Hello.
I have the phone a couple of days ago and I wonder if these adjustments are changed, a lot of battery consumption varies.
Someone tried with the two resolutions how many maximum screen hours have you had?
Best regards.
Give it a try yourself and report back

Hi guys,
Here's one for you!
After I performed the widely reported HTC Desire battery calibration on my HTC Desire S I was easily getting about 40hours usage from it. I was extremely impressed by its long battery life.
However in recent days I have been getting just a fraction of this. Perhaps 15hours at most. My usage hasn't increased or decreased and I'm struggling to find an explanation as to why the battery life has been slashed. I recalibrated and still no improvement.
Can anybody shed some light please!?

You need to run some battery monitoring tools to see whats actually eating the battery.
I'd recommend battery monitor widget this should show the amount of battery being eaten at a given time and record history, so you can determine if its a rouge application or a duff battery?!
After you install it it change Settings->Monitoring->Battery Capacity to the correct value of 1450.
Try to think about what applications you may have installed around the time the consumption changed or if you have recently added new accounts to sync.
Indeed you need a battery monitoring tool to see exactly what is going on but for me I noticed that running a GPS application and after that stoping GPS module never release completly the resources and the battery is discharging faster.
All indications shows there are no GPS connections and the module is off but the battery discharge at 2x speed than usual. I had to restart the phone and the problem is solved until the next time I start any GPS app (Navigon , iGO ..).
I use stock ROM.
You could also try, where is my android power.
It's an app that shows you which app consume how many % of battery.
Maybe the problem is related to an app you downloaded lately
Thank you for all your comments so far guys. Unfortunately I am no closer to finding out what has started to dissolve my battery.
I have done a factory reset today to rule out any rogue app causing problems.
Just seems odd that I can go from getting 36-40 hours usage down to about 15 without dramatically increasing my time spent using the phone.
I bought my nexus 5 couple of weeks ago and from the beginning I experienced a really poor battery life.
From the screenshot, please other nexus 5 users let me what do you think about this battery performance, is that normal ? When this screenshot is taken about 17% battery was remaining. Please suggest me how can I improve this battery performance.
I am using-
Stock rom
Rooted
Low brightness as possible
Google now disabled
Location off
There's a proper sticky battery life troubleshooting thread for this, it will tell you how to troubleshoot your issues better, no need to open another thread . Please post more detailed screenshots over there
But looking at your 'usage', in your list you seem to have forgotten to add "played Hay Day for 2 hours"
So my simple suggestion to improve your battery performance: don't play Hay Day for 2 hours....

2 hours gaming + 2 hours SOT. Where is the problem?
Need to use Per App Modes to underclock CPU for your games to get more out of it.

Yeah, Thanks for your help, I highly appreciate it and also going to post on your link.
Anyway, the game usage is there so I felt like not to mention that, lol.

Could you please explain what is SOT and how could I use Per App Modes to underclock CPU for gaming. Thanks a lot for your reply.

SOT would be Screen On Time
I imagine what he means is that something like Tasker when said app liek a game is open it underclocks the cpu and then resets it back to normal when you leave the app.
This would stop the cpu being put to max all the time and thus using more power consuming more battery.

I'm still not sure what you'll gain out of posting there though, your battery statistics are very skewed, which is why you have a perception of 'poor' battery life...
It's like driving a car at 100mph with the windows open, the stereo loud with the air con on...and then wondering why the tank is empty and the fuel economy is so bad...
Or leaving all the house lights and appliances on all the time, and wondering why the electricity meter is increasing so quickly.
Playing a mobile game for two hours...........not much different...it makes the battery life look 'poor' by most standards...
In all three cases, it's how you use it which will define how much energy / battery is used. Basic laws of physics
the 'Normal usage' is impossible for any user to define as we're all different, but still I'm going to guess that most of us don't include 2 hours gaming in that statistic
What kind of battery are you currently running on? That may be contributing to the short battery life.

of course, its his battery!
no way it has anything to do with 2 hours of gaming(sarcasm)
seriously though..
Read the first 2 posts in the thread linked above by @eddiehk6
Lots of tips there.
But as others said....2 hours of gaming will make your battery drop like a rock.
There's things in that link that can help you squeak a little more out of your battery....but gaming is the worst thing you can do to your battery life. Nothing you can do about it....except not play. So, keep the screen dimmer....and keep your charger handy.
Use bricked kernel, i get 6 hours screen on time with that

Me too! ?
And every other kernel...including stock.
The available battery life in mate 9 used to be showing around 60 hrs of standby time during initial periods and started decreasing day by day (my latest available battery is 16 hrs @100% charge).
I read about this issue from many others as well. As a fix people were doing a "reset all settings" which worked for a few days but the problem started reappearing later. Is anyone here know any permanent fix for this issue?
It's not a bug, this only shows you how much available depending on ur usage pattern,so for each owner will be different value.
It's like stamina mode in Xperia's phones.
Yup. Stop using your phone so much and it will increase, if it's that important to you.
Thanks guys, I too thought of this possibility but was a bit worried thinking that it's telling the standby time. Anyways I am getting 7 hrs sot most of the time.

Hi all,
I am new to the world of Android devices and started to explore all the settings on my Mate 9. What I do want to know is there any possibility to reset the setting without restoring the whole phone back to scratch. For example if I'd like to change some battery settings and decide they did not fit can I simply reset the made changes. (f.e.battery, notifications of mobile data for each app)
Best regards

Hello all. I recently received my Pixel 3 and everything was great with my battery the first couple of days with almost 5-6 hours of SOT. Now after fully setting up all my apps and accounts I am only getting about 3-4 hours tops of SOT. What is the best way to determine which app and/or account is causing this issue? I've tried to determine it through the battery details in my settings but it's not goving me enough details to determine it. Any help would be much appreciated.

Getting 3-4 hours is what I would expect. I'm not sure why you are surprised. What were you expecting from a 5.5" screen 2160x1080 screen and only 2915mAh battery? Honestly I'm more surprised that you got 5-6 hours.
I bought my OP7 7 days ago , I have been experiencing poor battery life from day 1. SOT is around 3 to 4 hours , standby time is around 22 hours. If I leave the phone idle for an hour , the battery percentage drops 4 percent without any activity . I do remember receiving an OTA update on the first boot , I don't know if that was the culprit or I have been sold a lemon. I have waited for a week hoping that the battery life would improve after a few charge cycles but there has been no change.
Is everybody else facing the same issue , especially those who are on 9.5.x ?
I have to say that i do not experience any issues like that. The overnight drain is minimal, a few % over 8 - 9 hours, and overall the screen time is as expected (i daily play some extremely CPU heavy games for a couple of hours and i still get around 5 hours of screen).
I'm also experiencing the same issues. When phone idle abnormal battery drain.
Can you tell me if the phone with the cellular data turned off, uses data from your plan? Can you see that?
I had same issue with my phone so then I returned it to Amazon and I received replacement which is working fine and giving good battery backup.

I made 2 returns, I'm now with the third phone and still had the same issue. I'm losing my mind how is that possible. And for sure is all new phones with different imei.
Every user has different usage profiles.
If your phone is rooted install Better Battery stats or FK to get detailed info about the rogue process that may be consuming more battery than it should.
Cheers

I'm not a heavy usage user.
I'm not rooted but installed a similar app. I'll collect data and will post the screenshots.
