For those of you who also play Clash but Hate how it doesn't go full screen on the OP6 here is the Fix!
I discovered this fix for Clash Royale (might work for other apps also). I am currently on Oxygen OS version 9.0.3 but it should work for any version of Oxygen OS!
1. Uninstall Clash Royale
2. go to APK mirror and download Clash Royale 2.1.7
3. Install the downloaded APK
4. Go into setting and you should now see it as an option to make Clash Full screen
5. Lastly update clash via the google play store and that's it! It should work now!!
ENJOY!
Thank you brother.
Do you mean in-game settings? Installed app won't let me, because want to update immediately after run.

This workaround was working on Android Pie a few months ago, but I had to wipe my phone today and start over and I can't get it to go to fullscreen anymore. I think something changed in OxygenOS in the last update or Clash Royale has some hard coded values for aspect ratio or immersive that's preventing it from going fullscreen.
WORKS!! thank you!!
Not required anymore since the game itself has been updated for the full screen experience.
I solved it by uninstalling Clash Royale...
Still not getting full screen even after following this and updating
It is not Working Brother.... I followed all above-mentioned then update the app it again go back to normal resolution.... It feels bad to have 2 dark cuts on top and bottom of display is someone fix it or report it to Supercell

Does anyone know how to fix the problem when you change the dpi on your phone, some apps wont show up because playstore thinks its not the right devoce for the app??
I usually set my dpi to 380-400... I like the smaller icons/fonts while having more screen space..
I tried setting the back to 480 and clearing cache from playstore and frame service and rebooted... But it didnt work... How long do I need to wait for the Playstore to update or is there another way around so I dont have to reset the dpi back to default..
Thanks

There is an xposed module called play store fixes for this very thing. Might be worth a shot but I don't know of it works in the new play store.

All credits goes to Developer. I came accross this post in 4pda.
Miui Pro - nice ROM, a lot of customisation, more than epic ROM, no builtin root, gaaps and Google hdr camera included, beautiful weather app, colorful statusbar icons, nice assistant at the end of the last left screen, like in other ROMS I had to disable permissions to record video, exposed & AGNi compatible, I had some weird in call app layout (everything was moved down, maybe before of xMiui).

Try searching Google on the play store and see if any apps need updating. In particular android Web development app
I have the same issue, both search bar and google now close/restart. If I uninstall google app update back to the base 8.1 version then the issue goes away but miss several new features.
Webview is set to 'Chrome 62.0.3202.84'
'Android System WebView 61.0.3163.98' is greyed out so can't see if that makes any difference.
Any suggestions appreciated, hoping DP2 might resolve
Seriously guys?
I already opened a thread and no one answered me.

All resolved for me after OTA to final - DP2 from both OTA and Factory clean install were still crashing, final OTA arrived couple of days ago and has not crashed since.
I had this problem as well. Seems to be related to the wallpaper. I had Aurora Time Lapse set - changing to a static/non live data wallpaper fixed it. Change back to Aurora and the problems come back.

I'm using Aurora, Time Lapse as well, but no issue since the final OTA from DP2 - just hoping the problem does not return, will bear in mind changing wallpaper.

I am sorry but why would you need to do that on Phoenix ROM when the ROM itself includes Always on by default ?
Does it work on Nougat 7.1.1(Oxygen 4.7.6]also or not?
I’m really missing the much better quality and customizable AOD on Samsung device.
Current implementation with ambient display from OnePlus is totally crap.
No proximity sensor any more no interaction with notifications on screen.
Very very poor version from OnePlus.

I use Glance Plus wit the optional paid Always On feature. Works great. Only thing is it doesn't honor the Quiet times I set, used to work in 4.7.6, but does honor the Silent switch, but unless something triggers it to awake/sleep again, it won't go to sleep still automatically at night when I don't want it to work.
Also have tried Always On from the play store, it works good as well. Just not a fan of the sizing/font options on the free version, but it works well also.
Be nice if OnePlus can replicate the Samsung version...that thing is nice.

Unfortunately those app consume more battery than stock implementation from OEM.
I’ve tried in the recent past and battery drain was 3-4% per hour.
Considering that AOD at Samsung only loose 1% per hour that’s a significant increase in battery drain with third party app.

Samsung's version also does some hardware tricks like dropping the refresh rate and pixel clock and number of colors. The display hardware literally has a special mode to reduce power use that isn't supported by most hardware, or.if it is, it's not implemented by Android

It wouldn't work for me at first, but I got it working now. All you need to do is make sure ambient display is already turned on before you build/enable the Substratum overlay. Then follow the instructions in the OP.

However it seems buggy and doesn't seem to work properly. At least on RR Oreo.

Scoop: Catches a stack trace when an app crashes unexpectedly
This module - as the description says - saves the stack trace of a crashing app and displays all crashes in a list so you don't have to look through a long logcat anymore. Additionally you get a notification on every crash (configurable) which already displays the most important information.

This app is based on @MrWasdennnoch's Scoop Xposed module which doesn't work on Android Pie anymore (no Xposed :crying::crying, so I forked it and made it work without Xposed. I've also made some UI changes so the app feels more modern.
The app still packs many functionalities like the old module does, with a nice addition. These are the supported features.
- Search in crashed apps
- Search in stack trace
- Crash preview in notification
- Combination of same crashes / apps to avoid long repetetive lists
- Crash blacklist
- Quick actions to copy / share a stack trace
- Uploading to dogbin for convenient sharing.

I have an issue with Google Photos that makes it crash because something is null (checked using logcat). Tried this app but it didn't catch that crash as well. This is using MIUI 10 on Android 6.0 unrooted.
Works flawlessly on my devices but if I may ask, would you please provide an option to toggle the dark theme on/off/auto ?
Centered actionbar title
Hi @paphonb,
Thank you for your effort and congrats on the nice result. The app is really useful.
While rewriting the v4a app I was trying to implement a centered action bar title just like in your app, but I haven't been able to achieve the desired result. I wondered if you want to share the source or some code snippets to help me out a little.
Hope to hear from you,

Iirc you just need to override setTitle and getTitle and direct those to the textview instead. Only the layout part is hard.

Didn’t google remove the start on boot broadcast on Oreo?
@paphonb just letting you know that Scoop 2.0.3 is working as a Xposed module for me with Android Oreo + EDXposed 0.2.9.7 but I believe it will also work on Android Pie. The only setback is that Scoop only captures the logs if Scoop is open in my recent apps (I'm sure it's working through Xposed because I did not give root permissions for Scoop to be able to enable read logs permission). Could you test on your device and fix whatever it takes to work perfectly as a (ed)xposed module just as old Scoop worked with Xposed for Marshmallow and Nougat? Thank you!

I do not know...
However... I do know there are lots of apps that do start at boot... And I don't always remember to start scoop...
But having at least SOME logs when you're not ready for a crash has made life easier
@paphonb Would you mind adding a filter option so some apps' specific crashes (eg some that would occur often) are blacklisted ?
Also, when many notifications are generated, they won't bundle in one expandable Scoop notification. Could you make it so they would ?
