step I did wrong?
Here is the guide I'm referring.

i have the same problem and i didnt find anyway to fixit
Sticky Bit Fastboot
and here is the fix
First you want to download this zip file extract the file to your computer so it should read C:\Android
Next click on it once so it's selected hold left shift and right click and click on "open command window here"
Now plug in you phone and boot it up normally, then make sure usb debugging is enabled.
now in the command window type "adb devices" (this makes sure your device is hooked up and ready to be fixed)
List of commands to type in. ( in order)
1. adb reboot bootloader
2.fastboot oem fb_mode_set
3.fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
3.fastboot erase userdata
4.fastboot erase cache
5.fastboot reboot
download all the files from here
http://www.2shared.com/file/M1n_-B0-/all.html
use the first 3 command only like what i did so you wont lose your data
my phone is stuck on the boot loop. i think i cant follow this fix. do you have any other fix? thanks

OEM unlock not appearing in developer options.

Yes I did. I can't seem to figure out what to do next. It shows to me that the twrp recovery has been installed but when i go to it it comes up with the recovery from the huawei. So i can't flash anything.
So if it doesn't have the OEM option to unlock can I not install recovery or root the handset?
Without the phone plugged, hold volume up and power till u see the logo, release power while keeping volume up pressed.
try this
shut down phone
press vol up + power
when saw the huawei logo
release all buttons
wait
done
u r in twrp

fastboot boot is not supported. try the keys combination
Fastboot boot twrp.img would not flash twrp, what it tries is downloading twrp.img then boot it without flashing.
I'm not sure how it is for the Chinese Mate 9s, but you'd want 'fastboot flash recovery twrp.img', that flashes twrp (if your twrp is named twrp.img).
If it says it flashed twrp, try 'adb reboot recovery'.
Never flash recovery to boot partition.
For recovery : "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img"

I'm still trying to unlock the bootloader using the command prompt and ADB and Fastboot, after I got the Huawei code:
Step-1: Open the command prompt and enter the following command.
Adb reboot bootloader
Step-2: Your phone will reboot and enter into bootloader mode.
Step-3: Now enter the following command to finally unlock the bootloader.
Fastboot oem unlock xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
And it always fails.
I do not know how to use "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img" or "fastboot boot twrp.img".
Do you have a guide how should I do it?

Open a terminal or adb shell and enter these commands:

To answer my own problem/ for anyone else having problems it is necessary to remove the factory reset protection (frp) to do this you need to remove all pin/password/fingerprint locks, then remove all google accounts and finally do a factory reset.
Then the usual adb/fastboot commands work fine.
As linux33it says the bootloader can be unlocked without the option in the developer options.
