Hi. I've been trying all the Nougat ROMS out there, but there's a bug in all of them, I can't connect to hidden SSID networks.
Is anyone facing the same issue?
Is there any Nougat ROM without this bug?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
I'm facing a strange issue with the WIFI after the 5.1.1 update, the issue is after my nexus 5 device connects to my home WIFI router, the internet speed falls sharply, and all other devices that are connected to my router will have a very slow internet connection.
Does anybody have an idea on how to fix this issue?
Thanks

Hi all,
I received the device and have problems to connect to my (non-hidden) 5Ghz wifi. I remember that there was an issue for Pie to connect to hidden SSIDs so I enabled the broadcast, but still cannot connect. Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks!
solved: reset router incl. all settings.
What is your wifi router vendor?
I own a TP-Link AC1200 Archer C5.

Thanks for looking this up. I finally ended up setting up my router from scratch after the bad support from TP-Link destroyed my login after the firmware update and the subsequent restore of the settings backup. After adding all stuff (incl. MAC-filtering), everything works now also with 5 GHz.
My wifi SSID does not appear at all on my phone, however it works fine on my computer and other mobiles. Not sure if anyone has messed with the router settings, but is it even possible po hide SSID for specific devices? I've tried connecting through my laptop and then openin my laptop's hotspot, and again the hotspot name does not appear in my phone. Other WiFis work fine. I've tried restarting router and phone, resetting the network and bluetooth settings, but nothing is working. I'm using a nexus 6p with Statix OS, android pie rom. Anyone has an idea what the problem might be? Thanks in advance.

If you're using a custom ROM, it might be an issue with the ROM itself. You should post this question in the thread where you got the ROM so the developer that built the ROM can see if it is something they need to fix in their ROM.
To see if it is a result of the ROM you are using, try a different ROM to see if the problem still exists. If it works on other ROMs then the problem is definitely the ROM you are currently using and the developer will have to fix it.

Since upgrading to OS 10 (rooted), I can't connect to hidden WiFi ssid. I got "out of range" response.
At the beginning I did had a problem to connect any wifi, but it solved after I installed customized kernel (arter97 ). Now the problem is only to connect hidden ssid.
any advice?
