My new Dual Sim Mi MIX 2S only "sees" one SIM (the one in slot 2), the one in slot 1 is not recognized. Before I activate both, I would like to know how I can force my Mi MIX 2S to "see" both SIM. Thanks for any suggestion on how to proceed.
I have used my 2S for a long time with two sims, maybe your sim card reader is defective?
I sent the device back to the dealer. It was found faulty. Too bad for Xiaomi, I for sure won't buy anything from them anymore. What is however the alternative (same price, same specifications)?
Why wouldn't you buy xiaomi again? All companies that make phones have issues sometimes. It's electronics. Not many companies produce the same phone with specs as xiaomi for same cheap price. I've had 20 xiaomi phones and haven't had any issues. Try again youll be happy you did.

As the title say I'm probably buying the non pro version due to the huge price difference (140€), what do you guys think? Ah I'm coming from a OnePlus 6, yesterday unfortunately I've discovered that the type c is kind loose and now the cable slips away if I slightly move the device...
Thanks in advance for the help!
7t should be out in 2 months time. Might be worthwhile waiting for it.

Problem is that I don't know when the type c port will break definitely, that's my main concern...

Probably an inexpensive fix. Won't you need to get it fixed if you plan on selling the phone at some stage?
I'd get it repaired and wait for the 7t.
Might find the 7pro gets heavily discounted soon too.
I've got the 7pro and it is fantastic! The 90hz screen is unlike anything I've ever used on a smartphone. Not sure the 7/7t will have a 90hz display.

It depends on Amazon answer on that, sometimes they refund it if it's not available. Anyway I'll do as you advised, I'll wait for the T version hoping to not break the port :fingers-crossed:

NO!
Oneplus 7 is worth buying in China, because you spend 200€ less money (about 400€ for a new 8/256GB) and you keep Oneplus official warranty for 1 year.
Ok you lose just 1 year, but the price is the same as a Mi 9T Pro
Or if you are lucky enough (just as me), you could find in Amazon Warehouse Deals, an OP7 used in perfect condition, paying the same as a new one in China market, but with a perfect phone and Amazon warranty (and you can give it back if it is not good enough for you).
I found a French OP7: same as the others OP, but in France it is mandatory to include earphones into the package (usb-c earphones worth 20€ in Oneplus shopping page)
I ordered the OP7 with 256Gb/8GB Ram for 390€ at Gearbest during flashsale. Pretty good deal in my opinion ? I hope the delivery doesn't take too long...

I ordered my OnePlus 7 8/256 from Aliexpress for $440 so no, Amazon's current price of 600 euros is not a good deal.
For that kind of money you would get the 7 Pro on Aliexpress.
No, this device not worth such money!
I have it for 3 month already and no single custom rom, I would wait little bit for release of 7t pro and buy the 7 pro version.
Have you tried maybe the usb plugs from ali like quick connect..

I personally advise to purchase the OP7. It's my best best phone so far (dual speakers, same ufs3, same main camera...).
But... I've paid 381€ for the 8/256 chinese version in a much nicer red colour. There's no important difference between global and chinese versions (charger plug, instructions language...). You've even got 1 year official warranty!

Do you guys recommend buying the OnePlus 7 now? I can get a pre-owned 6GB with 10 months warranty with insurance remaining. Around 75% of that price I can get a 6T with a few months warranty remaining. Also I can't afford a 7T. Which phone do you guys recommend?
Tbh I wouldnt get either phone
Theres a lot more phones coming out this year with better specs
My Zenfone 6 charging light started coming on randomly last night. The phone restarted and then gets to the Zenphone logo and automatically shuts down. I connected it to several chargers and it does not charge. I can enter the screen where yiu hold the volume up button and power button. I called asus support but because i bought the phone from hong kong the warranty is not valid here in the states. Any suggestions???
Thank you
get it the mainboard replaced out of warranty via asus or someone else and pay the fee wherever you bought it from told you in advance you wouldn't have a warranty.
Yeah, buying zenfone 6 without warranty with such poor quality control is a bad idea. Seems like your mobo died.

Do you own one? Are we seeing issues with the 'C' build in the US? I haven't. My build is rock solid.
True on your warranty statement!

That's true. I made the same mistake with the Zenfone 2. Getting one without a warranty, mixed with unknown quality control was a very bad idea.

I own 'A' 8/256. I don't have any report concerning US models. AFAIK early models are mostly from 'A' region.
It works great for me but that doesn't change the fact many people are complaining here and on ZenTalk about different problems, most of them could be easily resolved via better quality control. Dying motherboards are just one of them. Some phones suffered from camera lens getting foggy, parts misalignment, some phones are heating more than others or one of sim slots didn't work. I believe those are early production models but you can get one with problems by accident and then what? I can definitely recommend this phone, just don't try to save some bucks from importing it or you can get into
serious problem.

I will totally agree with the warranty. That's why I waited (and waited...lol) for the North American version.

Hi all,
I had an issue with my battery (it puffed up and popped the back cover) and when I changed it, seems like I was a little bit sloppy and I damaged the flex of the fingerprint reader. It started to work intermittently and now is completely dead. The CIT test says NO FP.
On my country we have just one seller that's selling a Mix 2 fingerprint reader, and I was curious if it's the same as the one on the Mix 2s. If not, I'll have to wait for aliexpress to allow the standard chinese couriers, because as you know the price of shipping via FedEx or UPS is at least one order of magnitude more expensive than the item itself.
Thanks!
You can look at disassembly guides for the mix 2 and 2s, try to compare if they look visually identical and if they are plugged in at the same spot. Good luck!
Hi all , I'm thinking of trading my S10 to a OnePlus 8t , the battery on my Exynos S10 is dead after about 4 hours sot so I'm looking at the 8t , what are your opinions ?
The 2 are not even comparable. You are trying to compare a 2-generation old device with a 1-generation old device. The 8T will blow the S10 out of the water (esp a Exynos variant).

Thanks for your reply , tbh the 8t being 6 months old already did put a question mark against getting it but looking at the specs it does seem a better phone , not bothered about SD card slot and headphone jack , the price of the 8t on the OP site is a really great price for what is on offer compared to the OP9 .

Not sure which variant you're looking at but make sure it's not the one manufactured and sold in India. For whatever reason that one is junk. Just go to the OnePlus Community site and read the unending complaints from most people in India. I personally use the 8T as my only phone and I think it's great...but I have the Global/NA variant. So...YMMV.

Hi, i could't find any info about AGM mobile Glory G1 pro. What do you know about this phone? That is expensive rugged phone. But what with quality and possibilities?
I had ulefone armor 10 5g and now bought AGM glory pro. I'am little bit confused about price, armor 10 price is about 350 EURO, amg glory pro 850 EURO.
Between those two devices i see only two differences. Ulefone have more sensors. Compare to agm i pay only for loudspeaker and thermal/night vision camera.

Actually there are 3 different versions of the glory pro. Depends which country variant you buy, the Chinese one has a laser range finder.
More interesting model is G1S as it is cheaper
did you get a G1s?
i got the wife one, and i picked up the INFIRAY PX1
these two phones are almost the same thing, but its hard to find a ROM for them.
the thermal quality is BAR NONE best yet.
Hi @mprudic0404,
Can you share the px1 infrared cammera app? I have agm g1s, but I saw on a video that px1 app has more options.
i've been interested in the agm glory series. i've used blackview, oukitel, umidigi, ulephone, and doogee. the one thing they all have in common is non existant software support. i can do without an upgrade to android versions, but the lack of security patches annoys me enough i've stopped buying any of them. agm phones, the glory series in particular, atleast has a more premium price. can any users here confirtm they offer secutiry patches on a regular basis?
Nope, do not expect updates. Premium price does not mean premium service with Chinese manufacturers. Agm is no exception.
The big thing about the G1 (I have one) is the snapdragon processor. this was a deal breaker option for me and WHY I selected the G1. the performance difference is night and day. it FEELS like a flagship phone.
the high res thermal and night vision cams are the selling points (It has both) alone with that snap dragon processor.
one bit of warning BUY the extended 2yr warranty. mine is 1.5 years and the battery is puffing. warranty is only 1 year and they do NOT offer a battery replacement service ...... I have no idea if its even possible to tear this phone apart without destroying it.

They make truly great hardware but they really do need to get their **** together on how hard they have everything locked down.
All of their firmware in encrypted and can't be extracted with regular tools. You can't reboot into field test mode or any other means to gain access with PDC tools or EFS explorer. You can't execute SU commands via ADB Shell.
All well and good if your device is locked down this hard when it ships feature-complete, but when core components (VoWifi etc) are not working globally, all you are doing is preventing users from fixing the issues themselves. It's infuriating.
