Does anyone have any idea how well does Camera2 works on OP7p?
On previous OnePlus devices there were issues with some camera apps unable to set manual focus an lighting (it is the reason sultanxda left OnePlus development).

any.chance of getting a google camera with portrait mode support?
Pixel Google Camera Port
I tried so many builds but not getting any success. i think our developers can fix this...
Is there any one who can help in this case...We need to run this camera on our device ? Low end phones with single camera are getting great portait shots in Front ? and back ?. I tried to run in on my Honor 8 but it crashes after and after.... Anybody please help me?
Is there any update on this? I was hoping to use the pixel camera for portrait mode.
Hi I am not aware whether you all are facing this issue. Portrait mode on Miui 10 Pie automatically uses the Telephoto, or the secondary lens by default and there is no way to change this. As a result the viewfinder automatically zooms the photo 1.5 to 2x and it becomes literally a mess of a portrait photo. I am wondering why is no one raising this issue. The camera sucks now. Does anyone have a workaround??
My device is Asus Zenfone 3 ZE520KL. I use the latest 8.0.0 stock ROM without root.
For Google Camera 6.1, the following port works only if you tweak a few settings:
MGC_6.1.021_V2e-fu24_Aux3way_4Lens-04h-dual.apk by fu24
When the camera turns on for the first time, the viewfinder will black out for both rear and selfie cameras. The way to fix it:
Go to the settings of the camera (by swipe to the rightmost screen and select settings)
Select BSG MOD settings (the topmost option)
Select FIX (the bottommost option)
Select "Default GCam CaptureSession" (the second bottommost option)
Checking both checkboxs (namely disabling Google Camera default capture session in both Photo mode and Video mode)
On my device, selfie photos have a green tint except when HDR+ is turned off. You can fix this under FIX mentioned above. Under FIX, enable "Fix Green Tint" and it will work.
The Google Camera port perfectly supports 16.3 MP (4656 x 3496) for the phone and is very stable for daily use. The only thing that hasn't worked (as of now) is when shooting 16.3 MP (4:3) and with HDR+ turned off. Normally the camera produces a photo of 4656 x 3496 with HDR+ or HDR+ Enhanced. When HDR+ is turned off, a low resolution photo (1920 x 1440) is taken instead. There is no such problem if other resolutions are used instead, such as 8 MP (4:3, 3264 x 2448).
In addition to Camera, what also works on my device:
Video (even when Back Camera is UHD 4K)
Portrait
Night Sight
Lens Blur
Panorama
Slow motion doesn't work, as the video has a very weird tint and is not usable.
Another Google Camera 6.1 port that works for me:
MGC_6.1.021_MI8_V2e-fu24_02c.apk by fu24 (The Camera blacks out at first. You need to go to settings once. It seems this will automatically disable Google Camera default capture session in both Photo mode and Video mode for you. The viewfinder begins to work when you return.)
Other Google Camera 5.x ports that work for me:
GoogleCamera_5.2.025-Final_fu24-18d1.apk by fu24
GCam_Pixel3Mod_1.3_build.6.1.021.apk by Arnova8G2
If you can't download from any of the above links, for backups you can go to celsoazevedo's website and search for the two modders.
Thanks again for all the hard work from fu24 and Arnova8G2.
Thanks for your sharing, I use stock 8.0 too.
I tried using this version, MGC_6.1.021_V2e-fu24_Aux3way_4Lens-04h-dual.apk, and it works very well.
Thanks
Some phones have OIS while others don't. Camera apps can be installed on almost any phone. So does a camera app need to be informed that a phone has OIS - e.g. by a setting ?
Or, is the image received by camera apps from the phone hardware already 'processed' by the OIS hardware ?
And, is it possible to disable OIS (for whatever reason) ?
Hello, I have a problem with rear camera on my Nokia 7.2, Lineage 18.1. In the attachment there is the comparison. Front camera is ok, video mode is ok, but rear camera is very off, regardless app beside WhatsApp. Outside it is, let's say, acceptable, but whenever it's not sun the results are terrible. Does it happen to you too? Is it fixable? Does it happen on stock ROM too? Do you know where the problem comes from?
Thanks.
edit1: I continue my research. Maybe my progress will help someone with similar issues. Found out my camera chip is Samsung S5KGM1SP. Some of the GCAMs have option for chip-specific white balance, one which is working for me is from BSG - mgc_8.1.101_A9_GV1u_ENG, I set the autobalance chip and in the viewfinder it's still bad, but when I take a photo it's alright with the righ WB.
Same problem on Pixel Experience 10 (partially solved by setting Pixel 4a in camera app) and Lineage OS 18.1. I suppose that it goes from non-stock vendor.
Stock rom&camera works good, no yellowing.
