I have 2 different 7 pros synced to two different cars. When streaming music it doesn't show the song title, album etc, just says unknown. Anyone else have this issue or know a fix? Thanks
works fine with my op 7pro in my 2012 mazda cx5, with spotify.
Same here, works fine in 2018 Jeep using USB Player Pro.

hi all...
i dont know if this was posted before...But I know there were many others like me that was looking for a way to fix this.
I am running DC 2.07.2 ROM...with Plantronics Stereo bluetooth headset:
I am running Meridian Player, and I can control the play back with the controls on my bluetooth headset.
Next song
previous song
pause
play
This might work on other music apps too!!
It does not work (bluetooth controls) with internet based music apps like: Pandora and TuneWiki.
before it would only control the HTC Music player. If I tried before while listening to music in any music player; it would start another playback in the HTC music app. I would be hearing 2 songs at one time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is great!!!
THanks to Damageless and his devs!!!
I am running Fresh 2.0d and I use Mixzing Lite connected by bluetooth to a JVC BT-1 headunit. In the past I would have the same problem where using the bluetooth controls would start a new instance of TC music and I would have two songs playing at once.
With Fresh 2.0d the bluetooth controls work with Mixzing with one catch. when I press skip it will skip two tracks. I'll here 1 second of the first track adn then the second will play all the way through. Now sure if it is a 2.1 issue, a JVC issue or a Mixzing issue. Not a big deal though. Just happy I can play and pause.
That's really good news for me. I had given up on ever being able to control a 3rd party music app. Thanks for posting this!

it might be the JVC Headset or Mixzing
I use Phantronics Voyager and it only skips 1 song at a time.
You should download another music app and try that. I recommend Meridian Player
Hi folks,
I have an HTC Desire running InsertCoin HD/Z port 1.8h ROM at the moment. I have just bought a Motorokr S9-HD and so far it's working reasonably well.
The major bug I have with this is the music control feature. It seems to start Meridian player and control that instead of the default HTC Music player I have already running. It has a weird effect of both music players streaming two different songs at the same time! Ever heard Evanescence and Ottmar Liebert playing at the same time? Not nice!
Anyone else encountered this problem with the S9-HD or any other bluetooth headset?
Thanks,
D.
I installed the new android music played on my desire and noticed if I'm using the default player and use the controls on my pair of s9s it controls the new player.

That sounds promising - where can I find this music player, and does it have widget for the default HTC lock screen?
Thanks.
Try the PowerAmp music player app, it has a dedicated BT button management and I'm loving it with my Motorila S9.
The default music on tnt lite seems to play a different song than what it says it is playing. At times it works and then it changes the song in the middle of the other song. Is anyone else experiencing this?
I've had this same problem... I used the winamp player for a while and it doesn't seem to be as bad.
i also had the same issue and switched to MortPlayer
Does any ROM support AVCRP. I am trying to use my bluetooth to stream pandora to my car and wanted the titles to show up. I am streaming it to a 2013 wrx.

The problem is with the app. The only music app that I have ever used on android that could display title/artist over bluetooth is Google play music

Hi XDA Team,
Recently I ran into a predicament where my car's JVC Kenwood head unit stopped displaying song metadata and track information. It turns out this is because Spotify had dropped support for my brand of stereo, meaning I had to downgrade my Spotify version. Before this I used to be able to like songs, browse playlists etc all through my car stereo.
I then got to thinking about how music apps (particularly Spotify) like to drop features at a moments notice, stop working with older devices etc.
I don't have a good way to phrase this question, but can anybody think of an "audio bridge" that manages the connection between your phone's music player and your device of choice? Some third party app that could include support for various devices and apps? Even a custom developed Spotify application? Would love to hear any ideas as to how this could work or why it is/isn't possible.
