No i didn't

Your drivers might have got out of date, in that case I advise you to update it! It should help! Or maybe your antivirus blocks it, my friend had such an issue

I have the same issue! Just today I flashed TWRP and Magisk and my wifi went away.... Bluetooth works well, but Wifi doesn't turn on...
EDIT: I have solved the problem, and its flashing the correct firmware and kernel.
Firmware should be the last verion of oreo
And the kernel you can pull it from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-xz/how-to/rooted-kernels-f8332-41-3-2-588-0-t3748987
Being the latest one: 41.3.A.2.192
I intsalled Magisk V18 and the phone is running correctly.

bluetooth not working after update

i updated CM11s and now bluetooth is not working anymore.
if i try to turn it on, it tries to activate bluetooth, then goes back off.
a full wipe didn't solved the problem, but it works with a clean rom (i tried mahdi, but i had to restore backup since monday i'm leaving for holidays and i don't have time to restore all i need on the mobile now).
i know i'm not giving many infos to have some help, but if you give me some directions i can try to fix it.
also, is it possible to reinstall CM11s with twrp or just through fastboot?
thanks!
I also have trouble with Bluetooth.
It tries to send file but either the app crashes or the file can't be sent.
Any info in that?
seems like noone has this kind of troubles
Hi! I just ran into the same problem: after upgrade to Cyanogen OS version 11.0-XNPH05Q, my bluetooth connection turns out to be unusable.
It first seems to connect (after "search for devices" is hit), but immediately when the call is initiated, the connection drops out (nokia BH-105).
Will check with my car installation too.
Is it possible to downgrade to previous Cyanogen OS version - I even don't know, which one was it... but at least it was working well!
Also having troubles with Bluetooth and my car-system since the 5Q update.
Before latest 5Q update everything works fine, but now neither of the devices can see the other one anymore
already deleted existing pairing in my car-system, but can't set up new pairing...
wondering if change of kernel can be a solution tho?

Wifi won't turn on - Z3 D6653

Hi!
I need help regarding my phone Sony Xperia Z3 D6653 - I followed the procedures properly on how to unlock and root the phone via
http://theunlockr.com/2014/10/08/how-to-root-the-sony-xperia-z3/
and
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/orig-development/d66xx-cwm-based-recovery-6-0-4-7-root-t2890116
it went well with no errors at all but after the reboot and flashing SuperSU, the wifi won't turn on anymore, I tried everything in the advanced options on wifi but it didn't make any difference at all, Bluetooth, LTE and Mobile Data Works fine, also tried wiping data (factory reset the thing) but still no dice.. please help... thanks!
Edit:
Even the Wifi hotspot doesn't work, my only option left is to flash it back to stock rom
I have the exact same issue. Followed the same processes and with no funny vibrations or anything but WiFi won't turn on.

Do a full reflash of ROM with flashtool. It should fix it.
As i know, kernel handle the wifi, and if something is wrong in kernel this happens.
Since you are lockedbootloader if i am correct, i dont know why it has this behaviour.
But anyway, backup your things, and do Full reflash, let me know.
You said you are unlocked. Flash another kernel and test it.

That or wifi module for that kernel.

WIFI Issue on 7.0

PLEASE HELP ME!
I have 930F model. I was on ZPK4 (first 7.0 beta), and then updated to ZPKK (with ZPK4 bootloader and modem). My WIFI stopped finding networks, while SIM worked fine. When I downgrade to first beta or 6.0.1 everything works fine.
When ZPLH came out, I tried to update it again (flashing ZPLH bootloader and modem successfully). The same problem is happening again!!!! no WIFI networks found!
ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE?
hello
Wait for the official version
Still have the same problem after official DPLT was out! WIFI finds networks when i downgrade to 6.0.1 or when using AOSP roms.

I dont have this problem before or after root.
But this issue was reported when some people rooted the nougat with old supersu versions.
May be you can try this : backup ua data > wipe everything(except external storage - if ua using a memory card) in TWRP > flash the official firmware through ODIN.
I'm having the exact same problem.
If you live in Syria, Iran, Cuba or Austria then it's about the Wi-Fi region code. The only workaround is to enable airplane mode, turn on Wi-Fi then disable airplane mode.
Unfortunately, if you're having the same problem for Wi-Fi tethering, then you will lose the functionality of sharing internet connection.

You nailed it! I live in Syria and just found out that the problem lies in WPA_SUPPLICANT. Is there any way to fix this problem? I tried to replace the file from 6.0.1 or AOSP roms, but WIFI stopped completely from turning on.

I don't think that the file itself is responsible. Once "GB" region code is loaded, wifi works great. There's a new Nougat firmware released in the UAE, so fingers crossed.
Also, what AOSP ROM are you using? I tried Resurrection Remix and Wi-Fi still wasn't working.

XSG Odin files have not been released yet. This is strange though, I've tried RR and wifi wasn't working. Makes me wonder if we actually have the same issue.

I think we have the same issue, but strange things happen! welcome to the Galaxy!
has anyone tried "MoKee" AOSP rom? It is the only one with working WIFI
Because it's the only ROM that didn't update the wifi drivers yet. I think any AOSP ROM that was built before 10/1 should have a working wifi.
Mokee is for china. Their latest build included new wifi drivers by fevax. I havent tried it yet. This is a report for TW xsg

sm-g920F Modem info 8.1

I've spent months now trying to find a modem update for my Samsung SM-G920F 8.1 oreo without any luck. I get none stop wifi disconnections and in tired of this. I have searched every place I can even think of. Can anyone help?
I'm in the UK and can only find any info on US modems.
Any time any questions are asked about this, people seem to avoid the question or just point to dead posts.

Maybe the issue is not with the modem?
From the time that the issue started, what did you initially try and what have you tried since then up to now?

I have come to this conclusion from a bug report i made to lineage. There solution they have been giving everyone was "update modem/baseband", although i must admit, i haven't had any issues on another Samsung i have (SM-G910N) which i found strange as that's never had a modem update since like 5.1)
I've tried a few customers kernels (AldeXus kernel, fk r5+r7 anytime kernel, quantum oreo g920x v2, stormguard oc mido 6.2, + few more), that have all failed to install due to "unsupported device" but claim to support sm-g920f, but in all honesty i really don't know what else to try.
I get this issue on 8.1 lineage and 8.1 resurrection and the highest stock ROM available for this phone is 7.1 (don't get this issue on 7.1).
I've searched everything direction i can and so far the only solutions i could see that make sense is baseband as of course it controls communication with WiFi and network.
Lineage refuse to help as that is there only solution and point me to a thread that is for a nexus who have a 8.1 stock ROM to take the modem from (decompiling a stock ROM and flashing the modem)

The modem i currently have installed is from the 7.1 stock ROM but i think what ill do is download the latest 7.1 and try and see what if it has any improvements as it has been a few months since i flashed the 7.1 modem so there could possibly be an improvement in one of the latest updates.
Truly hope so because although lineage it disconnected often, it would reconnect rather easy but resurrection its become a right pain cause its making me turn the wifi off and back on again before it can find any wifi around me!
Thanks for the links pal, I'll give it a shot once i finally manage to download the ROM lol

Updated the modem. Now to wait and see if it any better haha. THanks for the links!
Found it was super simple to do.
Pulled the tar.md5 apart with 7zip and then zipped it back up with 7zip and it flashed with odin nice and simple . Links are useful for the img files tho! also good to learn from!

Yep done it a fair few times. Also gone through like 5 lineage updates and 2 resurrection updates. Wipe dalvik/cache each time. Plus wipes cache when rooting, getting any laggy points so on.
Can the kernel help improve the wifi? Its so far the only thing that not been updated (although i can't seem to find a single kernel that works but curious if that may be the issue).
I assume it is an issue I'm having unlike most on 8.1 with a sm-g920f as I'm not seeing many saying they are having the same issue

I'm doubting whether the kernel is related with the issue.
When you flashed Lineage, did you perform a system wipe and then clean install the ROM?

Yep every time i install a new room i wipe everything (other then internal storage). This issue has only come about when i wiped everything on 7.0 then installed 8.0. Then wiped it again and put 8.1 cause i didn't notice there was a 8.1 update.

Do any of the updated that you've taken, have locked bootloader that prevents downgrading the stock firmware? If you can flash back to what you originally had when you first rooted the device, then root and install TWRP again, it might clear things up and return to its original working state before whatever update started the issue.
In other words, if you can get back to what you originally had, then work your way back through all the way up to just before the update except don't do that update this time, maybe you can figure something out from there to update the device without causing the same issue this time.

I don't believe I've ever had any bootloader locks. Been unlocked from the first day i unlocked it and never re enabled.
I just realised this started on 15.1 as just checked my lineage but report and it was for 15.1.
When i made the bug report, this was the link they gave me then closed the ticket: https://jira.lineageos.org/plugins/servlet/mobile#issue/BUGBASH-1890
even typing this out the wifi dropped out ?. when it was on 15.1, it used to need the wifi to be turned off, the phone would freeze then after a few minutes the wifi would turn off. I'd then turn it back on and all wifi would pick back up. the closest i could find to the wifi issue is:
https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/foru...xy-s6/524916-s6-wifi-drop-out-issues.html?amp
That some one said "I also have this issue I would know wifi disconnects and reconnects becoz the phone will stop responding. It not that I get ANR notif but the phone is jsut froze and only responsive when wifi reconnects. "
Which is as close to my issue i have.
I think i may just go back to stock and see if it works, then as you say slowly move up bit by bit till i start getting the issue and see what happens.

Once you get flashed back to stock and then get TWRP installed, make sure you make a nandroid backup before performing the next step, if the issue starts, you can restore the backup and be back to what you had before performing that step. Each time you successfully step up without issues, make a new backup and remove the backup from before that, then perform your next step, always keeping a backup from just before that step.

stable android 11 released for op7p

why is no one discussing stable android 11 for op7p ? got my update round 3 a.m. this morning. been searching all day for a working twrp since the stable android 11 been released. no luck though......
Hi,
Today I installed the update manually and my phone keeps flashing the TWRP load-screen at boot. It's stuck now. Is that because there is no compatible TWRP version yet? How do I fix this?? Any idea?
There is no working TWRP yet for Android 11. You'll need to flash the stock boot.img or rooted boot.img from one of the threads in the news, guides section.
Edit: TWRP screen flashing is because it's incompatible. I had the same issue on the open betas.
Have the exact same issue as above, Twrp screen flashing, cannot boot back to normal even with adb... anybody has a rooted boot.img link that knows works with Android 11?
Should have checked on xda first *slaps his face*
Always check xda first *slaps his face again*
EDIT: For other poor saps with this issue use this -> https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=2188818919693770594 I didnt managed to get booted with rooted img but the original boot img file worked well ... at least I got a phone now...
im on 10.3.8 and rooted..
can i just do the same old process.. twrp isnt an issue as long as may apps are safe and root..

No, its not the same process.... For me for example I couldnt get wifi to actually work on rooted image AND you lose the ability to do backups via TWRP..... Refer here for the latest on this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...p-recovery-for-oneplus-7-pro.3931322/page-153

I mean.. same steps.. that ive used so far amd retain its root.
1. Download rom via o2 updater
2. Flash it via local update
3. Install magisk to inactive slot
4. Reboot.
So if i do this.. wifi wont work??? Is that it???
Finished updating my phone..after downloading it for about 2 hours.
And im quite satisfied with the results. No problems whatsoever..
Glad for you... You probably had already removed the encryption on your mobile... from what I'm reading that is the main incompatibility issue with TWRP...
FWIW after playing around for a day, I had to revert everything Phone wifi was weird (weirder with root and all mods disabled) and system was a little unstable in some 3p apps and there seems to be some bugs with the phone screen 60/90 refresh... Gonna wait a bit to update again.
